I strongly accept Hector is telling the truth. I lived in Guadalajara as an expatriate "Gringo" from 1980 to 1984. ["Kiki" was murdered in 1985, after I left.] I can speak, read and write fluently in Spanish. While living in Guadalajara I had to learn how to "bribe" police and government officials. I paid government officials for "fake" visas to stay in the country as well as bribing for other purposes. It is a way things are done in Mexico. NO KIDDING.
Hector is an American hero. I real hero. He tried to protect us all. Thank you, Hector.

Think about being black during that era not only did you have to deal with the fall out coming home from fighting in the Vietnam war but you also had to deal with fighting for equal an Civil rights an the right to vote in this country also at the same time.

Except nobody has been able to find any example of soldiers being spit on when they returned. And which soldier would actually let that happen in the first place?

Did you have someone who came back from Veit Nam? Maybe brought a wife and child back? I wasn’t blind. I saw what I saw not what politicians told me. I saw pictures brought back in and o light PTSD before it had been known.soldiers from Vietnam were not treated well. They screamed baby unalivers to them. It was the damn draft. You had no choice. 18 your number came up. You went. Maybe that soldier is still not home.@@Chancho_Villa

You are a true hero, partner. Respect.
Unfortunately most of the drug agents know nothing(and we don't care) about politics and stuff.
It's the same worldwide, we just chase our tail. The motivation is the action, the adrenaline and being a part of this fascinating underworld. It's not about the common good (sad but true). You've learnt it the hard way, but we now know what to do and what not, how far we should get and what's the price, BECAUSE OF YOU and a few other "old" heroes out there. Cheers mate
