I have a 2015 cbr300r and this helped me so much. Also I found that almost all of the bolts are different so it helps to take a piece of blank paper and draw a rough sketch of each fairing and were the bolts go and place the bolts on the paper in their spots to remember. It worked well for me and made putting it back on super easy.
I’m loving these videos! I just bought a brand new 2017 for 2,995! It’s my first street bike. I just changed the oil at 300 miles. The manual says 600 but it was really dirty. Instead of taking the cowl apart to access the oil filter, I drilled a 3” hole in the plastic 👌 I also switched to K&N oil filter and air filter. I’m thinking about changing it again in another 300 miles just to be sure the majority of the metal pieces are gone. I plan to do all my own maintenance like you. Your videos are going to be a life saver!
I've read in a couple places that CBR300 owners often choose to do an extra oil change or two during the break in period...cant hurt, and might very well improve the long-term durability of the engine. Glad you like the videos, and thanks for watching!!
Thank you for the very valuable video. It's extremely helpful. Please do not delete. I also bought a CBR 300. Here in Germany there are very few of them. When I searched there were only 5 for sale in Germany.
you're the best ! thanks for sharing these videos. even if its not exactly for what I need in the moment, they are still very helpful in helping me learn my way around my bike.
It's looks pretty cool with just the fairings off before you take off the under cowl. I'm going to have to give this a shot on my CB300F. I think the right fairing wasn't installed correctly since it sits further from the body than the left fairing.
You're right! I can see it in the exploded diagram for the middle cowl on partzilla...it's #16: www.partzilla.com/catalog/honda/motorcycle/2015/cbr300r-a-cbr300ra/middle-cowl-under-cowl I guess a prior owner must have misplaced it before i bought this bike?
I'll add it to my list of things to do! Who knows... maybe it will be quick and easy? photos.app.goo.gl/cbRSfCvc7uTi8DGL6 You're talking about #10, right?
I have cbr 300 r, today i made an accident, all the covers crashed, is it possible please to guide me to the website they can sell me a full cover kit?
I'd try putting on some penetrating oil like "liquid wrench" or even just WD40 and then wriggle it back and forth. Maybe consider using 2 pairs of pliers to get a better grip on each side. Worst case, if it's impossible to get them apart, you could just clip them off and crimp new connectors later. Let me know what you end up doing, and good luck!
There's a chart in the video at about 0:23 or 0:24 that shows the removal dependencies. Looks like the middle cowl does need to be removed to get at the bottom fairing. Good luck, and thanks for the kind words!! 😊
@@lightningfrog27 Saw an all black CBR300 without farings and it looked so aggressive. Was really sweet. Changed my view on the bikes aesthetics significantly. A naked Ninja won't look quite like that. Great guide btw bro, you've helped out a lot of people.
As far as I know, the 2019 model should have the same bolt pattern as the 2015...are you just talking about the middle cowl? If this is the first time coming off since the factory, it's probably just a bit stuck on the forward facing tabs.
Great videos, I subscribed so I can hopefully tackle more work on the bike on my own. Your videos will help for sure. I just got my CBR300R a couple of months ago and I love it. I ordered a new windshield....I can't figure out how to get the windshield out. It doesn't release like I see in other videos. Have you ever taken yours off? Thanks!!
Thanks for the sub :D I haven't taken my wind screen off yet, but that might be a good candidate for a one-off vid like the rear cowl one I did recently
@@lightningfrog27 Yes.. I watched that video and thought it was great you just took it off and reinstalled just for the demo lol! I'm doing a fender eliminator soon (it's on order) so that will come in handy. All the videos I see for windscreen removal mention a release clip. but I just don't see that when I got into it and had to bail on the project. Thanks again...the video edits are great.
i think i ended up using a flathead screwdriver after removing that plastic push rivet....it was definitely one of the more difficult connections to break! I actually forgot about that particular connection while i was originally filming this, which is why that bit at 1:29 is a still image with a groggy sounding voice over. Sorry, and good luck!

I'm not sure I would have got my fairing off without your video, the Haynes manual I have was pretty useless, so many thanks for sharing this.
I fixed my own bike thanks to your videos on how to remove and fix. Thanks so much, yrs later and this is still awesome.
Glad it helped, and thanks for taking the time to leave a thoughtful comment.... really makes me feel good 😎

With the hex socket bolt near where your knee would be, I believe there's also a rubber washer.

Please do a seal repair!! This channel helps me so much!
Which seal are you referring to?
Thanks a million for the vid, this was very helpful.
Dude, I’d like to know how to remove the left fairing near the back seat.. It’s been so hard to understand or find how to do...
I'll add it to my list of things to do! Who knows... maybe it will be quick and easy?

If I wanted to remove the bottom fairing, do the sides have to come off as well?

You're most welcome - thanks for taking the time to leave a comment :)
Am I weird for thinking this bike in particular looks really dope without the fairings?
Nah, I think it's surprisingly good without the side fairings too I imagine that's one of the reasons the "naked" style of bike exists commercially.
