What a treat to be able to go inside and view the process of bringing life to a Grand Seiko timepiece. As an owner of a Grand Seiko SBGA-413G, "Spring" model, I thank those who are responsible for bringing this work of art to life.
What a treat! A common denominator amongst everyone at Grand Seiko is their quest for perfection and the wish that their costumers can wear the watches they make for many years with the certainty that it will perform flawlessly.
Grand Seiko watches are awesome. But look at the honor roll : no foreign workers or women here, as in every Japanese company. Japan was at the cutting edge of technology but has backwards social principles => no main invention the last decades. This country loses political influence and economical power year after year due to old-think that holds it back.
What a different Shizukuishi-Watch Studio compared to the old one I visited during winter 2011! Obviousely they also focus on more visitors to the Studio. When I visited them in 2011, it was just a pure factory with only little things to attract visitors. Even though my visit was a great experience and I will never forget it, I wish I can visit them again in the near future!
