Hey Steve good video, I surprised they have not used a old 707 gauge panel would at least get the plane to KC-135E version. As KC-135R has a semi glass cockpit with old engine gauges with digital readout on steam gauge too. With FMS from Boeing like 737 and others. KC-135R uses a large crew. Pilot, CO Pilot, Crew Chief, Boomer, sometimes long duty Engine, Hydraulic, Avionic Technicians. KC-135R hauled cargo by big cargo door in front of left wing like other cargo planes. And was a tanker and convert to a hospital plane bringing troops from Mideast to get treated at Ramstein Air Base in Germany too. Did many deployments on KC-135 D, E & R models. Take care and Enjoy.
Just recently flew the E6B-Mercury from Atlanta (ATL) to Birmingham (BHM) and it was awesome! So happy to see the whole series out as the E6B is one of my favorite planes.
The reason the cockpit is like that is because the creator doesn’t want to merge a different cockpit because it makes the boom and drouges inoperable I think
Hi - just to clariy here it is because this is not something that is supposed to be a realistic or accurate rendition of the -135. It was a dev testbed that we made public after many requests. Cockpit was not and is not meant to be close to the -135's, and the systems are not at all like what they should. Had we more time to work on it, a new, accurate, cockpit could be modelled, but that is outside this specific project's scope.
@@DeltaSimulations ok thanks the guy who made it I’ve spoken to a couple a times thought he said if he merged a cockpit it would make it so the boom and what not won’t work maybe was talking about a different project.
I would absolutely love to fly these aircraft. So exciting. But when I tried, I could not bear that it is so nonfunctional. Can't do squat with it. Never going to be able to take it on a network when you can't even tune the damn radio - never mind navigation. I *REALLY* hope someone puts a team together to actually make functional military aircraft.
@gervanwilliams1409 bc it was a test... you're among the minority that's is thinking in a negative way on this plane. It's honestly really good for the states that it's in... unless you prefer the MSsecnery kinda look which they are hot trash.
@@StevesSimStation thanks for informing me that it’s a test. I miss that part. Don’t get me wrong, I respect DeltaSims. I have the C-17. I downloaded the KC-135 today and may have missed the captions about the test.

no fmc in dis?
@@French28Pilot no this was a test plane from Delta
Why would they release this for download without the cockpit in a usable state?

And to think MSCENERY wants 15 dollars for an aircraft 70 time worse than thisb
@Dom1xel yea they put out hot garbage... all they want is that money.
