I had a model older than this one that I love. My sister has difficulty with tools that are too heavy and she actually loved mine and found it easy to use th-cam.com/users/postUgkx_rBCFuDW1zD6blTGhLkvAkxU657uR_lG . This is a newer model but was even lighter which she really appreciates. She enjoys it and I no longer have to go to her house to trim as she can handle it fine. Haven't used it enough to comment on the battery life but lithium batteries last longer than the old style. Being cordless makes it easy to trim the far edges of the property. The entire yard can be trimmed with one charged battery.

Yes this is a really good business for young people. It’s not for everyone though it does get hard at times. Kids nowadays are lazy and have everything they want from their parents. I bought 30 lawns from a friend in 2015. And now I have a new wright stander a bobcat and a dixie chopper and 2 trucks.
Seeing al these people succeeding in their hustles makes me happy 💪🤟💯 I’m planning to start a lawn mowing business since I’m just out of high school. I want to be able to buy a car before college starts.
My sentiments exactly lol. I was like really? You really can find anything on TH-cam! Lol as long as someone’s creative enough to do it. Or, someone who genuinely wanted to show people how to start a mowing business. ☺️ Perhaps both!
My parents have had the same person doing their yard for 30 years. The man have paid off his house here, and bought a house in his hometown in Mexico. And sent his 3 kids to college here. Anyone complaining there is no way to make money is just not looking hard enough
Right on brother!! I run a small personal landscape maintenance business and your comment on the 'side hustle guy' was spot on. I stand by my prices because of the quality and service my clients receive. Keep up the awesome content!!!!
2 years later from seeing this video, got my own lawn care business and next year will be multiple 6 figures 😎😎 The video that pushed me to take that step 💪

This is awesome to see man, had a friend do the same thing after graduating with a finance degree fed up with the job market. Made like $70k his first summer. Just put out more signs than anyone and did the overgrown lawns no one wanted to

