So I just recently discovered your band SepticFlesh about a year ago, and to see their drummer covering on of my favorite bands floors me! Awesome job Krimh🤘🏻
What's cool about this is that those relatively 'easy' (too listen to) rhythms with a few melodic elements dancing on the grooves are on itself not that interesting. What makes Devin's songwriting so good is that through repetition and revisitation these rhythms almost become somewhat primal and cathartic. Dropping in mid song doesn't do the trick, but listening through it from the beginning and hearing those rhythmical build ups makes it a very rewarding musical experience. Like the way 5:00 you'd expect it to go to the next section but it just keeps running on that super tight beat.
Between Devin's stuff & Meshuggah's....its a complicated relationship for the ears....it all basically sounds like a killer track thats skipping on a CD
