- I'm making bold predictions on our RFA & UFA contracts! Happy New Year everyone. Let's see which I get right and which I'm far off on. I discuss Elias Pettersson, Filip Hronek, Joshua Dakota, Nikita Zadorov, Ian Cole, Tyler Myers, Sam Lafferty & Teddy Bluegar's contracts.

Kempner Canucks produces such slick graphics, in my opinion they are amongst the best in Canuck content, of course there are others doing good as well, but right now Kempner takes the cake. If any one’s been to a game this year you would have noticed how slick and sharp the lightning and graphics are at Rogers Arena, and RevTrev here doing us a solid and following suit with that slickness
I agree with most of the contracts in theory but honestly I think it’s a bit too soon to take these contracts serious, for me there are too many variables still this year…upcoming injuries are going to change things immensely, or not, depending on severity and wether it’s a core or fringe player..
IF Petey continues to slump then gets injured and Canucks go on a downfall EVERYTHING changes. IF Demko goes down EVERYTHING changes. IF ‘Win-With-Quinn’ goes down EVERYTHING changes. This team stands on a razor’s edge. It’s these fragilities that have me concerned that the Canucks are a core player away from a debacle. Keep in mind the Canucks haven’t faced true adversity yet this year and that day is coming folks - no team goes all the way unscathed. Quite frankly, if this organization is actually serious then go get decent depth, depth that can help beat LA/VGK/NY, if not, they are kidding themselves because they truly aren’t there yet. Tell me I’m wrong

Everyone agrees that Pettersson is not playing well enough to earn top dollar at this point. What is wrong with him? Anyone done an analysis? Dakota definitely deserves a raise! We need players with his work ethic and grit.
If you look at this season and go back to last season... Petey is hurt and was hurt. He has not recovered from last season's injuries and it has added to this season's injuries. It is a physical ailment that has turned into a mental challenge, and now a shot down in confidence. Some hockey players can thrive through and after injury(ies). Some cannot. Examples... Eric Lindros or Paul Kariya and Mike Modano or Connor McDavid.

Happy New Year’s Rev! I met the Abby backup goalie in person yesterday at my jewellers yesterday: Tolopilov is an awesome guy and his girlfriend was super sweet!
Tolopilov is a monster in net. He’s massive, like 6’6 or something like that. I enjoyed watching him at Canucks training camp in Victoria.
He’s at least 6’7 got a selfie 🤳 with him: reminds me of Eddie Lack!

Pettersson not the same as 102 points off this year maybe Trade Him at Deadline or July 1 on pace 66 points
I heard what you are saying but it all comes down to what we can get for Petey. I do want to keep him but only if he produces to the amount of $$$ he's demanding.
think petey needs a miller type winger on his line. it seems like he usually is the first guy in th o zone and havoing to do all the heavy lifting. i don't think that allows for his scorer and playmaking skills. i maybe wrong, but that's how i see it. happy new year lad.
Happy New Year. Joe do you think Dakota Joshua could be effective with Petey? Because finding a top 6 winger is very hard to do at this stage of the season. Maybe they should have tried to get Patrick Kane. But he's past his prime.
they tried joshua there before but went away from it. right now, petey is the most physical guy on that line. he needs help.@@kempnercanucks
I think maybe ep40 does a shorter term deal maybe 3x12 or maybe 5x12. Hronek is 7mill for 5 and big z 4.5 x4

Contracts. Most of the bad ones are gone, Myers expires. The more cap you have, the higher quality of supporting cast. Having 5 million cap is the equivalent of a 1st rd pick. One of the reasons, Bear @2 million doesn't work.

Trev Pasternak is a Winger, Petey is Center (Top 5) in League ,,,,I think 11.5 is possible but another 4 yr bridge , I don't think he'll go longer....I think Nils Hollander is about to Break out!
I understand that about Pasternak but his production is better than Pettersson's. And I don't think Petey is a top 5 C.
But I hope you are right about Hoglander being a break out this year. I'm all in on Nils.

Shawn, thanks for watching and commenting. Happy New Year to you. Unproven in the playoffs? It's because the team has been awful for years and they haven't been in the playoffs. But when they were in the bubble Pettersson was really good.
And I totally forgot about DeSmith...oops lol

@@shawncordeiroTerraceBC maybe…there’s been zero talk about after the playoffs then they will discuss and finalize a deal. It sounds like Pettersson is the one not in a rush. It’s going to be very interesting to see what happens. Thanks for watching & commenting.

The Demko, Miller and Hughes deals were excellent. Brock is making his money. Myers won't make much next year if he stays in Vancouver.

@@user-pl8ij9et9w I believe most Canucks fans feel the same way you do, but I think Tyler Myers has played much better this season and he is playing well under Rick Tocchet. I can see a scenario where we bring him back at a reduced salary. I definitely could be wrong, but we will see.

I understand what you are saying but those good RHD are hard to find and expensive. We got lucky with Hronek...but I'm really happy with Juulsen.
