hello i know this is unrelated to this video but can we have a cassandra clare and the whole the shadowhunter chronicles books analyze video pleaseee 😢 i just really like to know youre opinions about them in general tank you ❤❤
SORRY GUYS IVE BEEN IN THE HOSPITAL FOR A SPINE INJURY!!!! but anyway the movie itself as like just a movie was fine i even liked it, it was cutesy and dumb. the movie as a domestic abuse awareness movie/victim story???? failed on every single level. i wouldnt even say the book failed, the book at least opened my eyes when i read it to the fact that there was nothing i could do that would make me deserve being abused. lily's inner narrative in the book is constantly justifying why ryle did what he did up until alyssa's husband tells her that he didnt even think abt hitting her when she cheated on him and thats how relationships should be. this made me feel so seen and made me sob with...relief? idk just this feeling of being like "oh my god i didnt deserve it." THIS MOVIE DOESNT EVEN HAVE THAT SCENE BRO. that actually made me incredibly angry because it showed the movie's true intentions: showing what a "strong victim" looks like. a woman who doesnt realize shes being abused and when she does, she leaves. it was insulting for this movie to parade itself as a movie about abuse and victims, when in reality its just a cutesy movie using abuse as a plot point to show how "strong" the main character is. also im sorry if this didnt make sense im still at the hospital and on lots of pain meds LOL
It's so wild to me that they managed to promote a story dealing with dv in such a way that many thought that it is a romcom TWICE
yeah that’s what i am saying!! i am shocked at the stupidity 😳
mygod your video’s title is just *chef’s kiss*
The only one that promoted it right was the lead actor/director!
