These are all such important things! It took me a long time to learn this after growing up in an abusive family, Young people, make a conscious effort to do all these things and things will change immensely for you. Much of it is hard to do when you have low self esteem, when you are in defensive mode. Doing all these things will build an emotional force field around you.
Its crazy how most people downplay the importance of dealing with people in life, just look at how many people have watched in an hour. Im glad i actively try do to these things everyday and i know success is creeping at my door
All those boxes are checked...and Especially the Last One. I have to ask names frequently and that's not good...I have good memories in some things, but names I forget. I have to work on it... Thanks for the video, I appreciate it
Alux is THE BEST motivator! With their inspirational words and guidance, I've transformed my life. I've overcome obstacles, set ambitious goals, and achieved things I never thought possible. I've even started my own TH-cam channel to share my investment strategies and motivational journey. Thanks, Alux, for being my source of motivation!
I highly recommend serial entrepreneur and investor Gary Vaynerchuk's book 12.5 and pay attention to his own journey through candid KINDNESS as I also have struggled with that. The great Dale Carnegie stressed REMEMBER NAMES!
When i was in the military it was always about the guys by my side not me, now in the civilian world, people are full of shit. It never seems worth it 👎👈👎
That last one hit home for me. I'll give someone 2 opportunities to remember my name, there WILL NOT be a 3rd time. That "I'm not good with names" rhetoric is TOTAL BS, people remember who they want to remember. The ONLY way anyone will get my name after that point is if you hear someone else say it. I'm not introducing myself to the same person 50 times.

I wish there's subject like this in college, so everyone don't have to go through the unnecessary trial and error process and create so many embarrassing moment due to lacking knowledge of social etiquette.
I have the amnesia-non-weed-shit that i ask their names several times and repeat it several times for better remembering/association... That helps them remember my name better and me theirs... Just à tip...
Under promise and over deliver. Nobody got mad if they got more than expected. On the other side: don't over promise or you will get the reputation of being unreliable.
DO NOT keep saying a person's name repeatedly! I know it's taught in all the sales training programs that it's the right thing to do. It sounds so phony and it's annoying. People keep repeating this "rule" over and over. I was in sales for 10 years and never followed this. A new co-worker, fresh out of company training, said a customer's first name repeatedly until the customer said "are you trying to remember my name or do you think I don't know my own name"?
Agreed. It does sound forced and phony. I have over 150 people below me. I can't possibly remember all of them, especially with employees leaving and coming on board constantly
