Dude...you're awesome. When i was about to ask if there was a better outdoor mount; because the magnetic head could move in bad weather, you show the outdoor mount kit. Thank you. You covered EVERYTHING.

Wired mine into fixed power located next to 4000 lumen motion activated spotlights. Actually records full colour at night due to the lighting when the lights are on, but can still pick up small animals (dogs and cats) without triggering the spotlights in infra-red detection-recording mode. Longer record time after triggering would be nice but otherwise a good camera.

Very good information was just wondering how many cameras can you expand to. Have the arlo’s but you can only go up to five after that you have to pay a subscription if you want to add more cameras.

Thank you so much for this; thanks to your review I’m going to get a little 2-camera set for the front and back of my new bungalow; I’m moving into it once it’s all sorted (hopefully mid-2019ish), after sixteen years in the same little flat with no garden at all, it having quite a big garden at the back that’s pretty isolated right at the far end makes me a little nervous so yeah - I’m sincerely grateful for the time you took to do this, all of the extra little points like the WiFi strength and it’s relationship to the settings as well as the audio features etc are completely kickass - thanks again 🙌🏼👍🏼🤗😘

Excellent review. How can I get it to record longer than 15-20seconds?
I have pressed and held the button a million times, resetted it a thousand times and all of my devices can never find the hotspot. I got a 2.4 ghz network that it recommended
Can you plug the camera all the time to use it or you need to unplug it? I've charge the camera all night and set it up in the morning but it went off line! 😡.i think it did not charge the whole night

I bought that same model from Sam's and a 5 camera pack however the app is painfully slow
the cameras run down very quickly the batteries do not last 2 weeks I get notifications quickly when I open open the app it takes 3 minutes for it to actually open so I can see what's going on and by that time action has already left the cam also for the same price you have other competitors which are so much more better

Great review. I would have liked to see the camera's view from a distance. i.e. I would want to put the camera as high as my third floor to get as broad and full a view of the outside area as possible. Hopefully, they'll have a fisheye camera or mode in future.
You seem to be close to the camera. Would the heat sensor detect you if you were further back in your garage, like going into the house?

I bought this to try it out although it's easy to set up and have working right out of the book wireless does have about a 5 second delay in real time
My biggest complaint is the live screen split footage doesn't show all the screens footage you have to actually click on whatever camera and then go in to see the footage.

How do you look at it thru a moniter?
How do you view the camera when you are say 10 miles on your phone ?

what about remote viewing from outside you LAN?
very nice review but a few questions will all my cameras be a secured feed, and since I live in Arizona and all my cameras will be outside do you have any ideas how the batteries do in the heat. And can we replace the batteries or buy replaceable batteries for the cameras. Thanks Mike
I’m not sure how they do in extreme temperatures. I have heard that Swann is coming out with a solar panel to mount along with the cameras to provide infinite power.

Yes, absolutely! They also have a wireless video doorbell too. It’s totally up to you.

I watched this review before i bought one and here is mine.. the sensor slow people some times almost out of frame when its record in the 8 meter zone and after it finish record the camera unavailable for recording for minimum 2 minutes even if you put the sleep option 24:11 for 1min or 30s or min. i test it thoroughly. it should be recording while there's movement i dont care about battery life whats the point of having sleeping security camera.

I wouldn’t recommend this product. I’d get ring or arlo for wireless cameras.

Honestly? If I were buying wireless cameras today I’d either buy Arlo or Ring. Those by far are you best bet for wireless. Will there be a monthly fee? Yes, but it’s worth it.

the one downside I do see is that you have to remove the camera to recharge it, As far as I can tell, the batteries are not removable.

With a 4K amazon fire stick you can view them one at a time on a tv. Yes, you can view these on your phone.
So I ordered the 3 pack. Arrived yesterday but did start messing with till around 930. I gave up at 11. Charged all cameras before I left for my sons b-ball game. Only got one camera working. ( none are mounted ) the 2 others just say there must be an issue with WiFi or battery needs charging. I re added them numerous times. Not sure what I did wrong. Your review makes these camera look unbelievable. There ok on my iPhone 8 Plus. My WiFi speeds are nearly 200mb. Little help here would be appreciated.

I purchased the Swann wireless cameras. They work great. First week I received them I did a lot of tinkering so the batteries only lasted maybe a week and a half. Brought all down to charge. After charging, set them all with low settings and they last a day and a half. Wow. Guess I’ll run power to all of them now. Not cool.

I need a wireless camera that will record continuously for about 8 hours and re-record over itself every night. Basically, I want footage to view while I’m sleep in case something happens to my car or something . 30 sec or 2 min recording won’t really work . And how far does it detect motion ?
Look into arlo or ring cameras. As far as a wireless one going continuously? I haven’t heard of that.

It depends on your settings mostly, but they make a solar panel for these. It’ll never run out of power. I did a video on it.

Swann is known for very complicated apps. Remember to write down the email, password and username you used in the setup

I am using 4 at my home but I have some trouble that the camera didn't capture the moment someone dumped something in front of my front yard fence even though I have set it to the maximum sensor ( It is about 7m distance from the camera to the object ) Was it too far for the camera to detect the movement?
One more thing, can you show me how to set the camera to extend the time recording. My one just record about 5-second video ( I saw your recorded video was about 1 minutes)
Overall, I love the camera because it was very good quality for the sound and picture compare others on the market. I wish it had 24/7 recording and 2 ways audio, It would be the best security camera then

They’re inexpensive. Check SWANN or Best Buy.
Battery life only 2 weeks and I have optimized the settings. Not practical to mount outside unless near an outside power outlet. I sent emails to Swann but no response. No Hub, switch required.

Great cameras but the battery life isn't too good for me. I'm charging mine every couple of weeks. There's a problem where the cameras are activated without any movement. I hear them constantly turning on and off throughout the house for no reason.
If anyone has any advice, it'll be much appreciated. New at this sort of stuff.

You could check to see if your camera is being activated by both sounds and motion. Also, you could uncheck the box for sound activation or decrease the sensitivity setting on either or both.
