So, how do you actually fix a pin hole leak in the liner in a freezing cold pool. They typical patch/glue doesn't seem to like the freezing temps very much. Help!
If the surface is flat it isn’t usually a problem the suction from the leak will help hold the patch down if it’s a tear in a wrinkle it can be a challenge

Just curious I have a leak in my vinyl liner in ground pool and was wondering what ate the most common issues when it comes to leaks that you run into? The light fixture area? Or pinholes in the liner?? Mine has fiberglass steps and I know there’s a leak where the liner transitions to the steps in the bottom corner that I need to address. Great video by the way. Gives us DIYers confidence to tackle this stuff ourselves! Thanks…
I follow the dirt piles usually the holes hold the dirt to them ever use leaktronics electronic leak detector takes som getting used but it works helps out when the pools cold as crap a little faster at times. Someone didn't measure very good for that liner i jave pool with auto covers and 12 year old liners no wrinkles, those looked like slack wrinkles especially on the floor too much liner to begin with i suspect . Do use an air hooka for air or a tank i use a hooka system. Nice vid 🖖🤟✌️👍
I used to use the vinyl leak detector but the time to set up and have to dive anyways I just hop in and the wrinkles are caused by having an auto cover and a heated pool over time the liner will stretch you will not see that on a pool with no auto cover.
nice video i have a small leak but i can t find it , i just let it umpty and it seems to stop now what do i do?, it s an above pool,.so normaly the.leak is at the same.level.right?
Unfortunately the leak will never stop at the leaking point due to the lack of hydrostatic pressure. What type of pool do you have and how much leakage per day? Also fill to operational level and try a 24 hour off the 24 hour on test if leaks the same on or off it’s in the structure

I can't afford to hire someone to find my leak. It's a metal walled 27' above ground pool. Loosing a half inch a water per day. Have any recommendations for a poor man method to finding it? I tried using food dye..... I turned my hands red was the result.

Thanks for sharing! I had a pool leak as well , trying to baby it until I can afford a new liner.
Call around for leak detection prices I make that problem go away for $325 in my area!

Brand new18x36 inground installed and filled with water , lost about two inches in a week , where would you start ? Thanks
Light? And I assume it’s a liner pool??
@@hoosierleakguy4565 yes it is a vinyl liner
I would start at the bottom corners of the step and side ladder gasket inside corners and bottom and then the light ..

I do located a few light leaks a week at the conduit but really depends on the time of year right now lots of pool parties so lots of liner patching
How much water would be lost in say a 12 hr period with just that pinhole leak? 1/2 inch/1/4 or more?
Prob a good 1/4” because of the location at the bottom of the wall
That liner has a million wrinkles in it, no wonder they are getting holes. Great job.
Common issue having a heated pool and an auto cover!
Wait...this ISN'T Opie from Sons of Anarchy? 🤔

Follow the bottom of the wall around the pool with some good goggles especially where the steps set!

I totally get it im not very good at trying to film just showing what it takes to find a leak and showing that most leaks aren't super obvious

Usually after a liner install and the pool is leaking I find the leak in the light nitch at the conduit or the bottom step or side ladder gasket

is that much wrinkles in the liner normal? I am researching vinyl pool and this scared me. Thanks in advance for replying
wrinkles can be caused by chemicals not being allowed to breath with an auto cover or even a liner leak
