The pork lard adds a magical taste to KL Hokkien mee, makes me crave to have it soon! 😋
Yes it does!
Yes, the pork lard is the key ingredient although I hate it and would remove the lards from the dish every I ate it. I know I was stupid but...
As someone who ate at this stall this growing up (since early 2000s) best combo is mee hoon and the thick noodles
Solid
The amount of food you can consume in 1 sitting, always baffles me, each time. Please do more food overseas, if you can.
Yeah for sure!
mr neo i just started watching you and i want to say i enjoy your casual style… never change bro. everyday life is so busy that sometimes we forget to take it easy. your videos help me escape from the stress. please consider coming to sarawak for food videos!!
Awesome vid as always. Keep it up zermatt. Keep smashing them plates!
Hello Zermatt, I feel intrigued by your amazing food recommendation videos, the food looks so flavourful. 😊
Once again a video worth watching! Food looked great and will now be my inspiration for dinner tonight! Keep up the good work and thank you for your awesome personality that shines through your smile. You got the " It" factor as I would describe you! Take care and look forward to many more delicious dishes you choose to share with us!
Thank you so much Donna!
Been waiting for this episode bro. Noice … ya charcoal and non charcoal hokkien noddle really Heaven n earth difference. Glad u enjoyed it towards the end haha. Unlimited pork lard is crazy 😂
Hahaha yeah was struggling towards the end but solid
Incredible video Zermatt you made that look easy the food looked good and I would definitely try it .
🙌🙌
Great video Zermatt, KL Hokkien Mee looks so good! I wish I could have been there to try a dish! The sad thing is this dish is not available in Toronto but seeing the dish, people and culture because of you, makes me want to come and visit very fast. Thank you Zermatt and I look forward to seeing your next video!
Thanks bud!
@@ZermattNeo you're welcome.
Noodles glistening, looks oily... was wondering when coke will come in. Finally appeared during plate 18... well done Zermatt😊
Tbh not oily at all
Wow. I just don’t know how you do it. You make it look easy but I know it is a challenge to eat that much. Great job 👏
Thank you so much 🤗
Awesome video Zermatt. The food looks tasty.
This looked so good!! I love noodles. Can’t wait for you to come to America.
Noodles look firm and you tasty, always supporting zermatt and team in all your challenges... :)
Looks so delicious. Envy your access to awesome menus. 😊
Oh nooo more people will know about it 😅 it’s my go-to Hokkien Mee place! 🤭
HAHAHA 🙌🙌
i think the reason why singapore zi char stalls version is wet, is because they got no time to let the noodles soak in the gravy. one of the stall assistant told me they don't sell KL hokkien mee during peak hours because it takes some time to cook it properly.
Pork Lard is a must hahaha! Enhance the taste by over 9000! Enjoy!!
We agree!
damn solid!! 3 days back to back of food challenges.
idk how you do it, but do take care of your health as well!!
For sure! I diet for a full week after this lol. Lots of fasting but I'm ready for my taiwan trip on weds!
@@ZermattNeo早點休息!期待Z帥明天的到來🤗
I tried black and still prefer white. Tried KL style but still like the SG white one.
Actually if I were to pick one - it's sg version for me la lol
I’m hungry… I tried KL Hokkien mee at one of the Zhi char place opp West Coast Plaza. I loved it.
🤤
So good!
Wah really very nice! I just went there 1 hour ago!! Tried normal and mixed bee hoon. Both nice!!! Must follow zermatt food trail now... ❤❤❤❤
Found you from Kilo, so glad I did! Subscribed
Great choice bro 👍sometimes I drop by there after gym nearby 🤣 a spoonful of noodles, pork lard and a bit of sambal... best combination
good one, the usual spot for PJian 😋
Indeed it is!
Next trip to KL can try Ah Yap Sentul Hokkien Mee go to the main branch or Kin Kin Chilli Pan Mee
Awesome stuff and effort.
.more Daphne!!!!!!
More to come!
Eating my dinner my while watching this makes my food more delicious 😋 😅
The usual style is to eat with sambal chilli. But I bucked this trend n eat with pickled green chillies. The sweet n sour chillies really complements the salty smoky noodles. Recommend to try out this combo.
Blk 29A ghim moh link- the cher cha makes a good KL hokkien mee. The best..
Good choice 👍🏻 This is the best stall ❤
Yay!
My all time favourite noodle. Never have the beehoon version before
Never clicked a video so quickly!
Heh 🙌🙌
💯👍👍👍,看了很有食欲,面,米粉😊😊😊,年轻小老板很友善👍👍👍
哈哈真的挺好吃的
Good honest review
this is the store i would’ve brought u too haha. u have some authentic malaysian friends 🤣
Will try the bee hoon version ! 🤤Am a fan of the thick noodles
Try it! No regrets!

Happy birthday🎉🎉🎉
Looks v gd & tasty. Give additional plate of pork lat. Another power show by zermatt. Do they hv mee tai mak.
Bro, if you have the chance. Go to this place in outskirt KL, Restoran Shang Kee (Ulu Yam Lor Mee). I’m from SG and this is the best ever authentic KL Hokkien mee & Lor mee ever. It 30 mins drive to Genting too!
