    I have a chef wave machine too. I just made pumpkin seed milk using the macadamia nut feature. My only concern about the machine is how effective it is for deep cleaning. I often wipe down the top inside of the machine (the part the food goes in) after it’s gone through its auto cleaning. Although I can’t clean beneath the machine well because there is no way to open it at the bottom. I have felt some reside in the spout even after the auto cleaning is done. Do you have any suggestions in how to best clean this machine even after the auto cleaning function is done? Also, I didn’t know one can put dates in the machine so I will definitely try that next. I thought it was just for nuts and seeds. Thank you for the education!

      Hi Vinh, as far as I know there is no auto brew button but there is an auto clean button. You can, however set it up for a delayed start, like if you want it set up for the morning to brew fresh just set it for as many hours that you need to. Hope this helps answer your question. Where does all the chopped up bits go? like the "pulp" i guess? In other machines you need to use a nutbag or strainer, but I didnt see you do that with this one. Or is there just some chunks of nuts in the milk still at the end?

    • @christinesroutines
      @christinesroutines  ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi Chris! There is no pulp of any sort. It all gets rinsed away with the auto-clean cycle and the rest is in the nut milk! (Believe it or not!) That was one of the reasons I bought this machine! Minimal cleanup, unlike the Almond Cow or Nut'r machines. After the clean cycle runs I just wash the parts and dry and you are ready to go another round if you'd like!! I hope this helps answer any questions! Let me know if you need anything else! Hi Christine. I was wondering, can you tell me if there is any further heating necessary for soya milk - if you've tried it for soya? Also, have you ever tried making yoghurt from the result? That would be my main purpose to purchase this machine. Many thanks.

      Hi there, I haven’t tried to make soy milk but all I know is that I use my filtered, room temperature water and there is no need to heat it up. The machine takes care of it all. I’d be interested if you could make almond, soy, cashew milk yogurt etc.! Let me know if you try it. It’s a great idea! I only use actual whole milk to make my yogurt. @@christinesroutines I've just recently found out that I should give up casein. probably a problem in my lineage. I thought I had got away with it. Apparently not! It took sixty-one years! My kitchen tends to get rather hot these summers. Wanted to make both yoghurts and sauerkraut myself because everything is so damned expensive. Someone suggested a wine cooler for the sauerkraut. An Instant Pot for the yoghurt. I have made yoghurt successfully before, but many years ago, using previous shop bought as a starter. Making nut or seed yoghurts is new to me.

      @@christinesroutines I suspect my English side came over with the Romans, probably somewhere where tolerance to milk products hadn't developed. My father's side originates from Rotterdam. Maybe that's where the delay in the intolerance comes from. Interestingly, a friend of mine at school all those years ago couldn't have anything at all with milk and, like the rest of my mother's side of the family, she had jet black hair. Mine is the brownest of all of them. Always remembered that incident in the school canteen when a canteen server dumped a whole load of custard on her dessert when she had asked them not to. She was that annoyed and she explained the reason that she could have none of it and it ended up in the waste bin. After she'd paid for it as well! That was the first time I had come across milk intolerance. I did stop having milk products many years ago. it didn't make a discernable difference back then, which is why I returned to it. Hmm. Just shows how these things can build up!

    • @christinesroutines

      Hi there, Yes for any type of milk with this machine you just use a handful of nuts or oats, etc. It just depends on how thick you would like it. I keep it around 1/2 of the designated cup that came with the machine. I hope this helps answer your question. Feel free to reach out again if you need anything further! @@christinesroutines Great so just to be clear, for a coffee creamer you’d fill up to 9/10 for 20oz? And for milk you’d fill it with nuts or oats halfway for 20 oz water? Thanks!

    • @christinesroutines
      @christinesroutines  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hi again, so I pulled the recipe book out that came with the machine and it states for just regular milk (which I made in the video & use as my creamer instead of naughty creamer! Ha!) 🤣 for almond, cashew, soy, macadamia milk 20 oz = 1 Tbsp of nuts. Oat milk is 1 & 1/2 Tbsp of oats. Coconut milk is 5 & 1/2 Tbsps of shredded coconut. So it is definitely different for each of the milks you can make. Then it has recipes for combined milks like cashew/almond and almond/soy and even does hazelnut milk! I hope this helps a bit with your question. Take care!

    Do you think it would be possible to add a calcium capsule’s contents into this milk when it’s done to fortify the plant dairy milk? Would you add it before it’s made similar to how you added the salt or stir it in once the milk has been made or wait until it’s cooled down? Thank you

    All around a bad item
    My family bought this for Christmas for me. I tried it and it worked the first 5 times. I did 1/2 recipes. Then it threw an error code of e15, call the manufacturer. They would not talk to me because I did not purchase it. My son finally talked then into replacing. They asked us to cut the electrical cord and toss. After a long wait we recieved a brand new one. This one only lasted 1 pot before it threw the e15 error. I tried both of them numerous times after the code, but they just don't work. The milk that we got was watered down or chunky. We can no longer return them. Researched a little and they are not designed for use above low altitude. So if you live at 2,000feet it may work. I also did not like that it had to go through the whole milk making process to clean. Each time it would throw an error I would have to unplug it, attempt to clean everything manually and then run a 15 minute cycle to clean it, which usually resulted in another error code. Don't buy
