I would think Islam is stronger force in the world than atheism. My evidence would be that Islam advances in the west as Christians become atheist. There is a desire within the human heart to believe in something bigger than ourselves. Atheist do not offer a compelling case for this.

I was a hardcore atheist especially in the my early 20's. Now i'm 30 and recently I started visiting church every now and then. Last Sunday during the sermon some kind of power or force came over me and I broke down crying. I decided and declared to give my life to Jesus and professed my faith to the whole church.

I was a young earth creationist when I was in my early teens and when I realized how utterly full of crap that entire ideology is I became a pretty decided atheist that thought any thoughts of a God were utter nonsense. I spent almost all my 20's like this but I did not have some amazing power come over me. For me, it was investigation into science, specifically my field of physics, that made me have a harder and harder time not seeing clear direction and too much logic and convenience in the laws of nature to not be the product of will. It just is too incredible to be random. I have no emotional investment in this, I think though the moral, cultural and element of truth is too important not be dedicated to it. I go to church, I bring my kids to church, I try to teach them how to pray (even though I feel like nothing is listening inside), I try to be involved in my church and not just giving superficial lip service. I can't help thought hat I have real doubts, and that I feel like even if there is a creator it simply is not interested in us. When I pray I feel like nothing is there. But I KNOW that feelings can be deceiving and despite what I feel I also know what I know; and the evidence I cannot deny.
I call myself a reluctant agnostic theist but practice Christianity because I want that sincere devotion for my children and I also figure I can fake it until it is real (or die trying).

Was an atheist all my life. Spoke badly about Christianity.
Came to Christ this year at 42. Apologised to my friend at work for everything I’ve ever said, whether he heard it or not.
Took me a while to get into praying but I have apologised profusely and asked for forgiveness.
But when my friend hugged me and said he knew it wasn’t from a place of hate. Didn’t matter when or how but was extremely pleased and supportive I’m now a follower. Actually brought a tears to my eyes discussing how it came about.
To everyone here reading this, please accept my apologies also.

I like how much you apologize. Leading people away from God is a huge burden the more you realize how desirable God is. If you never did content that reached thousands of people, and only spoke badly about God from time to time, then I'd say you got out of town with a scratch. Imagine being Dawkins or RR, having lead over 100k people away from God with a single video. Now each time you realize a new level of God's glory, you will also have to apologize for a new level of harm caused by leading others away from God. This will make the initial path to God very bothersome, while everyone else is free to finally be happy once they start their walk with God. It must feel very cursed to be in this condition. That's why I say atheists be smart, don't talk, don't make videos.

I found it hard to start praying because of this. I wasn’t going to just go with the flow and say sorry. I wanted it t be real, heartfelt, genuine without any doubt from me.
I pray a lot now and most of it is thanks now I see how things in my life have gone.
I know I’ve never been and will never be good enough for heaven. That doesn’t mean I won’t try, but I also know of the huge sacrifice given for us from the LORD for our sins.

I told her about all the miraculous changes true belief in Christ made in my life. Despite her swearing she would do anything to quit drugs. She was so incapable of believing she never even considered taking what I said seriously. She ended up committing suicide in 2022. Don't be like my friend Heather. Atheism and insanity. That's precisely why I didn't become an atheist when I left the Catholic church over 20 years ago. I tried the "no-God" approach and my mental health worsened very quickly. So I never really rejected the idea of God, and have always had a great deal of admiration for Jesus, but I became a spiritual nomad, looking for truth. Later I noticed that in a Western society it was almost impossible to live without some sort of treatment for mental health, whether pharmacological or behavioural. I thought that was peculiar. After trying several different religious traditions, I came back to Christianity. At first simply because it seemed to have the most beneficial effect on my mental health, and I thought that Christianity is a beautiful religion, certainly not worse than Buddhism or Taoism, so I thought why not. Later, I experienced the grace of the Holy Spirit and the peace of the Good Shepherd, and here I am: healed of my turmoil.

When they took the fewest genes to sustain life in a single cell ( archea) it could not replicate/reproduce.
If it can’t reproduce it can’t pass on its “code” to any generation.
They had to add in 20 genes to the cell in order for it to reproduce.
20 genes? All by random or pseudorandom processes?
      1. You had to have 450 genes randomly created in order to sustain life
2.Then you had to randomly produce another 20 genes ( none of which could have come from a parent cell) just to be capable of passing on the code to the next generation.
      3. This had to be accidentally not on purpose and for no purpose. The non living material doesn’t make decisions and to suggest chemicals of the fragile nature of RnA/Dna could code and that presumption is ignoring the carbon ( sugar ) back bone of DNA/RNA( which is way worse to make by chance than even codes for proteins)

I'm a proud man. I'm proud of what my son has become. I do not look down on people. I am supportive of the LGBTQ community, I abhor racism, misogyny and bigotry. Sadly, when reading the bible it advocates for racism, and promotes bigotry and misogyny. We can simply look at the rules this god put in for owning people as property, The value put on a woman was about half that of a man, she was never allowed to inherit or own property. She could be sold into slavery by her father, she couldn't go free as the men could. When one wished to permanently own slaves, one needed to purchase from different races from surrounding nations, these slaves can owned forever, and can be passed to sons as an inheritance. children born into slavery from a purchased female slave were also the property of the slave owner.
I'm proud that I don't hold to these bigoted and hateful ideals. I can see why those who worship a hateful god and consider it to be moral, loving, and just, might not feel proud that they hold this god in high regard.

