Wasn't this year but: That one time Kyrgios made the umpire think he threw a bottle when it actually slipped out of his hand was a genius-level fake too.
In Kyrgios' case, It's not that the shots/disguise are so good or so clever, but more the fact that he plays on the fear generated by his heavy forehand sometimes. This tactics should find full efficiency if he keeps sending heavy forehands regularly to really surprise the opponent. An average baseline hitter could not do that like him, because the opponent would not be so far behind the baseline.
1:38 I like Murray but that was gracious of Alcaraz not to complain. No problem with underhand serves, but if you watch the whole thing you'll see Alcaraz had just walked up to the baseline and wasn't even looking up to receive.
i understand that kyrgios has had very questionable behavior in the years he’s been on the tour, but he’s still an extremely talented and (at times) funny player, therefore i don’t think he deserves all the hate he gets
@@mfzoom5401 what does being anti vax have to do with being a bad person? Questionable selection. Half of the shots don't deserve to be here. There were better ones by Grigor and other players. It's biased towards Kyrgios, Dimitrov and Murray which is understandable but would love to see some others
I think they’re trying to showcase some skilful shots where the opponent didn’t see it coming not simply some hotshots. I still don’t understand the full reasoning behind some of the selected shots though 😂
Everyone. Not their best video. This happens when they don't really have enough footage to make a fleshed out and quality video but they likely have a quota to reach so we're stuck with mediocre content
Most of these have nothing to do with intelligence and have everything to do with athletic ability. The first one is neither. It’s just a mildly funny thing Kyrgios did.
This is not really high IQ, but simply high technical skills. Thinking about those shots in our brain, we can all do at our level, but executing it is something else.
I don’t mind underhand serves but honestly the underhand fake into regular serve that kyrgios does is a little too much. I think there should be a rule against that.

I believe Kyrgios was the first guy to use the fake drop shot deep play in as well as the second serve bomb. We saw Meddy use that tactic recently.
