I just purchased a 2023 Q7 Premium Plus - can’t wait to pick it up and go. After a long search of luxury SUVs, the Q7 six cylinder was my choice. Good power, quiet ride, luxurious styling.
Again, why do so many TH-cam car reviewers not do a proper third row review? This is an important feature yet you don’t move the 2nd row to a normal or forward position to show how most would use the third row.
Preach it brother! Wish I could like this comment 100 times. I am so sick of this too. Probably because this review is done by young men who have no idea how families actually will use this vehicle. 3rd row and seating arrangement is the main frickin feature. Car Mom is only reviewer who does decent third row reviews on her vids-used her as major resource when researching for our new 3 row.
Love our ‘21 Q7 Prestige which is very similar to this’23 model. Great styling, extremely comfortable, maneuverable, handles great and loaded with features. The laser headlights are absolutely amazing! We really enjoy the full sunroof/screen and the B&O sound system is exceptional. Excellent SUV.
I'm a bit disappointed with storage accommodations (especially in the front seat) in the Q7 and wondering how good of a family road trip vehicle this would be. With an electronic shifter, you would think that would free up space below the center console. At 199 inches, it's also on the lengthier side of the segment but is pinched on the interior. That being said, I like the 3-way split folding second row and the large glove compartment and door pockets. It also has the engine and driving dynamics going for it.
Great video nice suv. The only thing to me and it’s with so many vehicle manufactures is that black headliner looks much more premium. That light gray most companies put on especially this 73k suv is a killer. Great video as always you both do an outstanding job showing us all the newest cars.
Looks like Audi is letting either the retired staffs or the apprentices in their design team to do the job for 2023 Q7. Look at all other brands in their 2023 SUV, cheaper or the expensive, from Palisade to RX350 to X7 to GLC/GLS. All absolutely stunning.
I disagree and IMO still one of the if not the best looking SUV out there. RX350 is hideous with X7 and GLS looks being very boring, certain GLCs are not that bad looking
I see a lot of people comparing this vehicle to the X7 but wouldn't this be more comparable to the X5? I like the idea of the touch screen but seems like a safety hazard since you have to take your eyes off the road constantly to adjust the A/C and make sure you're pushing the right spot on the touch screen. I think the wheels on these things look horrendous and plain compared to the BMW, Volvo, Mercedes equivalents but you can't argue with the value since AWD, leather seats, and the third row seats come standard.
I get that the matrix LED lamps are more openly available, but incandescent turn signals is inexcusable on something from Audi, considering they're one of the lighting leaders of the industry. If Kia can package f/r LED signals, then certainly it shouldn't be of question for Audi, which competes with the Acura MDX, BMW X5/7, GLE/GLS, Genesis GV80, heck even the Cadillac XT6 and Lincoln Aviator, all offering them standard on the absolute base trims. The Q7 is still a decent buy, but the competition in this class is quite fierce and it would be hard for me to put it as a top buy, considering how well the competition is nowadays.
I mean, there's a reason the Q7 is so much cheaper than the X5 with more standard features. The quality of the interior is lower, less powerful engine and less fuel efficient motor, and they cut corners in a lot of areas.
This is not the top of the line Q7. Prestige/Chronos versions will get you the LED matrix design headlights and turn signals. He even mentioned the chip shortage being an issue.
So for 2023 they actually cut the matrix lights for even the higher trims like prestige because supply chain/chip shortages, a bunch of manufacturers are cutting features and options like this, which really sucks cause you’re not only paying more in 2023 but you’re getting less options than if you bought it a few years ago. Better off with a 2021 model so all options were available.
why did they switch to a turbo from a supercharger. I have the 2017 q7 30T and it is better on gas and a lot less lag when you step on it. I have been looking to uypgrade to a newer q7 or a q8 but I am hesitant because of that.
Not big enough of an upgrade for me to leave my '19 Prestige Q7. I still love the analogic knobs and switches compared to the finger print heavy touchscreens. The black optic package is nice though.
Big help in my purchase. I bought the premium plus package and love it! The car is black , Crome logo with black interior. (I like it better than all blacked out.) I don’t find the limited space a problem. Keeps out clutter and most things go in the rear seats. Purchased at Rusnak Audi in Pasadena, CA. Taylor B. located this particular one for me! Highly recommend working with him. Thank for the information. Very helpful!
I wish people who review cars focused more on the experience of driving the car and how the view looks, than zooming in on particular parts of seats and things that are honestly irrelevant. We want to see the car as a whole please. If anything, have a wider shot where the whole cabin comes out and then talk about specific parts. If the camera keeps zooming here and there, then all we have is fragments of a whole that we don't know what it looks like.
I am not a fan of the purely touch screen haptic feedback AC controls. I'd much rather have knobs/levers/buttons to control the A/C system. The cohesive look of the center console, however, looks great! No tablet glued to the dash look.
Me too, I had a 2021 x5 and 2022 q7 I absolutely love the x5 more , the physical control for the HAVC and even the engine is much more responsive , plus Audi has no factory remote engine start
I went to see the car and not too impressed. For the price I thought I would get more. The third row is tight no outlets. The third row doesn’t easily go down and will get stuck. I did like the technology but with my family the comfort is not there. Only if it was a little bigger and more cargo space.
It’s almost 2023 so this blows my mind as a luxury 3 row SUV that would be the only way of getting into the 3rd row. Extremely inconvenient when you have car seat on the 2nd row. Not to compare with a GLS or X7, just check how XC90, MDX or QX60 works….
Really? I think you’re wrong having shopped all of this segment. Yes, the tilt and slide is easier to engage in everyone else’s car, but this one gives you the most floor room to put your feet and actually climb in…the rest of them you are navigating a narrow opening between angles seat back and door. This you get the entire seat cushion area. Only issue is doesn’t work with a child seat installed, but you can use the other side if you have only 1 kid in child seat
