Thanks so much guys. The hike was by far the highlight of our time on Fraser. 3 days and we didn't even hear another vehicle. You go through so many places not accessible by car.
Awesome as always. I'm glad you had a chance to meet up with Dan and Katie from @TheRoadChoseMe. Both channels always have incredible content and have been following both for years.
Absolutely loved Fraser Island, spent a few weeks there back in 92 camping out of my 76 Nissan patrol. Will always remember Australia as the best place I ever visited do in part to that side trip!! Can't wait to return some day soon!
Visited Fraser many years ago and loved it. Haven't watched in a while, glad to see you all still out there having adventures and producing amazing content.
Absolutely fantastic. It's great to see the Landrover in the jungle. Beautiful area. And Steph: Absolutely great video you made, on very high level - once again!!
Fantastic photography and very interesting insight into our famous Fraser Island. We enjoyed sharing part of the experience with you as well. Well done guys ❤️🥰😍
🛩Great to see you both having an adventure on Fraser Island🏖. Stephy we were very impressed with your driving skills.👍 The weather looked gorgeous. Glad you got to do another walk. ❤️🇦🇺🦘
Wow Australia sure has been amazing . Loved this video on Fraser Island so beautiful . Thanks again for sharing your wonderful travel memories with us your over-landing friends . Cheers from Steve Stott in Sutherlin Oregon U.S.A. :):)🍻👍🏼
Great Video again. Thanks for that. Really interesting though. Only that it hurts a bit to see the Landrover in touch with saltwater, but i imagine its fun to drive there, but as you said: I would do it as well. Cheers
As an American i had never heard of Bush Tucker Man and had just stumpled across his videos, talk about gold! Epic defenders and true off road camping, just amazing!
It is an absolutely epic place. Did it 5 years ago, scheduled to do it again later this year but after a trip through the centre with crazy diesel prices, we'll wait a bit. Nice to see some of the familiar spots, and looking forward to seeing next episode. Lake Mackenzie is incredible.
Once again a great video, we have been watching your videos for almost 3 years now. It's great that you made it to Australia. You have inspired us to embark on adventures too. We are now traveling in South America with our Defender.
We have indeed done that but many years ago. We were travelling Western Australia 12 years ago in our Toyota. We went for a beach drive in Broome and didn't think about the tides. We tried to return to our camp and could not reach it due to the tide. We had to wait 6 hours until we could pass the rocky outcrop and reach our camp 😉
That landrover is an ex ADF Perentie. They are outfitted with bigger axles, tranfercase and an Isuzu diesel engine amongst other interesting things such as a galvanised chassis.
Very nice video!! Would have liked to see more of you and Dan chatting it out! Also because we didn't get a video last week!, are there going to be two this week?
Awesome video as always, love watching your adventures. Have you guys thought about a book of your travels? Maybe Europe and Asia and then Australia ? I reckon it would make a bloody good read 🤞🏼😎👌🏼
We certainly have thought about writing a book. Maybe one day we'll do it but I think I'd like to stay in one place for an extended period to focus on that endeavour.
@GrizzlyNbear Overland Hi do you recommend land rover defenders as great vehicles for long travels? Wouldn't it be better to use a another type of vehicle like Toyota Prado? I am asking since I also like to buy a defender but I feel it might need lot of maintenance more than other vehicles, and how is the comfort inside your vehicle during long travels?
It's a long way from France but we did it in our French Defender. Anything is possible and we hope one day you drive your ranger on Fraser Island. You can also rent 4wd for Fraser 😉
Regarding the Inox, try Lanox which is their lanolin based version. It leaves a thicker much longer lasting film. Lanotec heavy duty is another good product .
Not immediately it's not that urgent but I'll do it at the first opportunity once we've left the coastal area. Our first stop after leaving Fraser Island was a car wash. I get right under the car with the pressure washer trying not to miss any areas. Then I'll use a regular pressure hose to flush the chassis.
@@GrizzlyNbearOverland Just a tip from some one who has been going there for a little over 50 years, I've found it best, not to use pressure when washing a vehicle that has been on a beach, it will only push the sand and salt into bushings and other places you don't want it. If you can get a rose style garden sprinkler and start with it under the front of the vehicle and every 5 minutes move it back about 300mm ( 1 foot ). Then flush the chassis with a high volume hose.
Looks like Frenchy is at the top of the curve.....or maybe its because the inlaws arent around!!.....time for Mr teeth to cut loose from the bonds.Must be difficult for Frenchy.....
Was there winter '91 alone with a little Subaru wagon, had the best camps 3 days beach, 3 days inland. Almost 25 years later I did Inskip and Kgari alone again, with a bigger Subaru and fat tyre Ebike, now that made it so good.🏖🛴🏕 It is the most special place, 2nd is Eungella, west of Mackay. Get out and go camping.
Awesome video guys! Can't wait to go back to Fraser again. Looking forward to watching your hike video, that's a cool idea!

