    You yoke Girl! When I peruse the 50ft long racks of jeans at thrift stores, I start at he opposite end and shop the backs of the jeans by flipping them back fast. If I see a decent yoke, I stop and quickview the front and inseam, etc. Takes about 3mins to shop 100+ pairs just looking for good yokes...no joke! Heh heh!

    I found this video to be extremely helpful. For me, jeans are the hardest to find in a flattering cut for my fuller bottom. I don't like them too tight, that means I usually end up having to have waistline altered. I learned a lot from you about looking for the most flattering pocket placement and yoke. Those were things I'd never really given much thought about but you were on point in your advice. Thank you!

      Fran Denim. They aren’t cheap, but if you work out, they’re the only way to go. My quads are 25” (it’s your thighs that help you get up off the ice or hold up your body during ballet, for example) and that’s the biggest fit issue I’ve found-if I can’t get them over my quads, it doesn’t matter what the hip and waist measurements are.

    YES!!!! Someone finally did a video on this!! Jeans for the near perfect rear: pockets that are made/sewn closer together to the mid-main seam. The farther the pockets (to our hips; really?) the more flat and spread out our butt’s look.
    Placement of pockets can be everything 💖💖.

    @MsAnon4223 3 ปีที่แล้ว +33

    The best jeans hack I ever learned was how to get rid of the back gap. If you got lots of booty and a small waist just add an elastic into the jeans. I use the elastic with the button holes already in it, then cut a slit on each side of the inner band of the jeans. Then run the elastic through. Sew a button on both sides just a little beyond the slit and you can adjust the waist however tight or loose you want it.

Could I ask what brand they are or for a link to them? Also I'm low income so usually have to stick with less expensive jeans. My biggest struggle with jeans is that I need a stretchy waist to get then on and off myself (if you try sitting on the toilet with your pants down and then try to pull them up without staning and only using one hand to pull hourself back and fourth leaning more towards your right hip then your left hip whole pulling your pants up with the other hand whole you rock back and fourth you'll see why the stretchy waist is better. And why I buy maternity jeans) my other issue is just that... They are stretchy so they do no favors for my legs which have atrophied muscles so my legs look wide and flat sitting down. I wish they had jeans that stretched in the hips and waist but not in the legs. Lastly, I don't really wear high waisted jeans just because I'm not a fan of now they make the bottom part of my stomach pooch yet I have to be really careful they aren't that low of a rise either because with sitting all the time it kind of pulls the back down some and no one likes their butt crack showing. Do you know I'd any brands that would fit those discriptions of being stretchy in the waist so I can pull them up (the more stretch the better) little to no stretch in the legs and not too low in the butt? My favorite style is boot cut but I wear other styles like skinny jeans too. I'm short, only 5'1" but since I've been in a chair I quit wearing short it petite lingths just because when sitting I like them to hit my shoes at about the length most people like them when standing so the regular lengthd seem to look better now that I can't stand up. Thanks in advance. I hope those dark wash blue pull up ones are affordable because they look amazing on you. I used to have a similar body shape to yours. I was 5'1" 102 lbs for years. But I turned 30 and got diagnosed with Hashimotos Thyroiditis and Addisons Disease and now weight 119. The real bummer is that I used to not be extremely muscular but was really fit. Had the nice contouring of the muscles in my stomach yet not quite a six pack. A firm butt, legs and arms etc but when I got sick the muscle waisted away and I gained weight. My shoulders and hips were exactly 13.5 inches wide when measures for my first wheelchair and my waist was 11.75 inches wide. They don't measure around, just use a thing that looks like a vice grip to measure side to side. I don't know about my other measurements but my wheelchair seat is 15 inches wide and my hips now touch the sides so I would say my hips are about 15 inches wide now and I have no clue about my stomach but I went from ironboard and contour around my abdominal muscles to rolls since getting sick.

      Dear Jamie Hamilton, I am a sewer and I know one or two things about difficult dressing sizes. Reading your question, I'd say, look out for some seamstress close to your place. She can come around, take your measures, talk about your favourite style and fabric options and sew those dream jeans for you. I was in the burdastyle-community for years and there were many great gifted sewists posting their very own, very individualized projects. You could find sewers on Facebook or Instagram or on your city's neighbourhood-projects. There are people out there, not charging you every single hour of work, because they love to be challenged by the art😉

    Good advice for anyone, except the heels thing. My mother wore heels her whole working life. She had to have hip replacements 3 times, 2 knee replacements and bunion surgery twice. I blame the heels. Heels may look hot, but are not great for one's alignment.

    Eat four to six eggs a week: its protein is more bioavailable than other food sources. And its yolk has lecithin to emulsify, microparticleize its cholesterol, which if you have bodily low inflammation, as from antioxidant anti-inflammatories in your diet and do not eat inflammatory foods, will not cause arterial plaque. An egg has just 80 calories. Its saturated fat, like dietary fats generally, will lower your hunger to prevent overeating; and if not readily burned to energy will raise your estrogen levels, which will give you smooth skin and nice curves, as in derriere.
    Overdoing squats over time can tear knee cartilege. A better exercise is to lie face down on an exercise mat and do progressively higher leg lifts and gluteal isometrics.

