Life sentence is better in these situations, death penalty means he wouldn’t even have to suffer for the things he did to those women, he already lived a happy life ,he deserves to pay for the consequences while he’s still breathing . If he gets sentenced to death it’s just a completely painless injection that puts him to sleep. I would much rather him rot and suffer in prison til his natural dying day , than a easy death. At this point with his age, getting caught is really just him making the most of his situation. His last dash for his 15 minutes of game and all the surrounding attention by so many people. Any convict will tell you they'd much prefer to be in prison than in Sac. County Jail and I've been there myself (not as an inmate). They talk about how bad prisons are. In this country prisons are much better than they are then every country in the world. And they say his age is consideration he’s 72 years old. How much time does he have left anyway? End it now California taxpayers should not have to pay for this guys room and board and three square meals a day for the rest of his life. And I don’t think families get closure until the person who did it is dead. Just one murder is enough to put him to death. You don’t need a bunch of trials for each one.

He has aged considerably since 2018. However, it's well documented that he had vast fluctuations in weight and physical ability. The multiple personality disorder may have some credibility because he had noted tantrums apparently yelling at people who were not there. His conviction was a forensic disaster because the true crimonolgy experts never got the opportunity to fully examine him? Mind you, Joe had a complete Police Science B.S. Degree where he attained advanced knowledge of forensic skills in fingerprints. crime scene technology and photography etc. Very possible he studied multiple personality disorders as a future defense without actually being afflicted himself? With his guilty plea, the door was closed to countless questions only he could answer? In a sense there is no real closure. Law Enforcement had egg on their face from a calculated criminal in plain sight.

Why would they need his confession and why do they want to take the death penalty out for it. There was so much evidence connecting him to the gsk. Prosecutors will really just take the easy rought every time.

"Jerry or some demonic force made me do it"
Kind of a genius defense. Should've just said he was possessed
And affirmed "In 1988 I Deangelo proudly defeated the devil inside me that was responsible for all these crimes, I'm a hero"

THE Rodney Alcala was in Corcoran as well. I forget if it was in Corcoran, but he said he was in the 'weenie yard' and that he wasn't a violent guy.
Anyway, if you can't give them the death penalty for that many years, test drugs and makeup on them.

It’s kinda funny he’s only “sorry” and feels this righteous need to pay for his crimes after decades at 74 when he’s caught and backed into a corner.

Our country loves wasting so much money and resources.. 30 to 35 years to actually have the death sentence taken out. The guy will get out of jail by the time he's executed

Speaking of death penalty. The death penalty is letting people off easy. Leaving earth as opposed to remaining in prison is like a blessing. We all go the spirit world, its just like here but without physical matter, its all energy based and all the beings are energy and everything moves at quantum speed which is faster than light. Its a gift to kill criminals over giving life in prison.
