This tutorial starts right after you launch the game for the first time. I try my best to walk you through the next steps from hab to hangar and completing your first mission.
I'm going to be doing mini-series tutorials explaining things in greater detail.

Holy shit this is BY FAR the best beginner's guide I've seen. Thank you so much.
So many of the Star Citizen youtubers will call their video something like "BEGINNERS GUIDE CURRENT YEAR" and then have 40 minutes of stream of consciousness with ships that are bigger and better than what you have and ends up teaching you almost nothing.
The showing the keyboard shortcuts on screen must have been annoying to edit together (from my experience but maybe I did it wrong lol), and it's a nice touch. Kudos :)

I cant seem to finish the initial tutorial , it wants me to fly to a couple of "checkpoints" in New Babbage, but when i fly to them im not sure what to do next? I see 3 markers on the ground, am i supposed to park in between those markers facing a certain way? It wont let me access my ship until i figure this out. Please help!
You should be able to set your Gpu to run most if not all of the game on the card itself Through your cards software. Nvidia makes that easy to do. Makes a world of difference in playability. But for lower end systems it’s tough going.
I have a Gforce 3060, 32g ram, AMD Ryzen 5 with SSD drives. Runs good.
Been playing for a few years now, it still has major issues, but is at least playable now. Still fall through floors, loses connection and then you lose all your cargo.
New glitch is coming into Hurston Loriville spaceport, get close and then game puts you into the port hallway by the hangers. Thankfully your ships still have whatever you were carrying….mostly. But coming into Loriville with 1.5mil cargo is a bit scary lol.
And what’s up with Area18? Why do they make it sooo hard to find the port??
the way i explain gfx settings is
it's asking about gpu utilization so high is put as much as possible on the gpu and low is cpu

Good video! Tried this game in the past, not too many hours, but I logged back in a few months later, and everything was gone. :( Do they still have forced resets?
Big resets are not common anymore, typically any wipes are rep/ammo stuff like that. You keep ships bought in game and the such. Might have a big wipe coming soon with the next major patch but it’s only like once a year now
I think now they only do big wipes when they do huge updates. I know when they went to persistence in 3.18 everything got wiped, and I am pretty sure they wiped when Pyro came.

A good SSD and more than 16gb RAM are definitely needed.
I was struggling with RTX 3080, i7-12500 and 16gb RAM…. But the first thing I did was lower graphics so ima try to put it to high and hopefully that will help.
