You opening her cell with the Jailers key is where her quest initially starts, in order to do so you need the Jailers key as a prerequisite to begin her quest. Her quest ends once you have bought all her sorceries and have gotten the last bit of dialogue off her.

Well, you can still acquire the miracles in those Tomes, but at the consequence of the bad ending of the latter NPC. The whole point of Karla's quest in fact is getting those Dark Miracles, the rest is elementary. If you do not want Irina succumbing to the Deep, then I suggest doing that on another and buy the Dark Miracles off Irina in your current playthrough.
@@vaskopoh9512 buy all the normal miracles (non dark) from Irina and she'll turn into a Firekeeper. Then she'll have both tomes dropped by her side, and then you can give them to Karla.
I didn’t speak to her when she was in the cell, I tried to open the door it was locked then I died. Since I didn’t speak to her will she still be in the cell when I get back?
I mean, nothing.. the only thing Karla is here for is to actually learn the dark miracles without triggering Irinas bad ending.. but if you dont care if you get Irinas bad ending then buy the dark miracles off Irina.
Well I haven't finished the game yet but if u want to get a good ending of Irina's quest u better just buy from her the miracles only. If u buy the other sorceries you won't get the good ending and the big guy with a hammer that was protecting her will be hostile next time he sees u. At least that's what I read on the net.
Impossible! the only way she would have disappeared from her cell, other than *_you_* sending her back to Firelink is if you died while talking to her in her cell i.e. Jailers chased you in there and killed you while you were talking to Karla.

I fell down one of those holes in the corridor and had to fight my way out of toxic hell, in doing so I accidentally stumbled upon the Jail Keyring.

no this quest is an anomaly where she just chills as a merchant
Same with Patches, really. Unless you choose to kill them, once they're merchants, merchants are what they'll be forever.

It actually does though. If you give a divine tome to Irina you will get the spells but it will end up killing her.

Make sure it is the correct cell and she should spawn.
