    Year later, but THANK YOU! This is exactly what I was looking for your video is perfect for knowing how to do this every step, I was going through dozens of articles trying to find what would work for me. All the way to the needle you use, life saver here. Very happy I ran across your video today! Making this for my son and I's room we're currently (temporarily) having to share. Single Mama now, whoot whoot,lol, stayen single too,lol.. And I moved back in with my Mama, with my son,lol. Getting my ducks in a row. We recently got a full size loft and I didn't want to do another bed take up all the space underneath so the giant bean bag thing was the best solution for making this small room work for us. I definitely do not have the few hundred bucks to go buy a giant bean bag, but I do have my Mama with her whole living room filled with sewing machines, even a surger. Figured i can start utilizing one of the many perks to moving back in with my Mama, and start sewing more. My son is 7 this coming up (July 31st) so this sharing room thing definitely has to be temporary. We've sewn & put up curtains that slide around top part of bed, as well as curtains that push all the way around the bottom part of loft too. Helps so I can still be working on my computer underneath after his bedtime without me bothering him. I've got the bathroom for my changing & makeup space, so it's not all that bad, just is hard when we're needing a break from each other during this Summer when he's not in school. I wish ide been one of those women out there who secretly opened a savings account and stashed money on the side for an emergency situation. Live & learn, I guess,another lesson. Blessed to have my Mama though. Anyways too much info probably, lol, sorry, anyways I just wanted to tell ya how much your bean bag tutorial is helping us, thank you 😊 💓 💖 💗 💕

      @@BarbaraAtewe thanks for the video. I am seriously looking into this for myself. I was thinking shredded foam would be good

  • @Grace-xh2cd
    @Grace-xh2cd 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    do you recommend bean bag filler or foam? trying to make my friend on for christmas. she likes lovesac so whatever’s closest to that

    • @BarbaraAtewe
      @BarbaraAtewe  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      I say bean bag filler because foam is a bit expensive. If you’re using the same Sherpa fabric, it will already be soft & comfortable to lay on

    • @THLaunched
      @THLaunched 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      You could mix them because foam is more expensive, but foam is what is in lovesacs!

  • @Toderah
    @Toderah 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    Was the fabric folded when you were cutting?

    • @BarbaraAtewe
      @BarbaraAtewe  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Yeah, it was. I did cut the folded side though because the “rim” would’ve been too wide

    Good instructions. Perhaps you could have shown closeup of the filler material as well at close range. All we know is that you stuffed something. Also for the inner bag -- instead of zipper all around -- just a 2 feet zipper would have done the trick and the remaining could have been cloth to cloth. For the outer bag also may be a smaller zipper rather than full 19 ft could suffice....

    • @BarbaraAtewe
      @BarbaraAtewe  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I have links provided for the filler material I used.

      For both fabrics I cut:
      • (2) circles with a 30” radius
      • 190” L x 30” W rectangle
