  • This video details the stripdown of the Tanfoglio 1911 ball bearing CO2 airgun. As this gun is designed for higher power gas a lot of the internals are upgraded with stiffer springs and harder wearing parts and you cannot use airsoft items as replacements so be warned.
    Disclaimer:
I do not accept responsibility for anyone attempting to build and or modify any of the custom items mentioned within this video, you do so at your own risk. If your in anyway unsure please get a qualified Gunsmith to perform the work for you.
I hope you enjoyed the video and please stay tuned for further stripdowns, reviews and testing to come. Please remember guys and girls...
Stay sharp but stay safe ;-)

thank you so, so, so, so much man! i´ve been trying to fix my SWISS ARMS 1911 TRS for 6 months! i took it to the store, every single place where it was supposed to be fixed, no one had an answer, i just did every single thing you show in your video, my arm is now working just fine! the spring inside the hammer that hits the gas was loose, i had to put it back in place!
    wow! thank you bro!

OH, you are a life saver. Just today, I was field stripping my 1911 and somehow the blowback unit got jammed, so I had to disassemble that to fix it. Unaware, that little spring shot out and I had no idea where it had come from. I thought I had to buy a whole new part or something. Luckily, I found this video and was able to put everything back together.

April 3 2020 YAHOO!!!! my Colt Commander spits forth BBs as fast as you can pull the trigger (AGAIN)!! It was the mechanism shown at 36:00 , the spring had sprung .
I had watched this vid back in August when I bought my pistol , hoping to never need it , but was I glad to watch you fix it so easily. I will take it apart again soon to do a little "filing" and re-adjust a spring or two . Almost forgot ..........THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU !!!!

This video really saved my ass. I stripped mine because I wanted to polish in down and a spring from the hammer assembly went flying and I had no idea where or how it was to be installed. Thanks to this video I'm up and running again. TY :)

Been working on motorcycles and cars for 40 years and never reverse screwed a screw to make sure the threads align...and I've cross threaded a few...Not anymore...Such a simple tip that seems obvious...I've learned something new...Always learn something...Great strip video...Thanks for sharing...I've just bought this model after having the KWC luger for a couple months...By the way there's some great thick leather repo historical holsters in black, dark brown and golden brown for both M1911 and luger coming out of India at the mo around £25 - 30...Thick leather and well made...You can get them from UK sellers via eBay and Amazon...

Excellent video has really helped me service my KWC/Remington branded 1911 RAC bb pistol. As mentioned by Sauron 191 below there is a small spring on top of the trigger assembly in this model that sits just inside the frame and prevents the trigger unit from simply pulling out.
There are many other issues with these pistols. Quality is poor throughout due to low cost alloy metals used that wears rapidly. I have had to fix the safety catch/slide release bar back in place after it came loose (common problem on real steel 1911's apparently there is an expensive post flaring tool sold specially to fix this) I used a bent punch and superglue instead.
Next the plastic gas piston assembly played up but I obtained a replacement from Elite who sell some parts for this pistol. The barrel spring rubber washer wear out quickly.
Now after a few thousand bb's through it the firing mechanism 'misses' occasionally, that is on first trigger pull gun fires OK but then a second trigger pull seems to 'slip' past the sear or something instead of cleanly releasing the hammer so repeated trigger pulls are required. Is it something to do with a 'reset' mechanism sticking perhaps?
I striped it all down, again, but cannot really see what the problem is and would really appreciate some ideas on how to fix this.

Great video .... very helpful .... great job! Side note: If you need parts for the Air Venturi (USA Versions) just call the number in the manual. They set me up with what I needed for a very low price as my warranty had expired. I paid $20 including shipping which included a new spring for the piston, new cover that goes over the piston which contains the rocket thingie in there she called it and a white disc washer.

I have the Remington 1911RAC version of this, the only difference is, is that there is a tiny spring that fits on top of the trigger. I have stripped mine down as in this video, painted the slide, slide release, safety catch, hammer and frame flat matt black, polished the outer barrel to shiny steel and gloss black the grips, put it back together, works a dream and looks the nuts!!

