I gotta tell ya, there are times when I get discouraged with being a Ryu main that I feel like the struggle isn't worth it. But then I see high level gameplay like this and I'm like "nope. Time to hit the lab again."
Wait, why not? He is B tier. He isn't the worst, nor the best. But tiers don't matter much in the low to mid ranks, so why bother that much? Ryu is probably one of the best ways to learn the fundamentals next to Ken.
JP's theme destroys the rest of the music in this game. It's so good it's distracting and makes the rest of the music sound like elevator noise. Also this JP fight, heh, 65K. Edit: Yeah actually it's not that great either, still the best track I know of in the game, but it's an artificial vibe created by poor contrast and a false association. (Super annoying that I can't link to a comment in a comment.)
@@thebeluvdtrex I gave that a full listen, the music is well made but it just triggers next to no feeling in me. That one is too airy and light and happy for a fight song imo. But ymmv :)
JP's theme to me sounds like Chinese mobile game boss music that plays right as you hit the paywall. Repetitive and obvious. So many better themes in the game.
You don’t need to know a bunch of advanced tech to get good at the game. Especially with a character like ryu that rewards fundies. Simplicity is effective
