- This video shows 6 different series of Stagg crash cymbals. In each series i demo the 16" and 18" models in one (the most common) weight.
The Hi Hats throughout the demonstration are the Stagg SENSA series 14" Medium hats. The drum kit is my beautiful Mapex Black panther Black Widow drum kit with the Black panther "panther" snare drum, all with Remo drum heads
This video and the music within it are owned by me and cannot be used without my permission.
Love the classic series crashes
They're definitely one of my favourites too. Very well balanced tone.
thanks for this demo, really helpfull. Love the new Sensa . . . reminds me of my Zildjian's
No problem! More demos coming soon. Thanks for watching!
The VB's sound better than expected, a lot like Meinl's thinner Dark Crashes. Nice demo and tasteful playing!
James, thank you so much for this. You can't believe how helpful it is! I'm after some jazzy cymbals and may try the VB range.
I have a 19" VB Medium Ride and I love it! I think it sounds awesome, like a slightly brighter/less dry Sabian Fierce Ride (which is cool with me as I'm a big Jojo fan). It can definitely work for straight-ahead jazz (especially sounds good for jazz with a sizzler chain added), but I've personally found my particular VB to work best (for me anyway) in blues, classic rock, funk, breakbeat/electronic and progressive rock music... it is a pretty versatile cymbal, definitely one I enjoy playing and would recommend to others.
You're definitely selling the fuck out of these cymbals... I'm a gear snob but these demos got me convinced. I'm gonna get a whole fleet of 5 crashes cause of your videos so I hope they're throwing you a bone.
they all sound great!
Classic and VB... I wish knew of stagg sooner
Hey man your demo are amazing man already got my STAGG cymbal set on order thanks to you man cheers ! But can you do a review of the 19 sh china pleeeeaze
I'm warming up to those VB's the look of them are nice :)
hey what snare do you use in this recording? sounds good .sorry if iam wrong focus hahahah
the new stagg sensa was too bright for me. Hope that stagg creates more cymbal with dark warm w/ full of body. They already have a lot of bright cymbals

What snare and heads are you using for this mix?
This was a Remo powerstroke 3 coated
Classic series and dh exo.
What is the snare head youre using in this vid?
REMO Coated Powerstroke 3 with clear top dot
Wish the cymbals were mic'd better than the drums... would like to have been able to "feel" the explosive crashes.
Whats this new Sensa line?
The SENSA series is Stagg's brand new line of B20 cymbals. They were made to be bright, but warm and musical. They're absolutely stunning and priced very affordably. The line consists of hats, ride, crash and splash cymbals, as well as the new sizzle china and sizzle stacks. The full official promo demo showing the whole set can be found in my videos on youtube. Thanks for watching!

@@James-Chapman-Drums what is the better stagg line?
Dh crashes are great but they broke easily.
I dont think so, my DH crashes are still not broken :D
Not mine...I only broke Stagg cymbals in my life despite I just love them.
No body, too weak in sound.
