best tutorial ever made for a cork, so much heart in it, love it, gave me homework for the next weeks for sure, can't wait to break the curse, never swung past 5x corks really, like the concept of take off reaching, not height, and snapping down, the chest thing, and the difference between crunch/tuck and whip was so clear, thanks for this, thanks for opening my eyes for new point of view, appreciate this masterpiece, deserves to be seen way more, sharing it for sure, will help to fight lot.of struggles. much love from cape.town slobo.
For sure, this is the best corkscrew tutorial so far. Proper description, comprehensive step-by-step build up for the trick, and an excellent example of the trick (somehow there are a lot of cork tutorials made by people who doesn't seem to be able to do the trick properly).
Thank to get this Video, I have really tried to search for Detailed Corkscrew by Grasshopper for than two years now.but finally I am lucky I have got it.
This is the best informative cork tutorial I've ever seen i wish i had seen this tutorial earlier. It's informative and motivating. I almost lost confidence in learning the cork but now imma go get that flip in my collection. Thank you bro
that was extremely helpful even for someone who's done trip cork and dubdubdub. you gave me many insights on how to tweak and train my cork, and i will definitely be coming back to this tutorial to make sure i'm getting everything you're saying thank you!
liked before i even watched cause I know this is gonna save me from my cork swing depression. Your gumby tutorial was the only one that helped me! thanks for the fantastic coaching mate
Damn!!! i needed this tutorial so bad 3 years ago .i struggled a lot and got my cork 2 year ago but still now ,didnt realize the tips that i was missing .Thanks a ton man .have to say that this is the most helpfull detailed cork tutorial in youtube .every cork strugglers need to watch this .
Sorry to hear you were struggling with corks for so long man, but I'm glad you figured them out! Message me if there's any other tricks you're working on, that I can give you tips on to save you some time ;)
Really informative. The setting for flip vs height is great way to visualize the flip. I do it in my cart fulls, but never thought about it really in my corks. Thanks!
Setting for flip and not for height was what got me my cheat gainer/gainer flash. I kept trying to go up and up and up and was never able to get the flip around. I didn't start landing gainers until I focused on leaning back. It is cool to see that someone else agrees with me!
Got my cork because of this you're a genius! Still figuring out the pivot step setup but I got them from a scoot consistently. There's no other tutorials by people who can actually perform nice swing chains and are knowledgeable, this was great. Thanks!
Dude, thank you so much for this tutorial. It's explained so much of what is going wrong with my corks and why my swing throughs always fail, as well as why landing the double is so troubling. Great job, I wish this was on the top of tutorial lists
Bro this was so freaking helpful. I had corks down good for so long but couldnt swing through. Then i found this video and i literally wrote your tips in my phone, and i now landed a cork swing cork! Thanks so much
firstly, thank you for providing such valuable information. my corks where fuked, then i used the arabian technique to get the rotation, like set then turn your arm into a diagonal frontflip into the wrap, but man this excites me, there SO MUCH MORE TO LEARN like i love it to know the amount of small details to actually execute the cork perfectly, like u are spitting straight facts, liek i knew about whips, but not enough like you said whips or tucks interesting...
i'm sooooo glad you do it the same direction i do. makes this tutorial sooo much more easier and quicker to understand. thanks Vaios! :) love you bruh, miss you bruh!
Honestly the way I set for my corks I don’t think you need to reach that high. It’s always a balance of chest and arm placement, more important chest because it weighs more, so as long as your chest placement is good, the arms mostly help you twist. You can swing them up but don’t have to be over your head. I’m working on an updated tutorial that covers stronger technique for twisting and some fixes I’ve made to my tech since this vid! Thanks for the support and definitely don’t worry about shoulder flexibility for corks :) gumbis maybe a bit more challenging with stiff shoulders haha
Brother thanks thanks thanks i land the cork very easy it because i see this video because j step doesnt work for me but euro step work so well THANKS i try monts cork i have injuries and i land it in on day hight with the euro step
hello! can you do vidéo for musculation for tricking please?what exercices we can do to order to have musch power and efficience in tricking?thank you!
