    Kanchi Kamakoti Childs Trust Hospital in Chennai has a near hundred percent pass percentage every year. I would definitely recommend it, maybe Pediatric Intensive Care will be handled more by DrNB residents, but apart from that very dedicated teachers, very good subspecialty exposure, Definitely a more relaxed and non toxic residency..

    I am doing medicine from reputed hospital PD Hinduja and trust me ,many of my friends who are in Paeds find Paed,as very discouraging branch since they really have to go mental trauma as their parents keep on nagging them .And in term of superscility in Paeds ,endocrinologist in medicine are suppose to see Paeds patient too .i mean there are hardly any seat .For neuro there is only one seat in Aiims ,that’s it .Pls dnt judge just giving the perscpective of paed by my Paeds colleague in Hinduja hospital .

    • @DrAditya2935
      @DrAditya2935  3 ปีที่แล้ว +7

      Hi, no, thanks. These were my views. Most people I know face a tough residency like your friends but in general have a great liking for Pediatrics.
      Superspecialisation is a different topic.
      For the current Gen - Pediatrics gives an option; both Adult and Pediatric DM.
      As far as few seats is concerned - when have seats not been few?

    • @DrAditya2935
      @DrAditya2935  3 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      For Neuro- AIIMS conducts exams twice in a year with a total of 4 seats.
      PGI also - with similar number of seats.

    I hope pedia is end branch, there is no DM in pedia, yes, Neonatology is there, other than that, if any one does DM after MD pedia, he will no longer be pedia doc.

    Sir i just saw an aakash video of you from 2013 and i wanted to ask that time what exactly was your source of motivation to become a doctor. obviously youve done very well for yourself but not knowing you'd be here 8 years ago i just wanted to know what your mindset and thought process was like at the time of your ug entrances . secondly you said that these 2 years (11th and 12th ) are the most important in your life, study rigorously these 2 years and your life is set. i wanted to ask if you still stand by that statement or do you have a fresher perspective on the issue now. thank you

    I didn't do pedia internship at all,,all other internship also like chill.
    My love for children was endless and pedia was my dream just for that reason 😀.until I was forced to do Compulsory service after MBBs..There I saw pedia deaths for first time,and they happened ryt infront of me..I didn't had skills to intubate.I was alone with interns..Sr weren't available..I had mental trauma and was traumatized blaming myself for 2 deaths..SRS didn't say anything, nobody said anything but my self reflection,self responsibility was making me drown in guilt..
    Just 2 months into Jr ship ,still I cracked Neet and got 3k rank at my first attempt.but this experience completely changed my perspective on pedia..I was escaping from emergency and deaths and thought medicine was ok branch until my seniors said ,deaths , emergency are always present in medicine...

    Sir please answer to my question
    Is it important that you do MD medicine from a top institute and then do DM from average institute
    Or the reverse is true.
    Here is an example MD medicine from Aiims Delhi , dm from State College or the reverse.

    • @Drritwik977
      @Drritwik977 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Firstly you need to Answer to yourself
      Why DM ? is it because it has become a fashion to do so or you want to earn more money with DM degree or you want to doi it for more respect in the society . Trust me If its for money by selecting the entrepreneurial route you can earn more money than a DM guy . If you still want to do it better do superspeciality do from an apex or very good institute or else opt for DNB SS (which will give better training as per latest practice guidelines ) .

Even if the background is MD/DNB medicine still to be on the safer side they will refer to other system specialist like Cardio refering to neuro , gastro refering to pulmonology, rheumatology refering to Endocrine etc , also same system surgeons like Cardiologist refering to Cardiac Surgeon ). Of course it's a trend but I think many cardiologists are cardiologists just because it sounds fancy and fascinating. Half of them are not even capable of so.Has they been the so,then we as Indians must have progressed in the field of research and also in terms of developing diagnostic techniques and not just publishing stupid case reports and waiting for USA to give some of those to us😌😌😌.

      I don’t think that’s possible. Two reasons- For A lot of specialists- cardio/hemat/oncology- a major chunk is children. This can and should happen - but will take Atleast 7-8 years.