So yeah, it takes a degree to understand how little they teach you. & his contracts are for 452k so far this year, so he definitely made the right decision. He’ll net ~280 as a 24yr old
You are correct about eating healthy and being able to stay under the sun longer, I ride my bike to do work and the better I ate the more I was able to tolerate the sun and heat. Thanks for this summary of lawn mowing business, very helpful man!
More power to ya! When the economy crashed in '07 I lost my job. Tried to make some cash passing out flyers in my neighborhood offering to cut grass. All I had was my 22" push mower, a string trimmer, and a leaf blower. Pretty soon word spread and I got more customers. Had to buy a bigger mower, then a trailer. I showed up on time, did my best, and was respectable looking, speaking, and acting. My "business" grew faster than I could keep up. I wish all success in the world to you!
Nice Nice Mijo. You should be proud. I am very impressed that you are right on time of your vision and staying focused. I am 56 year old woman and work lawns. I worked in an office 36 years and due to medical issues disabled and now convinced that lawn work is my gift. When I started I did not even know how to string a weed eater or know how to stop or use the blower without getting it in my face. Thanks to these types of videos. I learned a little from all that took the time to great these videos. God bless and I am not quitting yet. Im just started...
Man I’m amazed! Not sure why TH-cam suggested this video, and I don’t know why I clicked it, but I’m glad I did, really good to see somebody working hard and hustling. Good knowledgeable video my friend. Keep it up :)
I feel like everywhere would be like that lol! Just because of the simplicity I guess? Kinda like " all your doing is pushing a mower" or something. Not like your using your brains or something unique I suppose, not sure
Start my lawn care business in 2018 I was 17 at the time I built a bicycle trailer I put the lawn mower weed wacker and leaf blower I would ride around town doing lawn im 23 now I'm on my second pick up truck business is booming . I came a long way with my business .
16:56 starts the most importend part. This dude is a straight up professional. I saw him for the first time right now and im so impressed. Such a cool and relaxed person. Imagine, he is my boss. I would kill for him. This dude right here is in 10 years a multi millionaire. Much respect and good luck from Germany.
such a genuine person. I don’t care what level you’re at in life. You can learn something from this video about the importance of knowing yourself and knowing how to treat others. More love brother keep rising !
I own a small landscaping company and I appreciate your video. There really is a lot of money to be made, and unlike other businesses where you do the job and it doesn’t need to be done again for years, grass and landscapes always need service. I worked for the government for 10 years and hated it...now that I’m 3 years into the landscaping business, I’m making more $ and able to spend more time with my family. Attitude goes a long way in any profession but especially when you’re in the heat. Your video and advice has a good balance of being fair but knowing your worth and making what you should.
Yup I made $85 in one hour back when I was like 15 just using my dad's Honda 21" and echo trimmer. This was about 2010. If I could scale that, it would have been awesome
Love this. I worked with a landscaping business for 2 years and the money is real. We don't need anyone to tell us how much our labor is worth. Do like my guy here and decide for yourself.
Bro i want to start mowing business, i neve had mown grass coz i am immigrant we cut it by hand in my country. i have done ones with grass trimmer but looked ugly. How to make it nice looking how can i learn. Thank you
@@fitnessforlife8966 one thing you can learn is to train your fore arms, yes. training certain muscles makes the job so much easier to do like fore arm strength which will allow you to evenly cut grass with weed eaters by leveling it to the lawnmower's set level which in itself is a skill to learn on how to do properly along with learning how to edge the side of the grass between the sidewalk and sometimes in the little water irrigations
You're an inspiration to us all, even if the others don't know it. Not only did I just start an all season lawn care business, but I'm a door to door guy so, I know all about the heat and fell in love with dri fit recently as well.
I normally don’t leave comments but dude thank you. So motivating. I want to open a junk removal business I have the truck for it but something is stopping me and I don’t know what just keep pushing I guess.
It’s the nervousness and the “how do i go about it” mindset. Maybe or maybe not idk. But that’s how I feel when things hold me back. Just go for it homie. Sounds cliche but really G just go for it.
I would say from experience and still kinda in the same position (not after this video tho),Try to pinpoint what is bothering you and everyday move closer to the business, the closer I’ve been getting to actually executing the more I’m able to know why I feel stuck, my main problem was other ppls opinions bc my whole life I’ve been told who i am and what i have to do by my very large family but we all have to learn on our own that who you are is who you show yourself to be by the actions and thoughts you take and think daily many things can hold u back but there is a difference between people who know where they want to go and don’t, the ones who don’t go to college in debt, the ones who do think and contemplate and make there own decisions
You gotta start somewhere. Everyone walks a thousand miles step by step. Never work for free. When you see the cash coming to your pocket and the value you provide, it becomes fuel to keep going.
Yo man I'm asian and just about to start my mowing business. Right now I'm just warming up my mind and body, trying not to shock em when I actually into the real game. Thanks for the tips, bro.
Love the hustle, when we live in a world contrived by going to college getting in debt and then working the 9 to 5 to make money for someone else. You're doing big things, and this video will give a different perspective for many lost millennials out there (including myself). Good shit brotha!
good for you bro. from another half-Filipino brother from Maui who quit his federal government supervisory cushy job to work landscaping full time and now feels like he has the best job and best customers, it is all worth it. All came from word of mouth from doing good work and being honest and approachable until I had to quit my job so I wouldn't lose the higher dollar work and beloved customers. I worked with plenty of landscaping companies and as a high-end gardener, but working alone is so much easier! For anyone, get your basic equipment and just take jobs as they come, do good work and allow it to grow.
I am 31 and work for myself doing home improvement for last 2 years and I found a lot of value from this video. You reaffirmed a lot that I have been learning on my own being a single man business. Thanks brother. I subscribed with the condition you make more lifestyle videos . Peace ✌
Hell yeah I mow my own twice a week I always get compliments so I’m easily charging 40-50 per yard because that’s what I’m worth!!! Don’t chase them replace them!! love it!

It’s refreshing seeing younger people work. I’m only 20 but man do I love to work. I worked in landscaping with my dad growing but I hated working with my dad (who doesn’t) but I never minded the work. Now I’m a union plumber and building super and I love always being busy. Hopefully you fulfill your goals and grow a big business, good luck!
I've started cutting lawns since I was 15 when I was dealing with family problems. Was hard to do it but it took motivation & dedication to get things done. Years past & my family is getting there things straightened up & i'm 18 working landscaping. I cut lawns big & small, throw mulch, trim lots & big bushes & hedges. It's not a perfect job but it's working so far. Didn't want to be that lazy kid anymore asking my parents for things I want. I push myself & find a way to do it myself. If theres a job out there, take it no matter what if you need it. This guy gave me some good tips in this vid. I start drinking electrolytes instead of cans & cans of Pepsi 😐🙏
@@Makemoneymowing Hey i just subscribed and love what you do and the book u read as well as ur outlook on things(mindset) i am considering starting lawnmowering but dont know If I could sustain It or really enjoy It, how many days do you work a week? thanks