      Logic is an illusion (Nietzsche)
“Truths are illusions which we have forgotten are illusions.”
      - (Nietzsche, Reference from: On Truth and Lies in a Nonmoral Sense).

Life is an “horror” and “truth” is “illusory”. (Nietzsche)
Moreover, according to the prominent atheist Foucault…
“Storytellers continue their narratives late into the night to forestall death and to delay the inevitable moment when everyone must fall silent.” (Foucault).

      `
The wrath of God is being revealed from heaven against all the godlessness and wickedness of people, who suppress the truth by their wickedness, 19 since what may be known about God is plain to them, because God has made it plain to them. 20 For since the creation of the world God’s invisible qualities-his eternal power and divine nature-have been clearly seen, being understood from what has been made, so that people are without excuse.
21 For although they knew God, they neither glorified him as God nor gave thanks to him, but their thinking became futile and their foolish hearts were darkened. 22 Although they claimed to be wise, they became fools 23 and exchanged the glory of the immortal God for images made to look like a mortal human being and birds and animals and reptiles.
24 Therefore God gave them over in the sinful desires of their hearts to sexual impurity for the degrading of their bodies with one another. 25 They exchanged the truth about God for a lie, and worshiped and served created things rather than the Creator-who is forever praised. Amen.
26 Because of this, God gave them over to shameful lusts. Even their women exchanged natural sexual relations for unnatural ones. 27 In the same way the men also abandoned natural relations with women and were inflamed with lust for one another. Men committed shameful acts with other men, and received in themselves the due penalty for their error.
28 Furthermore, just as they did not think it worthwhile to retain the knowledge of God, so God gave them over to a depraved mind, so that they do what ought not to be done. 29 They have become filled with every kind of wickedness, evil, greed and depravity. They are full of envy, murder, strife, deceit and malice. They are gossips, 30 slanderers, God-haters, insolent, arrogant and boastful; they invent ways of doing evil; they disobey their parents; 31 they have no understanding, no fidelity, no love, no mercy. 32 Although they know God’s righteous decree that those who do such things deserve death, they not only continue to do these very things but also approve of those who practice them.

I remember in high school (1983) when people would ask me if I was a Christian, I would reply, "I don't really know what that means, but I don't go to church, I don't believe in that". I didn't know I was an atheist I was so removed from religion.
All I knew was I didn't like people preaching at me, so did I mock them? Did I yell at them or beat them up? No, none of that. I simply told them, "That doesn't mean anything to me, please stop". Most realized I wasn't going to hear them out one way or another so they stopped. A few kept talking about God and the afterlife. I said, "I don't believe in that", then I would leave.
I cannot remember any atheists from back in the 80s who were violent or aggressive when confronted with Jesus and the scripture... and I am trying real hard to think back to those days. Come to think of it, there were Christians, Muslims, Jews, and "I don't believe in religion" and everyone got along. Some dated between the different faiths and non-faiths. A few would only date within their own beliefs, but as far as friendships went, it was a garden salad variety all mixed up into one bowl. Nobody excluded anyone else from that mixed salad.
The only thing that formed cliques were socioeconomic classes and what kind of music you were into.
Since I was born into a pretty poor family, but dad worked his way up the military ranks, we ended up in the upper middle class. I loved all types of music. What did that get me? Nobody told me to go away, I fit into all their groups. I was invited to punk rock basement parties to New Wave parties held in someone's mansion while their parents were vacationing in Europe... but nobody was EVER condemned because of their beliefs, skin color, place of birth, or even sexuality.
I often wonder what happened to America. In the late 70s and through the middle 90s, nobody cared one bit what skin color someone was, or their religious beliefs, or what sexuality someone was. That wasn't important. It wouldn't have made a list of top 10 traits of how you would "label" a person. They were good, bad, mean, bitchy, an a-hole, cool, rad, loner, stoner, well-off, poor, or "just normal".
What happened folks? What changed in the late 90s and ever since? Why is all the characteristics of a person now what defines them? Instead of being a decent human being with strong character, now it's their skin color, their sexuality, the way they vote (and for whom) that is so important?
Yeah, I think the people went and burnt down the forest thinking their religion of Leftism could replace it..

