Have been on 10 casino cruises, all we pay is port fees& taxes..aprx $300 pp . we receive a postcard w several sailings we choose up to 3..based on availability they choose & call u to book.. & we were able to upgrade on the bids.. doing celeb silhouette end of month freebee😊 Love blue chip !
My wife and I seem to be similar to the two of you. We only started sailing about 8 years ago. Now as we are in our 60's we are cruising about 8 times a year. We primarily go on Celebrity and we love the new program. Not only do you get the certificates (as you mentioned in this video) the blue chip sends out offers to us about 2 or 3 time each month for free cruises. We are both amethist (gamble not lose $25k per year). We are planning for retirement where we can go on a number of cruises in a row. I knew everything on your video but you explained it very well. I saw some of your other videos and the two of you do a great job explaining things. At this point we only sail celebrity and royal caribbean because we like the perks now that we are Elite. Thanks for posting.
Hopefully they make good on the cruises. My son won a free cruise this summer playing the deal or no deal game show on board. They gave a whole bunch of 2023 cruises to choose from but they all seemed to be booked to max when we tried to select one. They assured us the trip is good for a year and that 2024 dates would be out by Sept. But they weren’t, then they said Nov… nope, and here we are in Dec. and they still have’nt released the 2024 potential cruises yet. Time for us to call them again, fingers are crossed.
Thanks for this video! We're on Ascent for 2 weeks in January, and weren't planning on gambling because over the years their rewards system has frustrated us. This is a game changer, I will happily bring our casino budget , have fun and get a cruise out of it. For those commenting on the cost or who don't gamble, that's cool for you. But my husband and I gamble, land and sea, and this video gave me great info and another good option for my casino vacations.
exactly the same as Royal, paid for my 1st cruise on Wonder and the next 4 (so far) have been casino comped…tip: get in the the credit card points game and get free flights and hotels - now I just need more vacation days!
I've lived in a casino hotel once because they didn't me to leave. I'm good at slots and poker! This is great for me. Love this new program. See you on the ship very soon!
Great question! All points have to be in one single cruise sailing. There are Tier Programs for cumulative point totals as well with benefits attached but we hear those will be revamped at the beginning of the year. ☺️
This is good information. We do gamble a bit when onboard but never knew there were discounts and extra perks prior to this you tube video. We are on the Mardi Gras cruise in February and will pay attention to the casino benefits. Nice presentation!
No only one person gets the free cruise for that amount spent, it’s all about getting you to spend more money by getting you on another cruise. What wasn’t mentioned is that the odds at a cruise ship casino are worse than on land, wbere if they give you a free room you don't have to pay extra for your spouse to stay with you
Thanks for this video. My wife and I have been cruising for almost 10 years and have only stepped into a casino to get to another part of the ship lol. Friends are telling us we're missing out on free cruises so how does one get into this deal? Do you take cash to seed your set sail card? Do the other cruise lines, like princess, post the rewards schedule like you just showed for Celebrity? We're sailing on our very first Princess cruise in May so we thought we'd start down this journey. Thanks for your help.
Is this x 5 of what the machine shows or like Royal, it was what the machine tallied for the cruise? Tx wonder if they still offer monthly cruises too?
How long did you have to play for to make this work for you. I know it’s variable but slots are a mathematical win/loss percentage. Curious how many hours.
Sailing on APEX in May for 13 day transatlantic Cruise. Will definitely spend some time in the casino. 1500 points would be $7500 like you said if it were just straight points per $5. How much cash did you actually have to put in to accumulate the 1500 points as you played?
Yes, I was also interested to know approx how much you had to spend in the casino or how long you had to play to get to 1500 points? Also, are you able to pay to upgrade to another cabin type when you win a trip? I am booked on a 18 day Celebrity cruise in October.
Great video. Glad to hear Celebrity is catching up. Do you know what point level gets you free drinks in the casino? I get free drinks in the casino on Royal at 2500 points and free drinks anywhere on Carnival.
So, it has been that you get free classic drinks while playing in the casino at any status level. We have heard rumors that this is going away. We still had it on Celebrity Ascent last month, but heard others didn’t on some ships.
I get my 2 cruises from my casino every year. I paid the port charge and the sale tax. I try to used it with the future cruise I paid on the ship. I could not combine. The free cruises is very limited. It is a great deal if you find a perfect fit. Ship and sailing.
Yeyaaa Baybee ! Love it! Im booked on APEX 7 nts already in April- but in Feb Im on EQUINOX 10 nights! Wish That program would be in effect aboard EQ! (But both sailings Are already casino Offers I used! ) Winnner Winner ! Maybe We will all be on same ship before long! MISS you 2 !!🥰
