If I was like maybe 15 years old when Star Trek first aired back then I would’ve been watching it and other hit shows like Batman, Lost In Space, Bonanza, and whatsoever, in black and white at first.
The reason why I name-called Katie Fitzense a nut is that she had no idea of just how much I freaked out when I first saw the appearance of the Batman TV series on KTVU channel 2. This character is really scary looking, thus making people feel nervous. It's just that no one wants the truth. It's so easy to impersonate Batman just by wearing the same mask he wears. They even sound like him, even repeat merely everything he says. What kind of influence has he gained on the real world? I wish the psychiatrist, Dr. Eric Bender would be hard-headed on this character. I'm someone who used to impersonate Batman back in April 1990. I really freaked out the daycare center students who were mainly little girls. This was at the Louden Nelson Community Center in Santa Cruz, CA. 😳
This is a sponsor I.D. from the second half of an August 24, 1967 repeat episode. RCA was one of the show's regular sponsors; one main reason NBC kept it on the air during its first season- mediocre ratings and all- was because their parent company promoted their RCA Victor Color TV sets as the best way to watch "STAR TREK" {as noted in at least one magazine ad at the time}.

they only cared about how many were watching, not who was watching

This voiceover sounds like it could be Jack Costello, one of the NBC New York staff announcers.
… And Geritol, the official tonic of Starfleet!
Star Trek was sponsored by Pepsi it seems
Futurama made a joke referring to a movie called "Star Trek: The Pepsi Generation" years later
Geritol? It seems Star Trek had the same audience demographic as The Lawrence Welk Show.
Geritol is what Kirk so vigorous for his time with Princess Mirimani!
Geritol was really a product of choice for the "Trek" demographic???
Well, the Pepsi attempt wasn't successful on me.
Coke, all the way.
