Between the Seventh Heaven and the IR in the stock unit, the stock unit had a tiny amount of extra highs in the early and late reflections, however it really isn't that big of a deal, great choice for those that don't have the money for an expensive plugin.
Great JOB!! Excellent! I really liked the Gold Clip during the free trial but was waiting for the price to be a bit more reasonable. This definitely could be a new series! I've been trying to recreate Avid's Lofi Plugin. I've tried everything, some plugins (Bit Crushers, Saturation etc) come close but not a score! When you start this new series, which based on the comments, you have to. Please help the tons of folk the have used Avid's LoFi Plugin, (the industry standard 0.1 setting being used by EVERYBODY for the magic on the low end) but don't work in ProTools regularly. 5 star Vid... Thank you!!!
interesting video. The gold function in Goldclip to me is more upwards compression than maximization. Maybe i am wrong but i always thought maximization as kind of a limiter. Hence teh Ozone one is called „Maximizer“. That said, the gold function is a lot similar sounding to the Ursa Boost „Focus“ slider
You’re right! The gold function in Goldclip does function like upward compression, enhancing quieter elements without squashing dynamics. It shares similarities with tools like Ozone’s Maximizer, but focuses more on balancing the mix rather than simply maximizing loudness. The comparison to Ursa Boost’s “Focus” slider makes sense, as both aim to enhance clarity and presence.
I've recently created an FL Studio patch based on the Kilohearts Transient Shaper to replace oeksound Spiff which costs several hundreds of euros)). IMO, mine's much simpler and easier to work with.
Ever since I got reaktor, I've never really needed any new plugins, (except some spectral/convolution plugins, still too much for my brain to try and recreate). Only downsides are the UI sucks, hard to connect nodes, lacks full documentation, etc. But, the simple fact you can use it on any DAW, makes it more valuable than M4L imo. You can create delay modules from scratch, using arrays as a buffer, or samplers with strange playback behavior. You can pretty much make anything. It also comes with several modules already made that'll do it all for you, don't necessarily have to understand programming. Have made some pretty cool things, a chroma recreation, other midi resonators, Objekt recreation, etc.
Sure! Maximization, when referring to gold clip, involves increasing the loudness of an audio signal while avoiding distortion, often using compression and limiting. The process ensures that the track reaches its maximum volume without clipping, enhancing its impact and clarity in the final mix.
Thank you!!!!do you know how to recreate with plugin the sound of the drums and guitar of the song "in my head" of the "lemon twigs"?is very 60', I tried a lot but it was imposible for me
I took a quick listen to this tune, which I enjoyed by the way. My guess is they recorded this to a tape machine. It's just got those vintage vibes about it.
Man, that sound you get with a linndrum. Isso like a MJ or The Weeknd 80s sound... Djinn drum is a free vst plugin, also you can try a little bit of tape sound too :)
Thank you!!!i have tried several method like tape plugins but i was no lucky, maybe is the drums? To me sound natural but really saturated and scooped, the guitars i don't know...
Freeclip 2 is great, better oversampling than Freeclip 1 and better than most commercial clippers. Most clippers when oversampling, peak over the ceiling.
This kinda stuff is the sauce. I’d love to hear about how more of these plugins work and how to recreate.
Thanks for watching, we will definitely consider a part 2!
Some of the best mixing and mastering content on rhe platform. This video was very useful. Ty
You're very welcome, appreciate your comment~!
Space designer is such a great stock reverb I love it. So much variability and nothing is too hard to find interface wise.

The reverb and saturation steps in this video have been the most helpful!
Glad to hear it!
Great idea for a video series.
👀
I agree, very helpful. Love to see a recreation of the God Particule, Spiff, Black box hm2 mid/side, and wavesfactory's Spectre😊
id love to see how the punish button in decapitator can be recreated with free plugins
Please continue these series. It is really mind opening!!!
The Seventh Heaven one was most surprising to me. I guess I didn’t realize you could just download the IR’s they used.
Great stuff here!

Great video!!!. Gsat+ is better than manyt of free and paid saturators on the market

To me it’s companding like the old Dolby and tape devices, compression and expansion, encoding and decoding

As my grandmother would say, if it doesn't Nulls, it's not the same.
Awesome as always.
Appreciate you checking out the video!
stunning plugin deconstruction!
Thanks for watching!

More videos like this!!!
where did you get your impulse responses?
I own all of the expensive plugins here. NOW you tell me!
Haha sorry! We need to coordinate for the next one 🤣
@@sageaudio please. Sheeeeesh.
Whats the compressor at the end?

You should do some videos like this for plugins that can run natively in Linux without Wine and Yabridge.
yo sage. could you explain what you mean by ‘maximization’ when referring to gold clip? what’s the process of it?
Sure! Maximization, when referring to gold clip, involves increasing the loudness of an audio signal while avoiding distortion, often using compression and limiting. The process ensures that the track reaches its maximum volume without clipping, enhancing its impact and clarity in the final mix.

Pourriez-vous nous donner le nom de la réverb en freeware car je ne vois pas ce que c’est. Merci à vous …
C'est juste le plugin stock dans Logic appelé "Space Designer"
Hi, can you review the plugin Refine by Ikjb
We'll look into this!
Freeclip is gooood
