The King. It has been an honor, Yokozuna, to watch you fulfill your goal, your legacy, your destiny. Dai Yokozuna indeed.
Just as in January, I was shocked by just how much doubt the sumo community still has about it’s leading man, and once again, when in the shape he needs, he will win, flatly he will win. An absolute behemoth of a man, equal parts aggression and defense with excellent sumo sense uniting the two. Automatically my favorite to win the cup in every championship he’s in, and without a doubt my favorite man in the ring for many years now. I wrote nearly a year and a half ago after his 8th championship that I wouldn’t blame him at all if he retired. If I had known then that he would still be as dominant as he still is, this many months after, I would have been simply astounded, but now, all I can say is thank you, Teru, for some of the best sumo of our time. Your presence is forever welcome, for as long as that may be.

He has incredible grip strenght. He would be much more faster and explosive without those knee injuries. He still overcame everything and became a dai yokozuno. Much respect to terunofuji and his team 💪

He said he wanted to be 10 cups be a Dai Yokozuna. He's done it. I wonder what's next for him and how long his domination will last.

Honestly, probably as long as the sumo association lets him. He can take 1-2 whole tournaments off at a time and come back to destroy guys.

Maybe. His diabetes and knees are on their last legs as is... He already achieved his own goal despite his injury/health challenges.
He has nothing to achieve anymore and there is life after sumo too.
