I'm new to this paralyzed from the waist down life and I don't want to give up my jeep or independence of driving. Can I ask what wheelchair you have? Mine doesn't break down like that. Also what do you use for driving controls ...as in gas and brake. Thank you :)
Hi Samantha, ALL the ones I've ever seen SUCK! I custom make them. They're right hand operated so you can use your turn signals, attach at the seat bolts (no damage to interior) & not at the steering column (which damages the interior). Get ridged chair with a foldable back & removable wheels. There are several different brands & models. I don't drive so I'm not sure about hand controls but if you contact the people in Craig hospital in Denver Colorado they have a driver's education department that does only that they couple point you in the right direction. It's all they do.
I really want to buy a jeep but my father had a stroke and I'm not too sure if he will be able to hop in as easily as you did. He is only 5'3 and is hemiplegic on his right side. Any assistive devices that may help him get in?

@@BruceCookfmx looking to maybe get a 4xe , and its really important that my girlfriend can throw the chair out back when possible , its hard to see on video how big the cargo space is , i have to go for a test drive
@@bustamante30 i went out on a test drive and loved it , but once my chair is back there you cant even fit nothing else lol , so its definitely not for me lol , i have a rav4 prime on order and bought a 1999 4 runner to go up in the woods

I also load my chair in and out of jeep but factory lift only
