    12700k and 3080 here, i had no idea that the volumetric fog could be turned off. turning that off single-handedly fixed my frame time problems. Thanks !

    This updated guide is fantastic for Halo Infinite. I've also gone down the rabbit hole of Win10 DCP Latency, usb port OC, NIC processor and network optimization, CPU prioritization, DHCP and Exploit protection effects on input DELAY. All of which just allow the smoothest way to get Sniped by XLR8 in BTB. 😂😂😂.

    I was thinking of doing some netcode latency testing to show what is happening on each players screen in real-time. Good test would be what actually is happening when people “get shot around corners”. I believe I have a way to load up multiple games with some old server hardware on various ping levels for this.

    Fyi I am on an rtx 3080 playing on a 1440p240hz monitor. For me turning async compute ON gave me an additional 7fps. Went from 130 -> 137 on BTB custom game high power. I have a 5800x3D and 32gb of ddr43600 memory. Most of my game is at max settings atm which is why the fps might be lower than you expect

    It's actually better to use AMD's Radeon Image Sharpening in Radeon Software (if you have an AMD GPU) instead of the in-game sharpening. RIS has been shown many times to be superior to traditional TAA sharpening implementations (which is what Halo Infinite uses). At 1080p, 80% is pretty good (for TAA) but up to everyone's preference. For Nvidia, I believe in the nvidia control panel there is also a image sharpening setting that is also better than TAA sharpening.

    • @XLR8_LIVE
      @XLR8_LIVE  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I thought about this a lot when making this video, but realistically I opted to recommend the in-game slider, since it’s much easier for people to find, and contained inside the game itself and applies to any kind of computer build

    Someone help me. I get around 135-165 frames on 1440p. My monitor is 165 hz and my PC is not the absolute best, but still relatively high end.
    It’s not the frames that bother me, but there is something that is wrong with either the game or my settings. Even though it is good FPS, the game looks sluggish at times (despite not dropping FPS). This ESPECIALLY happens on Live Fire, where the game just doesn’t look smooth, almost as though the frame time is all out of whack? Everything just looks stuttery and slightly choppy. Many people probably wouldn’t notice but I certainly do. It looks like 50 FPS, not 165. But there is no noticeable input lag increase, it’s all visual. • @IndyMiraaga
      @IndyMiraaga ปีที่แล้ว +1

      With Minecraft you'll want to use mods like Optifine or Sodium to boost your FPS, the base game is insanely unoptimized. Halo Infinite should be fine as long as you don't run everything at Ultra, your CPU will likely be your limiting factor so it would be best to just find a frame rate you are comfortable with and adjust settings accordingly. Sadly Infinite has no built-in benchmark so campaign gameplay will be the best stress test while maybe bot bootcamp would work for multiplayer?

    Is it okay to unlock your maximum frame rate, will it damage the gpu at all? I have a 4070ti with an i9 13900k processor, I unlocked the max frame rate on infinite and it hit over 420 fps. My friend said nvidia came out with an article on if you unlock your fps and allow the gpu to run to its full potential you’ll get rig of any input lag and the game experience will be astounding. I need some feedback on this. I’m also on an Alienware 360hz refresh rate monitor

    • @XLR8_LIVE
      @XLR8_LIVE  ปีที่แล้ว +3

      Running unlocked will not damage any parts, however they will get much warmer, so make sure you have ample cooling components.
      Also that input delay part is not true. You will have much less delay with a cap than if you run unlocked, as you’re reducing stress on both the CPU and GPU. For a 13900k/4070ti setup, I recommend a 240hz cap game wide. BTB you might have some struggles for headroom, or to even hold 240 in a small amount of situations, but you’ll be all good in arena

    I don't know what is wrong with this game, but no matter the settings, it always changes the models to the ugliest on the planet (not low poly, but some kind of abomination made by AI or engine or whatever), in the middle of a shot - like you running and the floor changes under your feet, your gun looks thousand times worse that Halo 1 released more than 20 y ago, i'm not overreacting, it's true. And it takes like 18 minutes (!!!) to get into the main menu, even though the game is installed on SSD. I even changed them - installed on M2 and regular, and switched back and forth, but it looks and behaves TERRIBLY. Literally THE WORST experience ever, because no matter what you do, you can't fix it or find a sweet spot in the settings. Even Quake Champions never gave so much problems on its most broken maps. If That is The Best XBox title ever - than i don't regret i never owned a console, because this is beyond bad.
    My PC:
    Radeon RX 5500 XT 4 Gb
    Ryzen 3500 6/6
    16 Gb RAM

      I’m pretty sure that GPU is under spec, so the game might be forcing some unconventional low texture meshes close up (if I’m understanding what you’re saying) I’ve seen two people with small pascal cards have the same issue. Pretty sure it’s a bug
