I got done clearing the wall of fame. Game is actually easy once you master the parry. Literally everything can be parried and jam combos break enemy and boss mechanics entirely

Currently about halfway thru this game. Its actually a really good game and caught me by surprise. Timeless artstyle, cool characters and awesome gameplay in so many avenues. I hope he continues playing

If he was confused with the keys Hogwarts Legacy used, he's gonna have a hard time with this game later. I wish I had used a controller from the start but it was too late by then, I learned to manage though.

if you gon play it, dont do what asmon did and skim past tutorial. entire world on a beat, health gauge, score gauge, screens, sewer cowers, neon strips and so on. all of those are there to help you see the beat and time your actions with edit: Chai idle animation on a beat too, he lifts left arm(beat) then snaps his fingers(beat). pay attention folk and you will nail that groove

There is no 360* stick move inputs here. Playing on KB+M or Gamepad is just pressing buttons in both cases and a case of preference and what you are more used to (heck, I actually like activating Specials with one R button press instead of double L+R stick press)
I personally find this game VERY difficult even on Normal. The combination if needing to read enemy patterns, memorize combos, and pay close attention to the song to do EVERYTHING on beat really just melts my brain and it feels like I can never get comfortable with the controls or combat. I'm a music producer/vocalist, so rhythm isn't an issue generally, and I love highly challenging action games like DMC & Sekiro, but for some reason this game absolutely kicks my ass lol
First playthrough i just found a few combos that I was better at and then I kinda stuck with them for a while because I knew I could do them. Also, put your TV on "game" picture setting to reduce latency and turn down the sound effects so you can hear the music (and thus the beat) easier. Also calling in partners on beat hits makes things a lot easier.
I thought that if I as someone with no rhythm managed to play the game, everyone could play it as well. After watching this, it turns out that's not the case
i am glad he tried the game but honestly this game doesn't seem like an asmon game since this game isn't really something you can just unga bunga brute force by ignoring the rythm. Especially since there are some parts where you can't ignore the rythm aspect of the game