Hello, I really don't know enough to talk about health and exercise unfortunately.. You should check out Jujimufu's articles if you haven't though - acrobolix.com/articles/. Nick Vail might have some information on his channel too, maybe check it out! Or even, if you looked into similar sports that are high impact and explosive (non-endurance), you could find exercises that work well for tricking too. For ankles check out 'Dogen's titanium ankles tutorial'. I think efficiency comes from proper technique though, and as your technique gets better, you will need less and less power ;)
that was super detailed tutorial man! thank you. it's still useful for one's who got their corks but still want to make it swagger. but I still have a few questions left. 1. how to keep my chest up after one to get nice eagle position for swings? 2. is the regular cork technique differs from hyper cork/ boxcutter? 3. what u need to get ready 4 dubcorks?
I'm glad it helped man! I'll try to answer your questions: 1. I really try to get my chest (or body in general) up on the set, and then flip hard, and reach for the ground as fast as possible before losing much height - so getting into the eagle as early as you can really helps for this, and really think of twisting hard right before you eagle, almost to "finish off" the twist strong and face the ground. Just reach for the ground with the right timing, and you can always twist fast enough to make it happen. Also commit to a strong eagle position, but make sure your cork is feeling comfortable first. 2. Depends of course on the person, but I'd say you could try to keep your chest higher on the set. Also, for hypers or boxcutters don't let your swing leg trail as much, keep it a little tighter so you twist faster, since you won't need to eagle. 3. A nice high hypercork - of course cork before that, but I always prepare for dubcorks by doing hypercorks (not corks), cause the twist is more similar, you can't leave your right leg/hip as loose. Hopefully that helps! The biggest thing is probably to keep your right leg/hip tighter, don't let it trail at all because then you'll have to pull it back in and risk pulling a hip flexor or something. Set and then bring your knees together for more twists :)
what I noticed watching a lot of trickers is that they keep their swinging leg straight on corks (like you demonstrated in your tutorial). same thing is for dubcorks. but when it comes to hyper ones their swinging leg is bent in the knee and whole body position is crunched. that's why I thought maybe hyper corks and boxcutters have a different attitude and technique. although I landed my first cork like 3 years ago I couldn't improve it more (swing ir, use in combos or going for variation) since that time. all these years I've been searching Web watching tons of cork tutorials trying to find out what I'm doing wrong and how to get better. but when I watch yours I marked a lot of tips Noone ever mentioned in their tutorials. I really felt it could help me so I definitely try it when I go to the gym
Good point, on hypercorks it helps to bend your right leg to get into the next twist/to hyper it, but on doubles people may be able to twist with their legs straighter. It can be done both ways but I think crunching up a bit helps you flip more, and makes it look more like a hyper and not a swipe as well. Good luck with working on your corks!
holy fuck that standing backflip:O. How did you get so much jumping power? And great tutorial. I agree with you, the flip is probably the most important part especially for swings.
Thanks man! For height I actually always think about what I spoke in the 2nd visualization at 5 mins. I think of it like this: It's a delicate balance between standing as tall as you can, and pulling as fast as you can. Sometimes people stand up tall, but they do it slowly; or they pull hard without standing up first. It's a delicate balance between pulling fast, like a twitch, but also "twitching" up to a fully standing position first. You have to stand up suuuuuuuper tall, and make all your movements as fast and twitchy as possible. I also spent a lot of time especially when I was younger, doing sports like skateboarding and mountainbiking, so conditioning also has to be a part of it - but technique and speed are always more helpful than strength. Hope that helps! and thanks for the comment! You've got beautiful tricks, just checked out your channel! Keep it up!

Definitely the best cork tutorial vid out there, I have really stiff shoulders so can’t set high with my arms, will this affect my cork? Thanks