About how much did you spend out of pocket to get the 1,500 points? $7500 in the machine seems like a lot, so I’m just wondering if you spent close to $7500? I’m trying to see if it will be cheaper than booking a cruise outright. Thank you!
That's to personal a question to ask how much someone has chose to gamble. Besides it wouldn't help as it's all RNG on the machines so would likely be vastly different amounts each time
He answered elsewhere - he only lost a few hundred dollars. For slots, the amount wagered gets recycled so the same dollars get counted more than once - assuming you win, keep going, win again, keep going, etc.
not a gambler, so not really invested in this. they know they will get more profit than loss from this program, so to do something that you would normally not do, I feel wouldn't be prudent financially. But great news for people who enjoy that thing. I only gamble in my 401K LOL.
I definitely don't have that kind of money to gamble with but if I did I would absolutely take that cash and try to get a free cruise. I am a disabled RN and the government disability payments are a joke. When is your next group cruise on the Apex in March and are you already totally booked?
We have been on 3 blue chip free cruises in the last year. I thought it would be much harder to get free cruise offers now since the ships are full. We played in the casino some, but we didn't accrue many points. We play tables, mainly blackjack, and usually $10 minimum, although we played at the $25 minimum for a couple of hours one night. We usually play for 2-3 hours, depending on how much we lose, lol. So I don't understand why we got so few points? Do you have any info on the old vs. new point system for tables?
I may have to look into this. However, I am not cruising on those two ships anytime soon...hope they will be available on other ships soon. I did notice on the cruise I left yesterday, there were a lot more people playing in the casino this cruise. I do know Celebrity is trying to attract younger people who spend more money than us seniors...LOL
We lost a few hundred dollars (nowhere near the cost of the cruise) but of course it’s gambling so some will walk away better off and others will walk away losing more. 🎲 Yes, taxes and port fees are always needing to be paid.☺️
Yes, the ones that get you certificates for comp cruises expire after each cruise. The tier points expire at the end of the casino calendar year which has been extended again until June 2024.
Not a gambler but great info. How much did you actually spend to earn the 1500 points? I think this new program is great if you already plan on gambling.
Completely depends on the cards dealt/slots played (pun intended) as we’ve both walked away from the casino up and with a complimentary cruise as well as down with a complimentary cruise. Definitely best to play for fun with your card tracking the points and if you get a complimentary cruise, you get a complimentary cruise with some fun evenings of playing! 🎰🥳
You do call the casino phone line when you get home (could take up to a week for the points/certificate to load). Remember, you receive an instant cruise certificate onboard sent to your stateroom that has all of this information on the certificate as well. All of the information in this video is accurate as we just did this on our sailing. 😊
The video would be much better if you told us exactly how much money you lost in order to get the free cruise and compare them. We Like your videos normally but this is a no-brainer . Instead this video looks more like a marketing video for the casino.
I don't gamble but it can't be apply to everyone for the exact cost. It depends on how much you win also and use the winning to continue playing. But JJ did say they lost a few hundreds dollars to earn it.
Spend $7,500 to get the 1,500 BUT not LOSE $7,500… you always win a percentage back (sometimes more than you spend) but for us we only lost a few hundred and got a $2k cruise!
Hey! Looks like you might not have cruised Celebrity before… there is no smoking in the casino, and we spent a few hundred dollars and earned a $2k cruise. Completely fine if you don’t gamble, but please note that there are plenty who do look forward to the entertainment of gambling while on vacation (and are interested in rewards programs such as this). ☺️
@@JJCruiseok now no smoking is a game changer! Although highly doubt you spent a few hundred (like $200) and got a free $6k cruise. Plus you still have to pay gratuities, taxes and port fees so not really free at all. Most people also have to fly and stay in hotels night prior so not really as good of a deal as this seems to be...
From playing on land based casinos, which also offer similar promotions, the bang for your buck on cruise ships seems to be much higher. Now the machines may be tighter, or they may not be as generous with free play (or are they?) but $7,500 coin in requirement is very reasonable. Basically, if the slot machine percentage hold is set at 10% (the amount the casino keeps over time), then you are paying $750 for each of your free cruises. But since there is a lot of variance from one gambler to another in regard to outcomes, some will pay (lose) quite a bit more and some will pay quite a bit less. But the average is still $750.00. The slot percentage could also be higher or lower. If you are going to gamble anyway, it’s a good deal. If you do not gamble, don’t start and don’t get tempted by these offers.

