- Elvis Presley,In France,Paris June 1959 Fame and Fortune.June 13: Elvis receives a 15-day furlough and uses it to travel to Paris, ostensibly to meet film sexpot Brigitte Bardot. While there, he and his entourage take up a suite at the Prince De Galles Hotel (on the Champs Elysees) and visit the Moulin Rouge and also the Lido club, home of the famous dancers the Bluebell Girls. Elvis and company take some of the girls back to the hotel tonight, a practice they would continue throughout his leave.June 20: The Lido club management calls Elvis' hotel and demands that his entire chorus line be returned in time for tonight's show.
June 22: Vernon Presley, Elvis' father, returns to Memphis with Davada "Dee" Stanley, his new flame (who is still married to an Army Sergeant stationed in Friedberg).
June 28: Fearful of flying, Elvis spends $800 American on a limo to drive he and his companions back to the base in Germany

Had always heard the very same thing. Obviously that was untrue as here are the photos to prove. I've been to Paris and on the Champs-Élysées. This indeed is a photo of that venue/street. Many falsehoods are out there.

Il était sur place et il est venu plusieurs fois dans cet hotel a Paris du temps qu'il faisait son service militaire en Allemagne. Je ne comprends vraiment pas il n'a pas essayé de le voir ? Dommage saurais été j'en suis sûr une très belle rencontre ELVIS et JOHNNY POUR L'ÉTERNITÉ. MERCI À EUX POUR TOUTE CES BELLES CHANSONS MAIS SURTOUT POUR LE ROCK N' ROLL.
En juin 1959 Johnny était inconnu... en plus Elvis est venu incognito a Paris sans prévenir ....personne !!!.....Johnny sa première scène a eu lieu en Décembre 59 a Juan les pins .....

@@pedrobranco1526 Elvis est venu 2 fois a Paris juin 1959 et janvier 1960 ( 15 jours a chaque fois ) !!....et toujours " incognito " personne était au courant !!!....Johnny lui aussi ....il n'y avait pas internet ni de portable a cette époque ....Johnny était ou a ce moment ? ....peut être Paris , Belgique ou ailleurs !!....juste deux chanteuses on pu voir Elvis ....Line Renaud , Nancy Holloway et un chanteur Harold Nicolas....et quelques gens de passage .....plus les dirigeants de l'hôtel et au bout de quelques jours bien sur journalistes et photographes ....voila ....peut être que je t'ai appris quelque chose !!

The reason this video was never seen , it was said that Elvis never went anywhere other then Germany
So sad he didn't perform there or anywhere other than the u.s, canada and hawaii which is a state anyway. He would have sold even more records and, graceland says he has sold over 1 billion. I would say easy, if you consider that when he did the special 'aloha from hawaii' which was televised by satelite to over 2 billion people around the globe that maybe 1/3 of those people might have bought 1 Elvis record and, add what he had sold before that since he started in 56' and, then what he has sold since he died. I would say easily over 1 billion records. Now had he performed outside and, all over the place like all the other big performers have, he would have sold maybe 2 billion records then, who knows! Politicians campaign when they're running, there's no better publicity then to let the fans see you perform live. Parker made a big mistake with not letting EP perform overseas. There was the problem that Parker was illegal and, might not be able to get back in the country but hell, he could have sent him with a road manager but, then again he was not gonna share his golden goose. Elvis was a great singer when he was young and, had a great range and, phrased well and, could sing almost anything. He is the only musical act in 4 music hall of fames. Hell, I'd die happy just being in one[laugh]!
I am british and live in England. Elvis' impact on this island matches if not beats beatlemania in usa in 1964. The beatles went to number 1 in the states before they landed but i dont think they would of had the same impact. Like a british reporter said on hearing Elvis' death.. "As The Beatles were loved in America, Elvis Presley was worshiped in Britain"

As for Parker, yes, we all know about his illegal status. At the time, Elvis didn’t know. No one knew about Parker until the lawsuits against him in the ‘80’s when court findings revealed his true name and his illegal status. EPE won but Parker walked away with over a million dollars....if that doesn’t tell you that guy somehow always walked away with the money, nothing will! LOL 😆
