In 2000, at the age of 9, I got my haircut just like Brett Lee. But when I played cricket I tried to bowl like Shoaib Akhtar. I had a smile on my face the entire time I was watching this. Absolute LEGENDS. Love these guys ❤️

Brett Lee and Shoaib came on the scene when I was around 13 years old and I wanted to be the fastest in the world.. just like these two.
I would bowl up and down my driveway every single day when I wasn’t training for my club or at junior state level, and I attribute my ability to bowl quickly to watching these two, used to give me the biggest rush of adrenaline. I got pretty quick but at 17 had two stress fractures back to back and I chose a different path, but these guys gave me something to aspire to and I remember my teen years very fondly Thanks to you both.

It's great to see these 2 legends together ... Both of them, the very best in express pace bowling in late 90's and early 2000's...in my school and college days watching these 2 bowl at 160 km/hr was mind boggling.... I think genuine fast bowlers are hard to find these days with the pitches getting more and more batting friendly... considering both of them could bowl at 160 km/hr in the air before the ball landed on the pitch, which is a lost art and should be revived ... most bowlers rely on generating pace off the pitch instead of a fuller length... We need bowlers like these to still keep cricket 🏏 interesting as a sport...

Onething noteworthy about Brett Lee speeds came down to 140s in from 2009. Shoaib was still bowling 152-155 in 2010.
Shoaib was on another level I have never seen anyone bowling around 155 kph consistently in shrjah over 47 degrees temperature !
