He is an actual local policeman in our area. He has been featured in quite a few of our local musical productions. He is extremely good. To be completely honest, his acting and vocals in this summer stock production were much better than Russell Crowe in the film.
As the assistant director of this production I am amazed that this has now been seen nearly 2.2 million times. I can attest that this cast was sensational, and incredibly nice as well as talented. You'd be happy to know that after our three week run of the show we got "the band back together" seven months later and did an in concert version as well. I have worked five productions of Les Miserables, and this was by far the best.

As someone who has watched many a cover of One Day More, i can honestly say that this one has captured the spirit of the song better than any other. Your Javert, Enjolras and even Eponine OWNED their roles to the point where their street clothes made them look more authentic, not less. Javert in particular, from his voice to the way he carried himself redefined how the role should be played in my book.

I watched a crap ton of flash mobs and this is the only one with an appropriate crowd response. Most of the other ones the crowd will clap politely or smile and I'm just like this is free quality entertainment and they worked hard. Enjoy it.

Javert has a beautiful booming voice. By the end I had tears running down my face. Just so beautiful. Also thought Eponine sounded awesome. Wish I was American just so I could have had a chance of seeing this cast perform!
Rose Ford it's a distinguishing feature of the man. He's black, he's wearing black, he has no other distinguishing features to label him by and he's not wearing a name tag. Is it not more of a douchecanoe move for you to say that calling him black is offensive rather than factual?

OMG.. This is my fave musical for. Many reasons. I have seen this preformed many a time. And this is the best flashmob ever. You all have so talent. Love for you all to this in one of our two busiest centres here in Australia. Love it

November 14th 2022 - Just seeing this. Thank you for posting. When I heard the first notes I got goose bumps. They continued and later the tears came. Excellent, excellent, excellent. This has brightened my afternoon 9 years after this performance. Les Mis is still going strong. The music and the message still live and breathe.

Whew, this is good. I couldn't hear Valjean at first but it soon took off. Javert booms wonderfully and I was so happy when Enjolras came in, I'd hoped that guy was in on it.
The movie is a little sing-songy, especially in the first 1/2. I appreciate what they were trying to do, but I don't think it worked as well as they had hoped. Characters like Javert and Enjolras (the one with the broom) are ideals, it didn't work on film. Additionally most of the singing really didn't stand out, though there were notable exceptions like Samantha Barks and Daniel Huttlestone who were Eponine and Gavroche. Try to find a stage production that was filmed, you might like it more. The 2010 25th anniversary production is really good. At least they didn't cut the chorus like they did in Sweeny Todd. Poor Sweeny Todd.

Absolutely awesome!! I'm not usually into musicals but for some reason find this has so much more impact than if it was just in a theatre in full costume. Amazing.
