"I'm sorry Mark, I can't do that." It was at that point, I completely lost my collective shit. I love pinball video games, this is one I will start looking for.
Oh wow... that was the first (well, second, if you count Tetris) game I got for my Game Boy back in the days. Thumbs up for both the game and the review! And for Mark's voice, of course.
This is such an awesome and addictive game. I owned it as a kid and had constant hi-score battles against my dad. I bought it again a few years ago and still fire it up quite often :)
Oh boy! I remember this one from back then. Had a lot of fun with this, thanks for reviewing. Good thing it's not that expensive nowadays anymore, 3€ is definitely worth it, I guess. Oh and by the way, for using the English pronouncing of letters, you did well on Rheinland-Pfalz! Thumbs up to both!
Omg, I know the intro speech by heart now. BANISHED FROM EARTH CLASSIC GAME ROOM BROADCASTS FROM THE INTERGALACTIC SPACE ARCADE ON ITS NEVER-ENDING MISSION TO REVIEW, EVERYTHING!!!
Just picked this game up yesterday at my local used game shop for $4.50. If you like pinball you’ll enjoy this one. Somewhat comparable to Kirby Pinball; I like it!
Does a gator that exacts his revenge carry half a dozen of dead hillbillies on the back of his truck on a Saturday evening while opening a can of beer and wearing human skin shoes?
I've had Gator meat. A more accurate description of its flavor, it's a very wild gamey chicken flavor crossed with a lobster and it's got a bit of fishyness. It's texture is a bit like a steak, but it's not chewy or tough, like a very tender steak. It's really good meat actually, and it's pretty savory, try it if you ever get the chance.
Anyone who likes this game should also try Kirby's Pinball Land, made by the same people at HAL Laboratory. It runs pretty much the same but more advanced and with Kirby!
Did you say this was playable on the 3DS? I know it works on the GBA and backwards, anyway, it does look good. I'm gonna check it out. Also, gators do taste like chicken; a little greasier but very tasty when fried. And with beer.
What is the gator getting revenge for? Who wronged the gator and in what way?? This is IMPORTANT BACKSTORY. I want a JRPG based on the gator's past revealing how the gator eventually was driven to reap revenge via pinball.
My first Game Boy game. Not Super Mario Land 2, not Donkey Kong 94, Not Kirby's Dream Land 2, or Wario Blast... revenge of the fucking gator pinball. XD
Revenge of the Gator is one of the most underrated game boy games.
One of my favorite GameBoy games of all time! Great review Mark!
Nice reference at the end there.
2001 A Space Odyssey. Nice catch by both of us.

I played this a lot when I was a kid. This video brought back a rush of memories. I wish I had a copy and a Gameboy to play right now!
And on another note, getting to bonus stage 2 or 3 is a challenge comparable to winning the lottery at the exact moment you're struck by lightening
I just picked this up yesterday actually! I'll be uploading some gameplay when I go through my first bout of Game Boy videos this weekend.
Gator vs Yar, who will get revenge first?
Lol I get it.
Oh man I played that one so often, how could I forget about it.
Played the heck out if this and Bad'n'Rad for the Gameboy. Oh boy, the memories are flooding back.

I played this game when I was like 5 years old. Wow, that warm and fuzzy nostalgic feeling! I'll have to ask my aunt if she still has this one!
Actually a pretty good pronunciation of Rheinland-Pfalz. Greetings from Germany und danke Ulli. :-)
Oh boy! I remember this one from back then.

I have been collecting tons off original Gameboy titles this year, this looks awesome. Adding it to my MUST HAVE list! :D
Mark, the same guys that made Gunlord are making a game for Neo Geo called RAZION! It is supposed to be available this fall. Check it out!
Got this one and Kirby's Pinball Land, both from Hal. Two damned good pinball titles for the original GB.
I spent hours and hours on this as kid sat in the back of my mum and dads car!!! Ahh the memories! :-)
I used to play this game for hours as a kid. Definitely one of my favorites growing up.
BTW: Great pronunciation of Rheinland-Pfalz, Marc!
I have this on the 3ds VC, it's fun and I like the art style, plus the music is pretty catchy.
Omg, I know the intro speech by heart now.
BANISHED FROM EARTH CLASSIC GAME ROOM BROADCASTS FROM THE INTERGALACTIC SPACE ARCADE ON ITS NEVER-ENDING MISSION TO REVIEW, EVERYTHING!!!
there's also T-Shirts of it
I still love that game. Play it every now and then on the VC.
spent so many hours on this as kid, loved it
You didn't mention that HAL would later help make Pokemon Pinball also for the Game Boy.
Wow this review is 7 years old
OMG I had and remember this game...I forgot how awesome the music is!
Man, I had this game as a kid. Incredibly frustrating in its difficulty, but I love love love that soundtrack even still.
The table design reminds me slightly of Devil Crush on the TG16.
HAL's effort may have been improved upon in recent years, but it's still an appealing and addictive pinball outing.
I wish this game was remake for the switch in color
Someone needs to make an El Camino racing game for mark.
How many Pinball games did HAL Labs made?
24 years later this game still plays perfectly and can be shared across the world. Not gonna be the case with 3DS sadly.
This game needs to be an animated series or a new movie what? I run out of things to say about it
I wish this game was fully remastered

I've had alligator bites before. It's like tough chicken. like a chicken mcnugget but if you had to fight it. Goes really well with ranch and a beer.

You should review a game you're really good at :)

gator is really good. well, i couldn't tell the difference between gator and cow unless if i was eating both simultaneously.
I used to play this a ton back in the day.. great simple "fun" pinball game.
What is the gator getting revenge for? Who wronged the gator and in what way?? This is IMPORTANT BACKSTORY.

I said this game is way older than I am
Just bought this on ebay, is pure amaze :)
I remember this game... from before half of my friends I chat with online were born
>
David Martinez Dude I was 8 when this game came out, this game is 23 years old now
David Brailsford scratch that, 7
My first Game Boy game. Not Super Mario Land 2, not Donkey Kong 94, Not Kirby's Dream Land 2, or Wario Blast... revenge of the fucking gator pinball. XD

The game is not half bad once you it gets harder

Always the el camino, never a ranchero
Best game.
