    It turned out beautiful. Thank you for not painting it. So many people jump to paint furniture, without seeing the beauty of the natural wood.

    Great job man. You don't have to apologize about the P/L (profit/loss) breakdown; call it, "full disclosure" if you wish, but this is a free market society. Be proud of those numbers.
    Your real fans will understand what you're saying. The ones that don't want to work and don't pay taxes may fault you, but that's jealousy.
    You do you! You're great at it!

    Beautiful table, nice work! Trivia: the song at about 13:10 minutes in...he is singing in swedish "I'm a lone sailor, far from swedish straits, I'm gonna celebrate x-mas here on Hawaii" (old Swedish sailors song "Sjömansjul på Hawaii"). Who knows, the table may be danish...or swedish, pretty similar style :p

    That is 100% Rosewood, without a doubt. It offers some of the richest grain you’ll ever see, especially when oiled and waxed. Most of those Danish dining tables were mass produced from Teak, so getting a Rosewood one with continuous veneer right down the line is very rare.

    If you come into stains of any kind, you also can use sillic acid, I think that what ya call it, lol Asillic? Anyways you leave it on according to directions. Must wash off with lots of water. It bleaches out the stains. But you MUST use it on the whole top not one spot. If that helps in the future.

    • @CedarPineDesigns

    I got a bit of a shock when I saw this, because I've got one of these tables! Had it since new. But its currently disassembled in pieces, because the top needs some tlc, like yours but not as bad!
    FYI, I don't think the leaves on yours were in original condition, as the leaves on mine are in v.g.c. and have a shine/sheen to them.
    I was going to have a go at the 'renno' myself, but after watching this, I'm scared to now! 🙄 Perhaps I should get someone who knows what they are doing?🤑Any thoughts gratefully received👍

      Thank you so much. I do Facebook and Craigslist but I also have a little list of clients that I show stuff to and that’s how I sold this table

    Замечательный простой стол, но меня не удивляет, что дополнительная часть выдвижной столешницы редко использовалась. Эти крылья при выдвижении очень капризны к малейшему перекосу. Плохо держат нагрузку и если при большом застолье поставить тяжёлое блюдо или облокотиться на этот край - можно устроить катастрофу :)

      Thank you so much. The leaves are actually very sturdy on this design. As you put downward pressure of the leaves, the supports for the put upward pressure on a fixed brace in the middle. Super solid

    I really appreciate your channel.. I have a handful of mid century danish, design, pieces of furniture in my home that I want to restore. I started with our round dining table and was told that if I continue to sand I will ruin the veneer . I have water marks, and some spots of discoloration, do you recommend I strip it with a chemical or can I continue to just go with higher sandpaper? I have used 120 so far but there are still a few marks and I’m afraid to go further with any sanding.

    • @CedarPineDesigns
      @CedarPineDesigns  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Do not sand to much. Try a chemical called oxalis acid and remember to not use it on spots but rather the whole surface.

    Can I ask what your best selling techniques are? As in do you sell local, Facebook marketplace, online, word of mouth? Where do you suggest starting if I’m a complete beginner?

    • @CedarPineDesigns
      @CedarPineDesigns  ปีที่แล้ว

      I started out selling on Facebook marketplace and Craigslist, offer up and any other local selling platforms. Instagram is a good one as well cause you can keep a portfolio of stuff you’ve done and get potential clients from there as well
