It's cool to see you do some restoration on this lightbar to bring it back up to speed! I love rotating lights way more than modern l.e.d.'s and strobes. Rotating lights are just classic and have more "pop flash' effect.
I just wanted to thank you for this video as I just received my new belts for the Code 3 XL lightbar on my 1985 GMC 7000 fire engine and I've never changed the belts on one before so this video is very helpful. Hopefully I can get the belts done and the battery's recharged today so I can get the old girl started and moved around a bit and maybe she'll make it to the July antique fire apparatus muster and parade near me. Thank you again.
We actually were able to buy the same lightbar in perfect condition at a fire flea market for very cheap! So we'll have our lightbar expert swap out the lenses.
@@SeanGilmore92 that bar was stupid clean! My buddy got the Aerodynic they had and I got the old Thunderbolt Air Raid timer control box. Glad to see that bar went to a good place as well!
Turtle wax works on all the lights .and grease those gears, Now Turtle wax the Whole truck and shine the brass and chrome , and armour-all those tires.