I've been hanging out to this this video. You did the place proud.

Very nice place. Be safe.
I LOVE YOUR WORK ON FRASER ISLAND. i been to Fraser island in my Pajero. before the stroke
One of the best places in Aust, one of my fist trips back in 1995 was here, our kids still talk about it.
Two of my favorite overlanders G&B and Dan and Katie!

Meet up with Dan and Kate at Lucinda. A few weeks ago. Had dinner with them and a good chat. What a great couple.
They're awesome and we wish we could have hung out for longer.
fantastic!
Очень классное виде! Настоящее кино, причем документальное!!! Хорошо что есть переводчик в титрах!

All the best in your travels! It’s fantastic
Was wondering if you guys would ever get to Fraser
nice trip..
Great one guys, have you ever gotten the tides wrong and not made it back to bear or at any time not being able to get back to camp.
We have indeed done that but many years ago.

Leigh est un très bon conducteur de 4x4, toujours tout en douceur et ça passe....
J'ai tellement aimer Frazer quand j'y suis aller en 2011 wow good memories

Unfortunately we couldn't spend more time with Dan.
Only one video, Stephy needs a break sometimes 😉
Inox is good stuff, but I now prefer CorrosionX. Seems to last longer and not as sticky.

I've been to Fraiser, but unfortunately didn't drive, regretted it ever since!!
Great vid guys. Where do you keep the legs for your camper when you travel?
In the drawer under the camper (custom made to clear the height of the defender s cab)

I share your salt anxiety! Not sure how much water was used under my Disco when I got home from Fraser but it was a lot.
Oh man, its so nice. My Dream is, drive on Fraser Island with my Ford Ranger to.....but its a long Way from Germany.🙈 LG, Alfred

Do you flush the chassis of the car immediate with water of your reserve, or do you wait for the next citywater tap. Amazing pictures as always! 🌴😎

asking about the ending where you are driving on top of the dune, you do know driving on that part is illegal?
That’s the entrance of an official campground that we booked online and paid for. The high tide made the trail disappear.
How do you maintain your monthly expenses and how you look after your parents?
nice video
Mozzie? I didn’t see a mozzie! 😂😂
😂😂😂
Yay!
11:51 leaked the next destination? 👀
Not overated. Theres is no better offroad destination with as much things to do and see.
Absolutely agree! 😉
Why don't you engage the 4x4 even when the sand does't need it. J'aime beaucoup vos vidéos. Merci
When you have your diff engaged you will use significantly more fuel so we save it where we can 😉
@@GrizzlyNbearOverland Merci, je n'avais pas pensé à cela

How much the ferry??500.00 aud.???
$130 return
This island is truly paradise. But the sea water will makes your chassis and suspension rusty soon. Cross deep water several times ASAP.
The point is to get away so that we can return to our family and friends for a drink
I would like to be there with you :(

Absolutely! 🏝️😉

Pardon me, ultimate 4x4 destination? I nominate the two Hilux pickups the BBC “Top Gear” hosts drove to the North Pole.
Oi it’s Fraser Island always will be
...not first
First..
That place is definitely overrated, there's nothing special to see..
