This actually helped me realize what was wrong! I have a pair of vintage KLH Model Six speakers with a 3-way high frequency switch on the back. I must have bumped the right one down from "normal" to "decrease" and the difference was so hard to pin down but I knew something was up. Back in sync now and enjoying some Blue Oyster Cult!
