Segway Ninebot Max vs Unagi Model One

- I purchased a Segway Ninebot Max and a Unagi Model One E500 and wanted to do a side-by-side comparison of the two. They both are very good e-scooters and have their pros-and-cons. It was tough to determine which is "best", but there are definite differences in the two. If you have either of thee scooters or a comparable model, please leave your comments below. just the video i was looking for, as i'm torn between these 2 e scooters! great comparison. i actually just went to the unagi store in nyc yesterday to take a look and have a feel of what it would be like to carry around in my hand. although, it is much lighter than the segway, it's still not light enough to carry around comfortably. therefore, the sacrifices that the unagi makes for portability doesn't really seem worth it to me and i'm probably just going to go with the ninebot.
I’m pretty sure the Unagi is less than 31 pounds and has the most center of gravity, portability doesn’t really matter to me since I’d probably just ride the scooter lol.

I had the Segway f25 and returned it due to having to do the walk of shame on day one. I then got the Unagi E500 and I loved its unlocked power, the battery (dies on me right before my neighborhood) was the only reason im exchanging it with Segway Max. I have yet to try the Max since I just got it.
I understand going through several to find the best one for what you need it for. The range on the Ninebot Max that I have IS better than the Unagi E500. Enjoy and travel safe!

@@lonesn1per did it come with a gen 2 motor? You can tell cause the first number on the motor wheel will start with a 6 or a 9. 6 is first gen, 9 is second gen, I'm asking cause I wanna buy but want 2nd gen

Thank you for your video, useful information, Segway has bigger wheel 10" will give you better ride and more safety beside Segway solid and stronger.
I got the ninebot max and I'm glad I did it was the $1400 and I recommend to future buyers
I hope it came with some things. It shouldn't be more then like 900 dollars. I got a ninebot max G30 for 879.99 on Amazon in a day and half shipping.
Had Unagi subscription in NYC, however returned it. Ride leaves little to be desired with regards to comfortability.

🔴 I have both of those and I agree that the Ninebot is better because of the ride. But Unagi did have great customer service. I needed a charger and I called. Haven't had any issues with either ones. I like the Ninebot charger cable a whole lot more.

I don't like the look or narrow foot area of the Unagi and would only lease it as a beginner to decide if I want to buy a scooter or not of ANY brand 🤔
Unagi is light but you pay a physical price due to the hard suspension.
Glad you did this review but the everything including handlebars on the Segway g30lp are shorter and smaller than the g30p and 👎 for tall riders.

What if Unagi slapped 10" pneumatic tires on the model two 👀
That would definitely make a difference in how rough the ride would be. Pneumatic tires and the composite body would make for a smoother ride.
Idk what ninebot max you have but in Australia it has 40 miles of Randy’s not 20?
I wouldn't say they are in the say they are in the same price range if the segway is $350 less. Also he never mentioned the segways modes or app. I'm 185lbs and the segway has plenty of power especially in sport mode.
Thank you and yes, I just talked about the basics of the scooter and the Segway DOES have a leg-up n the Unagi as far as application controls. The Segway does allow for customizing via the smartphone application and it also has GPS, mapping, time, mileage, and other measurements/settings that the Unagi does not. I am 205 and the Segway does have good power for my height and weight. Thank you for watching!
So the Segway is a pickup truck while the Unagi is the Tesla ? I know the Segway is good but that look... its just straight out of the 90's scooter look. Maybe a mix of these two would be the best.
Great analogy! The Segway is a durable and VERY solid, great performer. The Unagi is sleek and pleasing. The composite construction makes it slimline and lighter weight, but not as comfortable. Appreciate the comment!
Ill take the communicability of Unagi over 9Bot just to avoid the walk of shame.
The Unagi 500E does not include a carry case when purchased in Australia. I need one of those because in our Kmart or BigW, similar stores to Walmart, where I can scooter too I have to put it into shopping trolley. I find it tedious having to try and place it in and buffer edges to not get it scratched up. I love my E-scooter it's just lightweight enough, easily gets up the hills I need to ride on, no tyre punctures worth it trade off for occasional bit of bumpy ride I change my choice of pavement for best run. So easy to use the Unagi 500E and its slimline unobtrusive look makes it no problem to take it into just about any businesses or shops. Can someone please tell me where can I really buy the case for it, or any satchell it will fit into, I have looked everywhere online?
Thank you for your comment. I do not have the box or manual anymore so unsure if this was a deluxe-package or not. I did get a heavy-duty carry case for the Segway from Amazon, it is a generic bag for scooters up to a certain size and was not expensive. I hope you are able to locate a carry bag.

Charlie, the Unagi is a sleek rig and has great low-end power with the dual motors, but the comfort of the Segway is superior.
I just got the unagi single motor for $500. It’s my first scooter. Loving it so far.

@@asgoodasitgets1 they upgraded to 350w it has a good kick to it. I’m getting about 9 miles which is enough for my daily commute and is very fun.
Smaller tires are better for scooters!

If you watched the video you will find out he is comparing it for those that shop at Costco so those are the only 2 options.
That's costco price, the Segway sells for $800 in other stores.
Unagi E500 is $589 on Amazon, so its a cheaper alternative.
