If you don't have a heating mat ,you could just put it on your fridge ,it generates enough heat to do the job,I did it an those roots came out with in 2weeks
In my experience, if you trim the cuttings that don't readily root, exposing the wooden stem, they will root within 2 weeks. It also helps to cover the container to trap more of the heat, especially if you are trying to root cuttings during the winter.
Eric, do you prefer to start rooting in water or would you rather go ahead and root in your put with dirt? From growing fig cuttings, I have a heat mat, rooting hormone, micoryzil fungus and worn castings. How would you suggest proceeding? I've watched all of you dragon videos. Thank you Eric. 👍
That's a great question. I think that soil rooting with mycoryzil fungus, worm castings, and rooting hormone, tends to produce stronger roots from the get-go, so that would be go to..
Thanks for your informative videos. For example, When i have fresh cutting from dragons plant, we should put that cutting under the shade untill dry its cutting place??? After cutting energies dry should keep in soil???
Interesting. Scientifically, why does the plant need to left out in the shade for a few weeks before potting? What’s the plant doing begind the scenes?
Is it possible to root a large stem which has been cut into 3 parts? All the parts (top and bottom) have callused over. I've had them in the soil for 5 months now and there's no sign of roots. The temperature here has been around 15 to 25 degrees C.
I'm looking for Ecuador palora cuttings in Florida...If anyone knows of a reliable contact for that I'd appreciate the the info. And would share the love it will sow......
Live in virgin island, seldom goes below 80. Cuttings took several weeks to get here. Thought callused over. Been 2 weeks followed ur directions, no root whatso ever. Should i throw out or cut off bottom and start over?
If the wound is turning red or a rust like color it means that there is an infection. All you have to do is wash your clippers real good then spray them down with alcohol. Let the clippers dry a bit (3-5 minutes) then clip off the infected part.
Why don't you just use rooting compound or cloning powder for soil. I figure it would take 7-10 days to root , it only takes 3-7 days to get root via a water cloning system, you could root them inside and plant them in the soil when they are ready. I don't do soil at all but there is no issue with rooting a plant with a hydro cloning system and planting it in soil afterwards.
In my next video I'll probably show the differences between rooting hormones. I think it's good to show lots of different ways to root (to give people different options)
You can buy some cuttings on ebay or etsy. Don't plant seeds unless you don't care if you get fruit for 5 or 6 yrs, cuttings can make fruit in a year lots of times.
Excellent comparison! It’s great to see how fast they rooted. I’m excited about I see how they thrive in your climate. Thanks for the shout out! 🐉
Do you ship to the USA?

En un refrigerador?? No es más frío un refrigerador? Tal vez el traductor no hizo bien la traducción
@@alexelleon4390above the refrigerator! On top - Not inside it ❤
Very good advice.

Cover it so no fresh air can enter? Or do you uncover regularly for them to get some CO2?
Thanks for the video. Great tip on using a heating pad ❤
Wow good information. 🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉
My secret weapon for any plant is aquarium root tabs.
Hey great series you’re doing out of curiosity if you wanted to use a routing hormone could you
absolutely. Matter of fact I have a video coming up that talks about that specific topic..
Thanks ❤❤
Haha tell me you have never worked in a restaurant.
Great video!
😂😂
Can I use any kind of heating pad like the one I have for my body? Ur video was a good help for me thank you.
You don't want it to get too hot. 90f would be the max.

yes. Bury it about 1/2 inch
Thank you sir, stay blessed 🙌
Interesting. Scientifically, why does the plant need to left out in the shade for a few weeks before potting? What’s the plant doing begind the scenes?
I think it develops protection, a lot of succulents have to allowed to callus over or else the tend to start rotting from the exposure
SO… question: Can I propagate them at the root? I have two arms that are totally separate but connected at the base/root. Should i cut them apart?
Water rooting or soil rooting? Which one is fast? Which one is the best?

wow, amazing! I followed this and I'm seeing really fast results. Do I have to airdry before planting in soil?
No need to air dry
Looks like a little humidity is all that's required judging by the top roots around the new growth leaves.
Great video
Thank you for the detailed video. Can you please tell me Where can I purchase the dragon fruit cut to start my work?
Should you root them in the sun or shade?
Shade
@@2guysandacooler ok thanks!
I tried this and after 6 days a lot of my cutting are starting to rot and getting many rot dots. What can i do to save them?
What if the outside temperature is 90 degrees during the day and 80 deg at night? I live in south Florida.
Perfect temperature 80 to 90 degrees
No routing hormone?
not in this video
