    I just purchased a 1993 Plus 8. Since 50 years i dreamed of owning one. Two weeks ago my dream came true. I owned a lot more powerful cars, but they always invited me to drive fast, but now i needed a car who is of a special pure design and pure driving. I hope i will be as happy, as you are with your red one.

    Superb filming, narration and editing in every respect. Absolutely word perfect! You’re clearly passionate regarding this car and the utter enjoyment it provides you. Despite not doing many miles each year, just knowing it’s nestling outside under the duvet gives you a thrill. Really enjoyed the video, it’s sold me hook line and sinker on considering one for the future.

    Fantastic video!! Very thorough in detail. An absolutely beautiful example of a +8. Mine looked identical (back in '83). The only car that thrills me!!

    I purchased a 1962 +4 back in the early 70's. I loved it, including the ability to hand crank the engine as an option. The only really problem with it was that no matter how many mechanics I took it to no one could figure out how to keep it from overheating. Not even the suggestions from the factory in Malvern-Link could help. I was living in California at the time. Love your demonstration!

      New aluminum radiators with high volume electric fans properly retrofitted have pretty much solved this problem.

    This is a very nice Morgan! I used mine as an every day car for 15 years, even driving to Spain on a number of holidays, but as mine was a 1976 1600 Ford engined one it was a bit underpowered for such journeys, but driving a car every day really lets you get to know the quirks, I really enjoyed every minute of driving it, I hope you have many more miles of enjoyment from this wonderful car! So keep yours in the state it is. So will I with mine...

    Great video very informative. I went and looked at an older 3.7 really liked the look and yet to test drive BUT sitting in the car while it’s a lovely place the seat is meh err just too short to support one’s legs and found it quite disconcertingly lacking comfort …. Seat width fine and snug to hold one in place and back of seat head rest good but lack of thigh support but of a puzzle , just don’t know it I could get used to it …..I too am 6foot 1. Just wondering what to think

      You should try one of the later CX cars, from 2019 onwards. They're much more comfortable and have very supportive seats

    Enjoyed your video very much very informative although I am not lucky enough yo have a plus 8 I do have a wee 1994 4/4 in Connaught Green which I enjoy owning. Couldn't agree with you more about the pleasure I get in just looking at my car never mind driving it although I also have a 1953 MG TD which I must admit is quite a bit more comfortable. Always a dream to have one and it's def a keeper.

    • @Muchado856
      @Muchado856  9 หลายเดือนก่อน

      You have one of the best, classic colours in Connaught Green. The 4/4 is arguably a little more nimble than a Plus 8 too, due to lighter kerb weight, and a slightly narrower body. I've owned three MGs, and all rode better, and were much more comfortable than the Morgan. The Morgan is probably the least comfortable car I've ever owned......but that's also the point of it too.

      The colour is Corsa Red, which is a standard colour from the 1990s. I think the code is #590102, but you might want to check the code with a Morgan dealer. Hope this helps

    Enjoyed your video, well done. Been a Plus 8 fan since I was a teenage, now I am a retired old man in Florida and thinking about a Plus 8 again, prices right now are quite high, any advice?

    • @Muchado856
      @Muchado856  8 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Morgan prices tend to stay pretty solid, so whatever you have to pay, you're unlikely to lose. I'd try and find a US based dealer, or it may be worth speaking to Melvyn Rutter, here in the UK, as he deals internationally, so can probably give advice on some suitable specialists in the US. Their number is +44 1279 725725. Good luck!

      Rust, and the condition of the ash frame are paramount. Most engine/gearbox issues will be straightforward, and not too expensive to fix.

      This is a car like no other. Everyone will turn their head, look at it, like it, and want to talk to you. Police too! They will forget why they stopped you - and give you a pass. No one will scratch it because it of it's vintage looks. You will sell it for the same (if not more) than you paid for it - that's been the norm since the seventies. It's an easy car to repair, cheap to run, and fun to drive. Glues to the road. Disadvantages are; hard ride, not practical, side-curtains can get sucked outwards an inch at speed letting rain in on you if it's wet, visibility isn't great with the hood up, but if you have a another car, you can choose. You won't regret it and you don't have to be rich to own and enjoy one. It's as basic as you get. Follow the advice of the man in this video and you'll be right!

    Hi. Would you mind confirming which librands exhaust option you chose? Do you find it at all ‘boomy’ when cruising say 50/60 mph? Many thanks.

    • @Muchado856
      @Muchado856  7 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      The one on this car has custom manifolds, so it's not an 'off the shelf' Librands. It's not 'boomy' at all though. I did have an MGB with a 'cherry bomb' exhaust, and that was too boomy at speed. You should be fine with a standard Librands setup.

    To say modern Morgans are just BMWs, is like saying your car is a Rover. Morgan has never made its own engines or transmissions, and its close collaboration with BMW means that the B48 and B58 engines and transmissions are 'mapped' and set up especially for Morgan. Both 'Classic' and modern Morgans have their own characters, which might appeal to different buyers.

    Nice car. Aren’t you tempted to remove all the glittery clutter - the scaffolding on the tail, the aerial, the English flags, the mirrors, the wind deflectors, the bumpers - and leave the lovely lines cleaner and prettier?
