Thanks a lot. It s a piece that s been found on Nicks' real to real home tapes. It s never been recorded in a studio. You can find bootlegs albums where it s featured though. Try to look for "A day gone by" which feature lots of home recording stuff from Nick, including this sketch piece that s been named by fans Far Leys.
I don't know that I've seen a prettier guitar than that. The only one I can think of that comes close is a Lowden that's for sale at my local music store. I desperately want it, but $5k for a guitar right now seems a little irresponsible xD
No unfortunately I don't have the tab. You're correct saying that all tabs are not really accurate. That's why I learnt it by ear, carefully listening to all the little details to reproduce it as close as possible to the original. Many Nick Drake' songs our there don' t really have spot on tabs too, so it's a lot of work to figure them out and play them correctly.
@@Jason_Music Have you heard Work In Progress No. 1 & No. 2 (also known as Brittle Days I & II) before? If not, here is the link to all seven works in progress (including Work In Progress No. 5, Far Leys), th-cam.com/video/EX6ZJDFS-8U/w-d-xo.html. The audio quality could be better--there are other versions of varying quality--but there are almost no covers of either song (especially No. 2 (Brittle Days II)). How Nick made it sound always baffles me, and I would love for you to tackle it!
@@chutemai6819Yes I've heard them before. The first one sounds and has many similar chords as "Things Behind the Sun", the second one probably never became song of his. I have some other Nick Drake song coming up including Things Behind The Sun. It takes quite a lot of time to study the pieces and really reproduce them accurately. But why not add this first sketch while I'm at it.
Wow, beautiful job, absolutely perfectly played. Best cover of this I've seen on TH-cam.
Thanks a lot. More to come from Nick Drake :)
fantastic performance. made my day
Very nice!
so good! using this video for reference to learn it myself, you play it flawlessly
Thanks ! Hope it helps you out. I tried to be as close as possible from the original version of Nick
Truly excellent. Well done. Alot of practice to get that down so well.
Thanks. A version on my Baritone guitar is coming up soon. It sound great on it.
Bravo Jason !!!
Great Jason
Hey great cover! This is a Nick Drake song that I hadn't come across before, is it on Spotify?

Tuning would be great to know. Many thanks :-)
DADGAD
A little fast but apart from that, astoundingly good.

Would you happen to have a tab for this piece? I've found a few tabs, but they aren't nearly as accurate as what you've played here
