I like that’s there’s not a clear canonical answer to why Joker is in this game, or more accurately, he gives multiple answers, but they’re all conflicting with one another. He’s either a alternate version from another Earth, a fear-toxic-induced hallucination, or he was revived by Nekron, a personification of death in DC. Joker gives multiple answers, but we don’t know which one is true, if any. Which is how the Joker likes it.
Spoiler warning for the Injustice comic series
I'm pretty sure this Joker is from an alternate universe where things were normal (as much as normal can get in the DC universe). Batman needed to summon the aid of another version of the Justice League (minus Superman) in order to unlock a weapon capable of taking down Superman, the one he found was in the middle of battling the Joker but seeing as how he didn't have much time decided to teleport everyone from the battlefield into the Injustice universe, including the Joker. The Joker in the Injustice 2 game is most probably that Joker.
@@nobodys_here07 he could be, but at the same time, that joker was sent back( after getting whooped by Injustice Harley). In the story mode, he is a fear toxin hallucination, but in intro all those answers he gives could be right or wrong.

Last time I saw prime earth joker was him getting sent back to his earth. So most likely could be a scarecrow hallucination on people or another earth most likely.

Yep, without the Joker, Harly’s Psyche is a lot more stable (even with a few loose ends). As for the Joker, my guess is the news and gossip about The Joker levelling the entirety of Metropolis would have most likely signaled to every part of the Virtual World, I have to hand it, Joker is definitely trying to make his name and villainry go down in as much history as Hitler’s.
