  • By a sweet blessing, I met a lady who has heaps of Eucalyptus growing in her back yard! She let me pick some for my sister's bridal shower and now I'm drying the leaves for tea and for decorations so that I can make a Christmas garland later this year!

    You read my mind!!! I love this. I actually want to grow Eucalyptus for these types of purposes (also many more). You're so creative, I love it.

      I’m growing eucalyptus for the same reason.. decorations mainly but tea is a good benefit also. My eucalyptus is teeny tiny right now, but one day…!!
      Do you know if it grows well in your area?

      About a eucalyptus plant for the summer and put it in a pot outside. I just brought it in for the winter because it will die.

    Oh great information this video was definitely pleasant to watch and I am encouraged. I went to my local Caribbean market and found some eucalyptus and now I just need ideas on what to do with it and you definitely motivated me. Thank you mama!❤

    It's a shame I didn't know about making tea with the leaves. There was a street lined with these trees where I used to live.. I'll have to try it sometime but I'll have to buy it now. (I checked real quick as I paused the video. Google warned that eucalyptus essential oil is toxic but the leaves are safe.) Thank you for sharing.

      Thank you for your comment, pleased to meet you! I’m surprised at Google’s warning for the essential oils. It appears that the essential oils is toxic for consumption (probably because it is so concentrated) but I’m glad to see that it is safe for aromatherapy. Fascinating! I’m happy you brought it up!

      What is that heart shaped leaf she held up before the eucalyptus leaves?

    the music is too loud for persons with bad hearing. it has Terpenes that's all-round medicinal support that has been known to work on many cancers.

    • @mountainvalleyrefuge
      @mountainvalleyrefuge  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hi, thanks for writing in to let me know! I will keep the music lower for upcoming videos. And thanks for sharing some insight! I did some more reading and see that Terpenes is found in some other essential oils too. Glad you brought it up!

      Hey Emina, they were in the oven on the lowest temperature (which for us is 170F). I don’t remember how long exactly but until the leaves snap easily between your fingers :)

    Hello there,
    I have silver dollar eucalyptus leaves without the stem, can you please advise what would be the best method to preserve them, so they can last and not become brittle and change colour.( I wouldn’t need it for tea, but I would like to sell my product)
    Thank you
    EMI

    • @mountainvalleyrefuge
      @mountainvalleyrefuge  ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi Emi,
      I dried my silver dollar eucalyptus in this video, which does make it brittle enough to snap and lightened its colour. I’m not sure how you could preserve it in a way that wouldn’t cause it to become brittle, but I hope you’re able to find another resource.

    This could have been a better video, if I had been able to (hear) you properly. You played the music (louder) than you spoke. If you are going to use your calming voice, then you need to (lower) your music.