No wonder in Singapore zhi char stall , they actually named this KL mee...
Only after watching this video then i know it's actually really from KL 😅😅😅
Watching till the end, the legendary coke zero came in view😊😊😊
(Coke endorsement!!!! Where are you???😢😢😢
YES GIMME THAT ENDORSEMENT 😭
This hokkien mee looks sooooo good! It's different with SG ones.
Yeah both is good la
To be honest most of zhichar at coffeeshop they do sell KL hokkien mee. I feel it damn delicious, whenever i go to zhichar to make a take away now a days i keep ordering KL hokkien mee
新加坡的福建麵和馬来西亞的福建麵真的不一样,新加坡的福建麵是白色,馬来西亞的福建麵是黑色,各有各的特色,大家的口味都不同,倆种口味真的都好吃,谢谢帥哥分享.
There’s another AhWa Hokkien Mee nearby 5 mins away at Paramount. Try that! It’s my default.
Ah finally see you making your video here, did you tapao some back? 😄
Yes I did
馬來西亞的食物看起來都很好吃
下次去玩哈哈
Awesome job
Thank you! Cheers!
U ARE FANTASTIC ZERMATT👏💪👍
I hope you can eat everything in broadway in 334 sembawang close.
Perhaps u should do a special edition of after the “cut cut cut cut” 😂😂😂
I miss my hokkien me in KL 😍😍😍😍
Seems like Malaysians really love this. What's it made of?
Just fried noodles with pork slices, shrimp but cooked to perfection
Try nasi pengilan weh. Food serves during malay matrimonial ceremony. Kampung style is the best one!
Next time!
There is another good Hokien mee stall in Uptown shophouse
eh, when u came KL??? was also thinking of bring u there also. hahaha
看來要排時間再去一趟星馬了🤤
10:58
Camera man zoomed to the pretty lady at the back
- u da best 🥹
I wonder if Zermatt prefers SG style or KL style?
OMG You were so near my place!!
Hahaha 🙌🙌
Hokkien meehoon typically uses the thicker type of meehoon (粗米粉)
Their beehoon a bit special no joke
Zermatt I dunno the restaurant at Kitchener road one is still open that one is one of the best Hokkien mee I have try
This one v different! Sweeter and less gravy
@@ZermattNeo I mean the Hokkien mee style is the same as you try the KL one but not sweet
haha yes one of the best in KL. just note that the small plates of pork lard are chargeable...
Oooooh they gave me for free sia lol
i just realize i havent try this version of hokkien. normally the one i try more black sauce, different mee.
Thick beehoon. We usually order mixed beehoon mee.
Malaysian fried hokkien mee needs the sambal belachan for an extra kick!
The words coming outta your mouth sounds tasty too😂
haha after that first bite i wasn't sure if you liked it or not. what do you do if you take a first bite and hate it during a food challenge and you see how many more plates are in front of you?
I am always amazed how much you can eat. Respect for that. The only thing what you can try to pay attention to is your english language. I am sorry but sometimes I hardly cannot understand what you are saying. Especially when you’re talking during eating. But for the rest..keep on going!
Hey Zermatt , im actually curious , u eat alot of portions when youre doing challenges like these. But what happens behind camera when you are just having your breakfast/lunch/dinner? do you eat this much as well or just like us normal humans ? xD
Nice video
Thanks!
nice
Thanks
should also try the kuey teow version hehehe syiok also
Got such thing?!
Yes there is. Kuay teow with an egg yolk on top. My favourite.
@@ZermattNeo got lei.. hokkien kuey teow, same like the thick noodles or the bee hoon but kuey teow version brada
Ahhhhh so many plates will get cold.
Won't la. I eat fast 🤞
How many are you eating, U're still not need a drink right.. 🔥🔥🔥
Only the first few plates near you is up to standard by sight , the ones nearer to the camera are wet .. those you find in Singapore Zi Cha trying to emulate won’t do because they don’t have the time it takes to dry up the noodle of all the essence of the stock they’re cooked in .
PLS EAT DLAKSA ITS MY FAV FOOD
San low bee hoon is also on the chewier side
第一的👍👍👍
🙌🙌
@@ZermattNeo 🙌🙌🙌❤️❤️❤️

first
Dai lok mee!
Yes sir
I love you ❣️
💯
Ah shit, my secret place is out! 😂
Lmao this one not secret sir 😂 crowded af
this is MY hokkien mee. i suppose SG version is XING JAO MAI what we call in cantonese
The chilli seem like 粿汁or蚝煎chilli
The sambal call "chili garam"
The noodles are all broken up ! 😮
😋😋😋👍💪
🤞🙌
❤❤❤❤👍👍👍👍👍
❤️❤️❤️
Looks delicious but it’s got to be hard to rest the same plate over and over again. Very impressive still ☺️
No belacan sambal to go with the Hokkien mee?
It's right there bro, I added quite a bit lol
@@ZermattNeo Ohhh ok, sorry missed that.
I love sg hokkien mee. But KL hokkien mee is like a different dish. No need to compare. There are great KL hokkien mee but it is overall more oily.
How do you remain looking so good when you're eating and sweating so much? This is the real secret #nohomo
Btw, camera man knows what he's doing at 10:59
