This was awesome! You must have had a wonderful vacation! Probably wouldn't be the same, but..wouldn't it have been great, if you had been allowed to go to the top floor and see where Elvis stayed? I'm very happy they let you film inside, though. It was such a beautiful place! When you were showing the picture of Elvis, at the news conference and reading what the gentleman had said, in his book...it gave me chills. I could just imagine being there. Thanks, Spa Guy...your work is very much appreciated!

Its still very interesting to me, how a man like Elvis who never left the united states, until he went to the army. And before that became so interested in French things. And even made Priscilla take French language lessons.
Its things like this that keep showing proof, of what was written in the book 'Are You Lonesome Tonight?' By Lucy De Barbin, the 16 year old American French girl Elvis met when he was 19 years old.

Spa Guy, Thank you for this great video. Such a breathtaking building. Intrigued that it still looks the same as it did when Elvis was there except for the floors I think. I would have loved to of been there for the interview Elvis done for the Press. Thankfull that Rex told us about the interview, and happy to be introduced to another one of Elvis's army friends. Didn't know who Rex was until you did this. I do remember hearing Charlie Hodge talking about getting a phone call from Lamar saying that Elvis wanted Charlie to see if he could get a 15 day leave from the army cause Elvis wanted to go to Paris. Charlie said that when they got to Paris it was early in the morning and that he and Elvis were sleepy but the others wanted to see the sunrise in Paris and one of them took a beautiful picture of the sunrise from the top floor. They spent 10 of the 15 days in Paris and Charlie said that people had began to tell Elvis that he could go out in Paris because people there didn t do Starz like they do in the United States. He said 'Boy were they wrong' Charlie said that Elvis and hImself had to run to a movie theater buy a ticket and call for someone to come to the back of the theater and pick them up in the Limo. Charlie said Elvis and I didn't try that anyone. Lol. Thanks again my friend for this beautiful video and for sharing the pictures of Elvis. God Bless.

Did you found the excellent book"Elvis In Paris"who wrote by the president of the Elvis french fan club.A new version will be available this month to celebrate the 60th anniversary of Elvis in Paris during his service.I'm so impatient to see parts 2 and 3.

The first print of this book was released in 1999,
all pictures of Elvis in Paris are in black and white.there is 160 pages and he is written in french and in english language.The new print is release with a CD and a Vinyl in add.

Such glamorous times in the late 50's anywhere in Europe. I bet Elvis loved it in France for the short time he was there. Elvis in his uniform at 2.14 into this video. Then look at Elvis at 4.06 into the video with a suit on and the tie. I wonder what design it had on it and i take it a white shirt. He just looked so BEAUTIFUL

Great film yet again! I sometimes get chills watching your films, they sometimes seem to catch a moment in time..such as the Humes High School film and walking across the bridge at Circle G ranch..Walking out into the mosaic courtyard was just such a moment..Fantastic work Spa Guy in bringing so many places to life that we've only read about. From a fan in the U.K. ps Are there any old venues/halls left that Elvis wouldve played in the mid fifties? I would dearly love to see you go walkabout with your camera around one of those..Kind regards Mike.
Yes Mike there are many venues left that I haven;t made it to yet but plan to.. Many in Texas especially are still around.. Stay Tuned..

Thank you Spa Guy for uploading this great video. Of course I heard about Rex Mansfield, he was Elvis' closest friend in the army. Elisabeth was in the car with Vernon when Vernon drove the car off the road. The car was yet to be found. I bet they have a lot to tell in their book. So cool you have met Rex and Elisabeth and got their signed book. I haven't read their book yet though, but I intend to. Lamar told about the club Lido in Paris were he was in love with a girl, but she was a he. Elvis laughed about that a lot. So nice of you to turn the spotlight on David the hotel worker, really nice of him to show you the courtyard wouw amazing, too bad they placed wood over such beautiful mosaic. Take care Spa Guy ❤️

On another note, there is this guy who's channel is Rockology who has done a video saying that Elvis had bought a 420 acres ranch for Vernon in 1974. The ranch is in Moscow, Tennessee.
