Ya glad to see someone else is into Echo as well. I have a 225i and 2330t. Don't really need anything bigger for finish work. They work great though been using the brand for over 10 years. I bought the Echo CS 310 chainsaw and HC-2020 Hedge trimmer to test them and I will say everything Echo is great.
I use to use feather light Craftsman Murray weed eater and Bolens weed eaters before I have bought my first Stihl fs56 RC string trimmer the push mowers I've use to use was a weed eater brand push mower then I've used an older Briggs and Stratton 3.75 engine

your push scag, its the older model. i bought one new back in 2022 april. it has the swivel casters in the front. its my first commerical push mower. it doesnt like hills. but its really beyond strong to mulch up grass and leafs. i also have 3 toro timemasters in my fleet. my timemasters dont like to mulch and have a hard time with mulching leafs
@@Tannerbaker3331 wouldn't say that so fast, ofcourse parents might have helped but lawncare business pays well to buy new tools. I started with only small leaf blower, now got multiple weedeaters, lawnmowers, saws. So its not really impossible, its hard work
Belt eater definitely isn't great. Have you checked the pulleys for wobble, or run the belt channels for dents or other abnormalities? Or make sure it's not rubbing against anything along its path. If the engine is underpowered, maybe it needs to be checked out. Could be related to the belt issue.
I had the dealer do a detailed look over it and they couldn’t find anything. 4/5 times the belt broke was when I engaged the blades so I think the clutch may be engaging too hard
If u could choose between the Stihl kombi 131r or the echo pas, which one would u choose? I was thinking of the Stihl and putting multiple extensions on it to trim tops of trees since I saw another TH-camr do it. Have u ever done that?? Or how would u recommend trimming the tops of trees? Thanks!!!
Honestly both are great. It comes down to what your dealer sells. You can't go wrong either way. I've personally never used and extension but it would handle that no problem.

He says it voids the Stihl warranty, but he says it’s worth it because IF the powerhead dies, he still profits a lot from it. He says not a lot of landscapers in his area do trees that high, so he gets a lot of clients that way since customers like their trees small
Use family and friends to help you spread the word. When I started my business I lived in and HOA. My customers shared my business in the HOA pages and Facebook groups which really helped. Word of mouth and networking is key.

Do you like the curved shaft edger better than straight shaft and why? Ive only ran straight shaft but interested in the curved for my edger attachment. Have the 2620 PAS as well
I see you have a Darwin handle that is broken I had one broken in the same place they redesigned those made them more heavy-duty I contacted them they sent me one free of charge something to look into
@@stiehllandscaping9768 They also have the business version of the EGO products , I enjoy them alot . The first few years i would not had recommended them but now since the batteries have gone up to 12ah they last alot longer.

@@levichoward6795 I been at this since was 14. I reinvest into equipment that makes me more efficient. I’m on marketplace a lot and look for deals. Vride was bought brand new. But the other mowers were bought on marketplace. (All in cash) I bought the truck when I was 17 so of course my parents had to help me co-sign. When I turned 18 the loan was completely transferred to me. Co-sighing was the main thing my parents helped me with but that was just due to my age so everything else was gotten on my own.
Just curious, How does an 18 year old afford a $50,000 truck and $20,000 worth of equipment? You can't mow that many lawns after you get out of school???
I buy everything in cash so I had no debt for one thing. I had enough saved up to put a decent down payment on it as well. The payments made sense and were easily affordable with it being the only thing I have debt on. Of course my parents had to cosign since I bought it when I was 17. When I turned 18, they transferred the loan completely in my name but they did not put a dime into the truck.

The reason why you are going through deck belts is the mulch kit. I would take the mulch kit off and get a qwikechute
I installed the mulch kit this fall, I went through 4 belts before I had the mulch kit put on

Scag is pme pf the best brands no doubt. The turf tiger was way too heavy for me so that's why I traded it for a cheetah

The v ride should not bog down. I’m 225lbs and mow 5 to 1 slopes with mine and ZERO issues on hills or super tall grass.

If I did it over again I would’ve gotten the 16 but the 14 is perfect for a 2 mower setup

Where do you place grass clipping, leaves and debris that you haul away from customers?
For sticks and shrub trimming I have a burn pile at my house, for leaves and grass I dump at the woodline of customers properties
Have you had issues with the bagging system yet on the turf tiger? Or do you not bag grass?
The belt is a pain to take on and off but besides that no issues out of the bagging system

I've run the curved and straight shaft Echo 260 and 2625 edgers.
I prefer the curved shaft
It's more efficient, easier to maneuver on smaller lawns
I like walking beside the edger rather than directly behind it

I switched to online school in order to grow my business which has helped tremendously. I wouldn’t be at the point where I am now without doing that.