East Germany did look al little better after Communist rule ended then after world war 2, not much. And it had a real good effect. If left a large group of people who were willing to embrace the other atheistic ideology again. In two Eastern Germany provinces a party, which is extreme right wing. Some of its leaders can be called Nazis without committing liable according to court rulings. And who exposed them Christians in all cases. And why? Because Christian try to live by Gods law to love their next one as much as they love themselves. @@I9s7lam5is-S3tu1pid I try to explain what happened in Easter Germany. The Nazis when they came to power, tried to reeducate the population, and they started with the school children through changing the education plans. Hitler never got more than 36% of the votes and Germany was at that time a majority Christian country. The Nazis started the campaign to replace the Chistian faith with their atheistic faith that they would create a paradise on earth by creating the Uebermenschen (Super human). This is an idea that Nietzsche came up with. During their time children who were baptized received still education in the Christian faith in school, but they were also required to participate in the meetings and trainings of the Hitlerjugend, where they received indoctrination in Nazi ideology, which include the teachings that they should be willingly sacrifice themselves for the good of the people, as only the people were truly valuable and that humans, who were considered Untermenschen ( Humans of lower value) or humans who had to be purged to create the Uebermensch. - There is a reason why so many of the Hitler Youth were willing to fight until the end, while experienced soldiers tried only to save as much lives as they could. - The Communists continued with this reeducation. And these two ideologies are quite similar in that they say that there is no god, that the community, the greater good, is important, the single person is nothing and that it is a good dead to kill enemies of the enemies of the community. The only difference between these two who they define as enemies. That’s it. That the communists were antisemitic because Isarel was allied with the West did not help. The majority of people who rebelled against the communist regime were either Christians or they had affiliation for the Nazis if they did not believe in God as the Nazis were the atheistic enemies of the communists. We reap what was sown.

Humans can only live a fulfilled life with 2 specifically…albeit rare individuals (cope and purpose) or having all 3 despite whatever circumstances they encountered throughout their life. Christianity fulfills all 3 while atheism only fulfills 1 of these cases “cope.” For clarification what I mean by “cope” in other words you can say therapy it just helps individuals rationally overcome all the circumstances tied to reality physically and mentally like happiness, sadness, suffering etc. Atheists put all that on the individual rather than faith which is how the “cope” requirement is fulfilled and the majority of atheists you encounter today only have that 1. What makes them different from prior atheists is purpose and community. I’ll use 1 of the examples he gave in the video “Dungeons and dragons” which has a cult like community…well their passion towards the game where no matter what they will always meet to share their love for the game which gives them that community and purpose requirement. The game consists of all age groups and they live out their life completely content. Would I say Christianity is needed *yes,* it satisfies all conditions that adequately fulfills the human experience (our biological anatomy)…but in a world with rational people eh not really.

I’ve been following your work as a Christian Apologist, and I must say that I find your insights and predictions quite interesting. In particular, your prediction about the potential downfall of societies that move away from Christianity resonates with me.
Interestingly, I recently came across a book called “Sex and Culture” by J.D. Unwin, which might interest you. The book explores the relationship between sexual restrictions and the rise and fall of civilizations, and the patterns that emerge from this correlation seem to align with your predictions. According to Unwin’s research, societies that embrace sexual restraint (or “deistic societies”) thrive and prosper, while those that lean towards sexual freedom (“zooistic societies”) eventually face decline.
In this context, I see a strong parallel between Unwin’s findings and the role Christianity has played in shaping Western societies. As you’ve suggested, Christianity can be seen as a “deistic” force that has helped maintain social stability and moral values. Conversely, as societies become more secular and embrace values more in line with “zooistic” societies, we may witness the consequences Unwin observed.
While Unwin’s book primarily focuses on the theme of sexual freedom, I believe the broader implications for societal values and structures are worth considering. Unwin describes the observed pattern as “monotonously repetitive,” which only further emphasizes the potential consequences of rejecting the moral foundations Christianity provides.
I highly recommend looking at “Sex and Culture,” either by reading the full book or exploring a summary. I’m confident you’ll find it an insightful and thought-provoking read that offers additional support for the ideas you’ve been exploring in your own work. 😄

There were two folks I believe were atheists I recall meeting (separate occasions) who kept denying evidence (including historical) for Jesus.
I would then ask them "Do you think George Washington existed?", and they both said no. I think they actually do believe George existed, but they'd rather deny history than even admit Jesus existed at all (even just as a 'good teacher but not God' as a lot of atheists think).
(There was also a third guy who denied Washington's existence, but I think he already believed that before I spoke to him given how.. strange his responses were).
    ----
My prediction? A lot of atheists (not all!) I've seen seem to use atheism as a bulwark against their conscience, and would rather silence reminders that their conscience is unplugged than pursue the truth in order to yield to it.
This leads to new atheism or some other 'superiority cult' naturally, and this brand of atheist (again, not all atheists) likely will be part of group #3 you mentioned, David.
Therefore, my prediction is that they will have lives filled with guilt, regret, anger - governed by mob rule, and immunizing themselves to evidence to the contrary. A generation of Dillahunty-Dodgers whose tempers will shorten, whose lusts will lead to weirder and weirder pursuits, and whose joy is found in mocking others.