    Proper deportment makes all the difference to the way clothes fit. Girls used to be taught to stand tall, stretching their heads towards the ceiling, with their backs straight, as if there was elastic from the top of their heads. To make sure they got it right, they had to balance books on their heads and keep them there while they walked the length of the hall! The tummy was held in, shoulders back a little and down. It was an elegant and graceful look. They had waists all around, back and front! No loping, swaggering or wiggling - just a gentle sway perhaps... Poetry in motion, finishing school fashion.

      I SO agree! ESPECIALLY around the season people are thinning out their old pairs to get new! Just Remember with stretchy material on used jeans to check for stretched out waist areas and also (I’ve found) look at the inner thigh area to make sure they’re not too worn and that the fabric isn’t pilled..I’m personally not a fan of super stretchy fabric just Bc I find they don’t seems to last very Long (esp. if you’re like me and dry your jeans in a dryer-damages the elastin) and also they seem to be super “thin”...I like high quality jeans for a teeny price-not so easy but thrifting and Poshmark definitely help!

    The right underwear is crucial to the look for petite ladies. A centre back seam avoids a flat rear and the rise should match to keep the silhouette smooth. Some tiny petites may find that slightly *hipster" briefs (meant to sit above the hip) sit at waist level for them without showing above the waistband.

    It never feels like I've got enough room length or depth-wise at the bottom of the butt area for my bum. I'm short waisted, so regular jeans aren't proportioned correctly, but petite jeans aren't long enough in the leg. This causes the zipper area of jeans to rub and press in. Elastic waists fall down and are usually found on skinny jeans with no belt loops, flimsy fabric with more itchy elastic in general, and no bend in the knees. Still, the point about the supporting line on the back is useful. Denim in general tends not to be the most comfortable fabric anyway. If there were a way to line them with something soft, that would be better. I like my flannel lined jeans for winter, but they're normally too hot.

    I'm 5ft 1 and a half inches. I'm long bodied and short legged and a UK size 10. Mid rise suits my bum and tummy best but the high waisted trend and mom jean have been all over the high street the last several years. I look awful in high waisted jeans as it makes my bum flat as a pancake and highlights the merest hint of any bloating. I hate trying on trousers, so I live in my Topshop Leigh skinny jeans. As I get older I want to go back to a wide leg look but the key being petite, is to wear the right shoes with them like flatform trainers for day and for night wedges or platform block heels and to also invest in getting the leg length taken up. Jean/trouser shopping is definitely a chore!

    Still wearing my authentic old country style jeans and don't care what anybody thinks because the look is real. We don't wear high heels with jeans. We wear genuine leather boots with chunky slightly raised heels. The idea of "dress jeans" doesn't exist in the bush, where jeans are not for showing off your butt but actually for work wear. If going out to party etc, we wear our good "going out£ clothes, often a skirt or dress, if female, but country style, not city style. And, in Australia, the styles and colours are determined by whether you live coastal or inland....So long as you are not wearing the wrong clothes to the wrong places or you are too over or under dressed, formality wise or wearing "wierd colours" like ethnic people like, nobody worries too much of about how their butts look, though, trying on new clothes in shops, Aussie women like to bring along their men who hate such "torture" but suffer in silence and then the woman asks the dreaded question "Does my bum look big in this, dear?" Men need to think very carefully before answering this very loaded, often dangerous question that can often trigger gross domestic violence, depending on how the man responds....There is always only one co CT answer he must give her, regardless of how fat or non existently a many her butt looks and that answer is "No, dear... You look great!". But, of course, no woman believes her man I he says this, so she turns and looks at her butt in the mirror at different angles, which, of course, makes it look bigger at some angles and she begins to question his integrity or style judgement etc as he gets impatient and annoyed, dying to get out of such places. "Oh, I'm not so sure it doesn't make my bum look big... Look at this side, dear..." She turns to show her m but his mind is elsewhere and she snaps "I'm talking to you! I want to know if my butt looks big in this....The honest truth..." He blurts out "Massive!" hoping this response pleases her, since his previous one didn't satisfy her. The shop assistant knocks and asks if the jeans fit OK. "No, I need a pair that won't make my butt look massive, like my partner reckons this pair does..." the female demands. Another pair is handed to her to try. And so the wrong cycle repeats itself, the man wishing he'd stuck to his first response, instead of switching it to "massive", which means they'll be there for much longer, with a bad fight looming, when he was dying to get away for a few beers down at the local with his mates, where how jeans look on butts doesn't matter because, half the time, you can see their bare butts. Because their tattered, faded, dirty old blue jeans ar falling half way down their legs, anyway. So the question is hardly relevant. Or should be rephrased as "Does my bare butt look OK on these falling down jeans?" I really hate it when men get around with their pants half way down their bare butts but you often see this I public in Australia. That and young women sitting in short Denim raggy hemmed skirts, with legs spread, on public transport etc so you can see their knickers on full display. These guys and girls to should be fined for "indecent public exposure" because they offend many, who politely try to look away and ignore it, but it's hard....

    I don't want any hip pockets on my jeans at all. Pockets make my butt look bigger. I love the elastic top pull on, plain (no zippers, buttons, or back pockets), high rise, wide legs, dark even colored, and 100% cotton jeans. I want my tops (blouses, shirts, sweaters, T-shirts, sweats) to cover the whole top (down to my hips) of all my jeans, slacks, and skirts that I wear. Yes, I wear granny jeans (I'm 75 years old). I also wear granny panties. I am a grandmother. I was taught to hide my big butt.