Turning 30 and have been watching a lot of videos to get started. Little nervous, especially since I’ll only be able to do it twice a week. But you two give me hope 🤘🏼
I'm 33 and I started my own landscaping company around age 26 just like him. You can do it, too. There is enough grass for us all to cut. Have integrity, be honest, do a good job even when nobody but you knows the difference, and you'll be good to go.
I like the way how you keep your growing business simple. What you made in five hours is what most people make in a week working five days. Don`t worry about Uncle Sam, the type of business you have, you can control how much you want to report (being it is it can be a cash only business), plus you have the ability to write off expenses to reduce your tax liability.
That’s how my dad started bro now hes doing commercial and residential houses no matter how big. Took him some years but he’s happy with he’s job and he’s been doing it for over 40 years. Best of luck
I did construction off and on for 13 years, including cutting grass. Got tired of being outside and became a software engineer. Watching your video made me actually miss doing this kind of work. All the best, good luck!! Subbed!
Lol I'm reverse. I spent a great deal of time indoors doing technical work as well. Now I'd rather go be outdoors. It's not healthy being inside all of the time.
@@MinisterRedPill I spend a lot of time inside playing games and doing self employed lawn care and yes it definitely makes me feel healthier to do this than doing an office job not moving
@MinisterRedPill That's what I was gonna say, too. Eventually working at a desk wears on you much worse. Not only does your motivation dwindle over time, but you start to get physical symptoms from leaning on your wrists all day (numbness in hands and arms), back problems, eye issues... Working at a computer all day every day is terrible long term.
I'm an electrician and this goes with our business too. I charge what I am worth too. Many times customers what to low ball me and I just tell them no. There are many parallels with our businesses in both trades. Good job.
Glad to hear you’re saving your money. that’s what will give you the freedom in the future to go and do whatever you want! You’ll be freed up to start a business anywhere and you’ll have the cash to start it up. Keep up the hustle bro!!!
I used to clean pools as a young man and remember coming across thousands of yard care pros, some would make up to 7-10k a month. One guy took care of 1 family's yards they were dairy farmers each paid 3k a month for total yard care.
I like that “We don’t chase them, we replace them” thank you bro for this knowledge that you have shared, I appreciate the behind the scenes input you mentioned about mowing lawns that are right next to each other, may you continue to prosper 💪🏽💯
Excellent video. Thank you for sharing! I just started a few weeks ago with one lawn of a friend whose guy stopped showing up. His neighbor saw my work and now also hired me because he too was dissatisfied with his guy. Then I got another client who turned me down a few weeks ago, but her guy wasn’t communicating with her…point being, you’re right! Show up when you say you’re going to show up and do a good job. Thanks for the advice!
I do the same thing you do I mow yards for a living I have 62 yards. and I really like your work ethic and you positivity towards what you do. My yards are small like yours I've been mow yards now for 5 years. The way you think and the way you do your yard are basically like the way I do my yards I also have a Black and Decker trimmer and just like you the do the work just fine because I also don't do that much trimming but if I do thy get the job done.i also use a push mower I use a Toro 22' rear wheel drive recycler I love using it. I really like Toro brand mowers and I also like using Stihl weedeaters and there blowers. So just like I said you and me basicly work alot alike.well Zach if I have any questions on something dealing with lawn care I will ask you for your opinion and any ideas that my have that might help me out. We'll keep up the really good work that you do each day. Also if you wanted to ask me any questions please feel free to I don't mind a bit. We'll take care and stay safe out there.

