    The 6.4L was by far the best looking body style of the newer trucks, such a shame they were a fail motor-wise. Even the 3V Tritons were a mess.

      My 3v triton has 150,000 with no issues other than a dash short.. engine runs great.

      They aren't very good how ever you might drive em. My cousins blew the gaskets at 88,000 miles. And my other cousins 6.0 locked up tight with 160,000 on it the oil pump went witch is common. The 6.7s are tough as mud tho!!

      @@lee-vq4bh Well, I have 240,000 miles pulling a skidsteer before the gasket let go and a lifter went bad. Lifters are way to small for these engines.

      @@mattcaesar5781 bullshit the block and bedplate design with fords crank and rods is the stoutest thing about these.. learn something first buddy only flaw inside the long block is the pistons the lifters and the rocker arms don’t see enough oil in head... piezo electric injectors k16 pump compound turbo ? These things are simple fixes when you can buy these for 5-10k lol but everyone thinks they are so trash

      @@Awomman-kp3by All depends on how you maintain/operate them… they aren’t race cars, they aren’t meant to be dogged on. Stay on top of maintenance, take care of it and it will take care of you. Fuck a 6.4

      Bruh it's a 6.4, they aren't terribly expensive to buy... just expensive to fix.

It's not even like it's that expensive to buy a 6.4 or a 6.0, They don't command nearly as much money to buy outright as either a clean 7.3 or a well used 6.7 You can buy a blown up 6.4 and sink a fully built 6.4 from KDD with steel pistons and o-ringed heads in it for as much as a decent 11-16 6.7 and just blow the doors off of any other diesel on the road.

      @@haileyhart7175 let me rephrase that… the newer generation of the NBS 7.3 engine the 2000-2002 or 2003.5 because technically the E99 were still the 7.3 engines from 97/98 just with some small differences… the 2000-2002 were a way different setup than the E99

      Thats pretty bad ass! That 6.7 (The Scorpion) is also a real beast. They all have their weakness, the 6.7 being the first year 2011 valves and turbo 2011-2012. Still making the 6.7! Taking that DPF and EGR off saves them all, piss on the EPA, while they allow a single rockets and some factories to destroy more than all the trucks combined. Not fucking my truck up for them.