LazoucheCustomshop: Great vids, very informative and extremely useful for novice 'gunsmiths' like me. I have a KWC/Remington 1911 RAC 4.5mm BB version which being new to airpistols I chose for the realism more than anything, (shame about the hideous white paint trades) actually put some tidy wood grips on to finish it of. Came to this vid due to the Plunger Tube assembly coming loose - common problem apparently - so needed detailed strip down to help me get to the tubes 'pins' inside the frame. which like a real steel are supposed to be flared out to make a tight fit. Decided the gun was not worth investing in the real 1911 tool for swagging those pins properly and mixed a combo of super glue and bent punch which seems to have done the trick - so far anyway!. If you ever have to fix loose plunger tubes on these KWC replica's it would be great to see your solution which I dare say would far neater.

Looks like KWC copied WA 1911 in some places. The frame looks almost the same, minus the sear pin hole. And the Hop Up unit looks almost the same. I think with modification, you could fit a whole KWC barrel assembly in a WA.

Where can you order a new hammer & assembly? I've recently adjusted my grip safety /sear spring & it looks like the part of that leaf spring has worn into the underpart of the hammer where it touches. Sometimes I'm getting a failure to feed or fire & I think the hammer maybe the issue. I've ran 10,000 bbs through mine. Although after adjusting tension the grip safety no longer rattles & I've had less failures.

Great video. I just got two of these 1911 airgun, since they all had problems, so I google it first on how to strip it down.
Perhaps I could ask some help to before disassembly those airguns :
    1. The first 1911 airgun had problem on the hammer that didn't punch the gas valve.
    2. the second one is that the magazen always fell-off/pushed-out when shooting with BBs loaded, but not if the magz is empty/no BBs .
Would you give me clues on what happen with those airguns & how to fix it ?
    Thank you. Regards

Can you tell me where i can acquire a replacement slide WITHOUT the barrel etc BUT with a the blowback system in it?? The barrel, barrel spring, recoil spring etc are all fine, it's just the slide casting and the blowback system that's faulty ... Can you help me??

  • @thisisbadstuff
    @thisisbadstuff 7 ปีที่แล้ว

It being a ball bearing gun has nothing to do with the materials used. It's essentially just a regular KWC airsoft 1911 GBB retrofitted to work with steel ball bearings. It's the same cast zinc alloy used in any other GBB pistol. This pisotl WILL beat itself to death, rather quickly in fact. First, the issue with the safety. It works fine out of the box, but after only a dozen or so cycles you'd run into that issue. You know you have problems when you can flip the safety up with the hammer down. This is because the peg that holds the sear in place gets bent. You can either ignore the issue, or keep bending it back until it breaks. What happens next is the hammer gets caught at the bottom of the blow back housing unit. This is because due to the rapid deformation of the associated trigger control parts, the angle at which the hammer cocks becomes more acute. You can try rounding out the top of the hammer so the bump at the BBU rides over the hammer. But what'll eventually happen you can't do anything about. The shoulders that retain the nozzle to the BBU will get worn down, until a point at which the edges on the seal cup clears the nozzle and gets blown out and gets crushed by nozzle on the return stroke resulting in a jam after every shot. What happens next is you realise CO2 and pot metal zinc alloy don't mix and you chuck it in the garbage.

Im sorry but it is a BB GUN bb stands for ball bearing and it says bb right on the box steal bb,s but i guess the company making the guns doesnt know as much as you do since they only manufacture it and you review it so that makes you the expert lol......

sportster davidson It can also stands for 'ballistic ball' which is what airsoft is (confusing but true) and as pretty much all my videos are for 'airsoft' then I wanted to make that clear to my patrons at the start of the video. Thank you for the criticism but next time watch the sarcasm it's not a good way to strike up a congenial conversation ;-)

Bobel Eksen Nope, they airsoft parts won't take the strain of the higher pressures used.

Its not a bb gun but it shoots steal BALL BEARINGS um im sure bb stands for ball bearings hey but what do i know i only own 8 guns that i used to call bb guns but now i dont know what to call them im sure thier not toys so cant call them toy guns and im sure their not air soft hmmm dont want to call them air guns thats just confusing , fuck it i will just buy pellet guns from now on i dont want to sound like i dont know what im talking about when i tell people thier bb guns .

Yes I agree it is very confusing these days but the airsoft bb gun type is short for ballistic ball. The high power metal bb gun type is short for ball bearing as you rightly state. I would just stick with calling them 'metal bb guns' and if airsoft just 'bb guns'.
With how the world is these days nothing makes sense anymore ;-)