Bravo and thank you! I'm 59 now and started doing lawns at age 9 and then worked others jobs as I got older. I retired 6-years ago. Work hard when you are young so you can relax and still enjoy life when you are under 60.
To turn easier with a push mower in a fenced in yard make two passes along the fence then when making passes you can turn without the handle hitting the fence.
I've been in this business for over 20 years, here in Miami,Fl, where it's always 90°+ @ 90%+ humidity...biggest recommendation I have is wear LONG SLEEVES.... people think you'll feel hotter, but trust me... It's the total opposite affect
This was great! I was like eh, then heard what he had to say. Didn't disappoint I'll tell u that. I've been landscaping for 5 years n Im still learn new things. Awesome sauce!
You are spot on with the headphones. That’s a top tip! The music/podcast might seem like a great idea but it actually wears you out over the course of a long day. Simple earplugs to kill the noise from our equip is the best.
This is my second year in business and i have 54 lawns to mow each week. One thing i know for sure is leave the slow payers, clients that want extra stuff done but dont want to pay for it, and clients that are always complaining just because they see some extra little grass hairs that you forgot to weed wack. CLIENTS COME AND GO
Get them on contract with a late payment disclaimer, giving them 5 week days to pay(not business days)...if I have not received payment in full, after 5 days of completion of labor,I charge an additional $100 fee, with an additional $20 fee per day past the 5 day window and cease any additional work until payment is made in full.....always make contracts....even if it's for a shitty $50 property....but to be honest, landscaping and tree work is where the money is at.. maintenance is good just to fill the gaps....also,STAY AWAY from any kind of government properties...I had 12, section 8 housing projects that were bi-weekly and they take FOREVER to pay
When I used to do it as a side hustle with a friend, we used an electric string trimmer. We had a customer that kept wondering why we didn't have a gas string trimmer. She acted like we HAD to have one because that's what professionals use, even though we were only charging $20 when the professional would charge $40. You gonna pay an un-professional price, you gonna get un-professional equipment that it less efficient. We did professional grade work, but just couldn't afford professional grade equipment.
It's called trimming the fat. No matter how good you're there's always gonna be complainers and/or slow payers. So you replace them with new ones next year
this guy is excactly me , i like it simple uncomplicated work . Simple and neat but not over complicated as that is when it gets bogged down so to speak. Working outdoors is way cool for me and i enjoy it very much. I support this type of work very much, you get to help and give back to the enviroment to and you get to create some thing much better after work completion, so yeah im oboard and fully support landscaping work....

This is awesome to see man, had a friend do the same thing after graduating with a finance degree fed up with the job market. Made like $70k his first summer. Just put out more signs than anyone and did the overgrown lawns no one wanted to

Lmao I was working with my dad since I was 8 lol these guys arent even close to the money we have lol
Actually they’re lawn mower too.
People who can’t work in the heat 😂

In the area I live people only want to give like $20 or $30 for a HUGE yard, then only want to call 1 time a month when their grass is 3ft high
I feel like everywhere would be like that lol! Just because of the simplicity I guess? Kinda like " all your doing is pushing a mower" or something. Not like your using your brains or something unique I suppose, not sure
@@Tyler-xp5db tbh I see it the same way. $60 dollars per mow sounds like a lot tbh. These suburb people loaded so it’s cool haha.
In southern NJ no one is paying $60 for that size lawn; $30-45 depending on frequency of cutting
20 dollars is what more people earn in my country every TWO days.

such a genuine person.
I had my business for over 15 years, sold it 3 times, and love this profession. Great job, content, and encouragement, continued success to you.
Really?
Bro i want to start mowing business, i neve had mown grass coz i am immigrant we cut it by hand in my country. i have done ones with grass trimmer but looked ugly. How to make it nice looking how can i learn. Thank you
why did you sell it?

My bro told me about the long sleeves in the heat. He worked in Saudi for a year
When I go fishing in the summer I put on a long sleeve white dress shirt. Goodwill $2 for one of them. Looking good fishing and staying cool too
My dad told me
Just not a cotton shirt... that’s a bad day. Don’t ask how I know

good for you bro. from another half-Filipino brother from Maui who quit his federal government supervisory cushy job to work landscaping full time and now feels like he has the best job and best customers, it is all worth it.

@@bossjulian7113 No I never do that because I give it my all or nothing I never lower my price

I used to clean pools as a young man and remember coming across thousands of yard care pros, some would make up to 7-10k a month. One guy took care of 1 family's yards they were dairy farmers each paid 3k a month for total yard care.

Even more impressive is he did all that with one hand the whole day , the whole thing .... the other was holding the camera for us to enjoy!!!!
You are spot on with the headphones. That’s a top tip! The music/podcast might seem like a great idea but it actually wears you out over the course of a long day. Simple earplugs to kill the noise from our equip is the best.
I’ve been thinking about doing this for a while. Your my inspiration to do this
You do it?