Thanks for this video! You motivated both me and my wife to spend a little more time in the Casino on the Ascent to get our free cruises! 😀

I’m going to Japan for 10 nights on Princess for port fees and taxes with $400 freeplay and I haven’t sailed on them since 2014 🎉🎉
I've lived in a casino hotel once because they didn't me to leave. I'm good at slots and poker! This is great for me. Love this new program. See you on the ship very soon!
I just got off the Eclipse yesterday and they had the points listed for comps. It mirrors Royal Caribbean’s club royale 😊
Awesome! Will be on the APEX in April. Question, do you have to accrue the 1,500 points in a single cruise or cumulative throughout the year?
Great question! All points have to be in one single cruise sailing.
There are Tier Programs for cumulative point totals as well with benefits attached but we hear those will be revamped at the beginning of the year. ☺️
Great info. I used to play Black Jack back in the 90s on cruises. But haven't play in the casino since. This might get me back into the Casino :)
This is good information. We do gamble a bit when onboard but never knew there were discounts and extra perks prior to this you tube video. We are on the Mardi Gras cruise in February and will pay attention to the casino benefits. Nice presentation!
and I never knew about calling the blue chip department post cruise.
Thanks for watching and commenting your thoughts! We are so glad we helped you out as we know it’s not common knowledge for all cruisers! ☺️
Thanks for the info.
So the free interior cabin is for 2 passengers?
Just wondering how much and how long in the casino to get 1500 points?

We were able to get a Veranda 4 day cruise in January doing this for port fees and taxes only
Congratulations and thanks so much for sharing.

I have not yet but i might

It’s always good to know the casino usually wins. 😉

Congrats! How many hours did it take to earn 1500 points? And did u bet the max on most machines?
For us, we vary our bet but mostly minimum bets which does take longer.
We successfully achieved 1,500 points with a few hours each night. 😊
They already do all of this in Royal Caribbean
How much did you lose in the casino to get the “free@ cruise. No one wants to talk about that. You still pay port charges and taxes correct?
We lost a few hundred dollars (nowhere near the cost of the cruise) but of course it’s gambling so some will walk away better off and others will walk away losing more. 🎲
Yes, taxes and port fees are always needing to be paid.☺️
Do points expire?
Yes, the ones that get you certificates for comp cruises expire after each cruise. The tier points expire at the end of the casino calendar year which has been extended again until June 2024.
This sounds like Royal’s slot program to a large extent
It is similar but unique in some great ways!
Great program if you are a gambler, however, I get no joy in gambling, never ever go to casinos!
Not a gambler but great info. How much did you actually spend to earn the 1500 points? I think this new program is great if you already plan on gambling.

So if I got this right, you had to spend $7500 in the casino to get to the 1500 pts? Is that correct?
